    Amazing video.I'm not sure if you can brake the record, because any balloon will popp once the pressure is 0.0.The weird thing is that temps. rises above 100K feet.Does the temp. rises at 100K feet also when you did night launches with no sun risen yet? Would it help, if you build balloon within the balloon?? So there is a pressure barrier and it may last longer, thus reach higher altitude.

    @Dwayne Kellum - I just found out recently that you can get a ride to 20,000 feet on a sky diving plane in the valley for only about 20 bucks. It would be interesting to see what pictures you could get out the glass free open door with your low distortion lenses. I don't know though if they require you to have a parachute, especially to stand in the open doorway. Of course it wouldn't be from as high, but at least you could more easily control the direction of your pictures than with a balloon.

      I used Dashware version 1.7.37 the encoder is dated so I make a green screen of the video with gauge and than overlay it with Vegas Movie Studio Premium 15. I couldn't get Dashware version 1.9.1 to work in 64bit. You will need too create a data profile in Dashware for your ZLog 7 and customize the gauges you want too use. Dashware 1.7.37 only works in 1080p so if you shoot in 4k you'll have to encode you green screen video in 1080p than overlay that onto your 4k video in your video editing software.

    Frame rate and spinning motion of the camera are responsible the "convexing" apparitions because, if you notice, as the slower the camera's rotational motion becomes the convexing disappears. It's a similar effect to how a fan blade, at a particular speed, appears to be motionless or even spin backward when recorded.

      EmeritusE But it's not at all similar, rolling shutter would distort things that are perpendicular to the direction of motion, not parallel. How could rolling shutter cause the horizon to appear curved? How is this effect similar to rolling shutter? How would the fact that it takes time to register the information from each element on the sensor cause cause a flat line that is parallel to the direction of motion to appear curved?

    • @zackfreeman8025

    • @emerituse3390
      @emerituse3390 5 років тому

      Zack Freeman Um, both are image distortions caused by motion? Yes, the horizon is curved. It's curved because the earth is curved. But as you see in your example, it's not convexly curved. When the camera was falling, and consequently twirling, the image became convex. (1:48) Similar distortions effects can be seen with a fisheye lens when straight lines move through the visual field, regardless of motion, but that is not the case here as he is using a rectalinear lens.

      Dwayne Kellum 477 miles, wow, in one direction. That means when the video spins 180 degrees we are seeing 477 again in the opposite direction, or 954 total miles. Wow , thanks Dwayne. This is close to calculations made in JTolans denoise infrared video where he maps a view of distant mountains at 600 miles from a plane at 35,000 feet asl. Double the view from the opposite side of the plane and total distance is 1200 miles. So flat. It is visually flat. Now think of this perspective is also in play, our vanishing point is up down but also right left. And perspective 360 degrees around us even at 1,000 or 1200 miles is circular, we will see curvature of horizon even on a flat plane, just imagine it as a big pizza. Our view only lets us see so far even from great heights.. thanks Dwayne great work.

    Dwayne, I downloaded the highest parts of your video. I selected several frames that showed the clearest horizon line, that had the camera as close to level as possible.
    I took them into photoshop and placed a grid on them.
    Taking into account that barrel distortion will cause straight lines below and above the centre line to be curved toward the centre line. This is what I have found.
    All the frames with horizon below the centre line are curving away from the centre line. Not by a huge amount, but quite clear against the grid.
    What this indicates is that, despite barrel distortion, the horizon curves down...as one would expect from a large sphere at this altitude.

    Can you tell what causes the balloons to burst please ?

    • @kudr66
      @kudr66 5 років тому +4

      To inflate the balloon, you need to fill it with so much light gas (hydrogen or helium), that the pressure inside it gets higher than outside. But as it climbs, the outside pressure drops gradually and the inside/outside pressure difference grows and grows. At some point, the material couldn't sustain it and the balloon pops.
      Don't forget that at sea level the atmospheric pressure is ~10 tons per square meter (> 2000 pounds per square foot) and as you go higher and higher it slowly drops to near zero.
      By filling it less, you could achieve the equilibrium at some altitude so that it doesn't burst. But then you don't get your equipment back ;-)

    You guys are missing it every time the temperature actually increases after a hundred thousand feet that's insane that's why all those balloons pop there's really no way to keep them from popping you would have do you have the largest balloons made would like Google's not to mention you can't fill them up very full because that's the whole problem here when the temperature starts to increase the molecules will expand so much and with no pressure to the outside of the balloon that's why they pop because the molecules keep expanding and there's no pressure to keep the balloon from popping the only reason balloons don't pop down here on the ground is because of the intense atmospheric pressure... the weird part is you can increase temperature with pressure with increased pressure and it's just odd that after the temperature drops and it reaches 100000 ft that the temperature starts to rise....

      That's not what a firmament is. The firmament is the gap between the ocean and the water in the sky, so we would be in the firmament. The real reason the temp increases is there is less atmosphere to block high energy particles from the sun, so heat transfered by radiation is stronger

    A brilliant flight, in terms of a bit of home engineering. But, as with the others: You can see new surface features coming into view over the horizon as the altitude increases, which is a direct contradiction of FE ideas, and is predicted as a result of the horizon dropping in the globe model. And this video doesn't directly allow measurement of whether the horizon drops with height or not: There's no reference point, and the image moves up, down, round and all over the place. I can (and have many times) see that the horizon drops with height using observations of the pillars of the Forth bridges up the estuary from me, a telescope, and the sea defense wall near my town - that view doesn't bounce all over the place at least (not an engineering criticsim, I know how tough it is to keep one of these balloons stable, just pointing out you can't do direct horizon measurements without a stable reference & image).

    Right so you do this and you still believe in a flat Earth? Going by your logo and bio.
    You need to google the scale of the Earth's atmosphere (in images), it will explain why you only barely see the curve at max altitude.
    Have you compared the horizons seen at low altitude to max altitude? Focusing on the shots where it is as close to central.
    Also, it you do believe in a flat Earth, then do you not believe in a dome and constant pressure? Most of them do. When clearly in reality there is a pressure gradient which is why you have and altitude limit and the balloon pops. I've done 2 launches myself and I really don't get how you can still be a flat Earther.

This is where you must answer and say that everything has gravity i.e. PARTICLES and is how all the dust, swirling gas and particles produced by alleged big bang clumped together so I would ask again and again,,,, ,, by what known MEANS of PROPAGATION did these particles employ to attract one another repeatedly!!? Conclusion!?? The liars of scientism will never DIRECTLY DETECT GRAVITY ITSELF PER CURRENT, FIELD, WAVE, BEAM, RAY OR PARTICLE ON THE EARTH PROVING THAT GRAVITY ITSELF IS FAKE!! FOR GRAVITY ITSELF TO ACCOMPLISH ITS WORK IT WOULD HAVE TO DIRECTLY INTERACT, INTRODUCE, ENGAGE OR ENGULF MATTER DIRECTLY TO PERSUADE OR DIRECT IT IN THE DIRECTION IT WANTS IT TO FOLLIW!! YOU CAN LIE TO YOURSELF BUT YOU WILL NOT LIE TO ME!
