If the rod your welding with is a 1/8 " diameter , that would be .125 diameter , 1 amp per thousandth . That will get you close . Some machines are a little hotter or colder .
@@benthompson3732 what u suggest? mig? tig? they only have stick welding, and tack welding is fine in these situation they are probably welding a table frame or mini gate. Most likely theyll never even get a chance to weld a gas pipe in their lifetime. so these welds are just fine,
Or just use the proper amount of current. You're welding way too hot
