They do for sure. It will be interesting to see what happens between now and next year as they transition to mostly their own distillate and all these experiments that were done under Brian’s leadership run dry

Glad you enjoyed it Bill. I knew you'd like it. Now guess what? The Albarino finish batch 2 is out at the distillery. The first was amazing. Headed over tomorrow to pick it up.

@@bourbonbill It does start friday. I stopped in yesterday and they were kind enough to sell me one. It's really good. You get the grapefruit lemon lime citrus notes but it's balanced so well with the rye. They told me the 9 year is for sure this fall and the next port finish will be black friday.

@@bourbonbill For sure!! And the silver oak collaboration is on the table but they're not sure when. They're very content to let the whiskey age until they feel it's ready for prime time.
Just went to Sagamore today. Scribe Mead sold out last week. They have plenty of Manhattan finish and Vino de Naranja though.
Noo sorry I was about a week late on this review. That being said the vino is an immediate buy before it sells out too
Sagamore finishes are just putting other mgp finishes to shame. The Scribe Mead tastes like a toned down version of the cherry maple to me. A definite buy!
They absolutely are. I loved both but preferred the more viscous and honey addition to the scribe mead made it seem darker in profile to me
Bill did you see the next distillery only release? Amontillado!!! 4 year rye finished for an additional 4 years and 4 months in 66 gallon amontillado barrels. I've had scotch finished in this and it's crazy good.
What no I didn’t what even is Amontillado going to look it up lol

@@bourbonbill LMAO!!! Yeah it's a sherry that's medium dry. If you've ever had Fino it's very dry and also fantastic when whiskey is finished in it. Amontillado is medium dry so it's a little sweeter. Gonna be a dark whiskey.

Guess I made a mistake passing on the scribe mead finish. My brother in law picked one up for his buddy and asked if I wanted one. Need to make some room on the sagamore shelf for future releases

Man that’s tough I’m actually waiting for the amontillado to come in about a month and do a distillery exclusive shoot out lol. But both are great you can only get the Albariño now the scribe mead is sold out
