"Do your job the right way, you get called the names you want to hear" WOW!! Are simple words of wisdom like this missing from the modern world or what??
In retrospect this clip is so infightful and on point. The end point is her name calling Garrett with the sole reason to put him down. She was a great character to show a true insufferable hypocrit to the bone.
It’s embarrassing that anyone decided to make a show about firefighters after this one. Nothing comes remotely close, except the guy who makes fun of the new shows on UA-cam and Facebook LOL.
Lou was my favourite - the moustache I think. I’m female and an emergency responder and the words twat and cunt are considered nouns and verbs. I’m Scottish though, so we give no fucks about obscene words.
The dark sense of humor within a unit of firefighters, police, military, etc. is just different. It's hard for someone who doesn't have 1st hand experience with it to understand why it isn't offensive.
I know I’m in the minority. But The t word and the c word don’t offend me at all. Maybe cuz I grew up around men and work with men. Maybe cuz I don’t take shit personally. It’s just a word. 🤷♀️
It's spelled "cancelled" and it ended in 2013 I think. The show isn't really well know nowadays unfortunately, and we'd be better off it was regarded with just appreciation like Breaking Bad.
In their own way, THEY ARE NOT LYING!!! Actions speak louder than words, and they weren't using their words in a mean way or as hate speech, that doesn't make it right to say it, but things have swung too far on the Politically Correct Meters.
Don't understand why so many people Gen Z would be perturbed by this. It was one of the first shows to acknowledge that domestic violence occurs among same-sex couples and that men too can experience sexual violence. This show brought feminism, race, queer, mental health, and more into traditional (toxic) masculine spaces, and shows these "lads" growing with the times or failing miserably for hiding everything in their booze, while at the same honouring the complexity of their humanity. It's brusque as fuck, but Denis O'Leary is hella intelligent. That and it was Gen Z that tarred a whole generation of WASP women with one word. Gen Z don't need aggression, they'll find other ways to get under our skin 😀
As a whole, Gen Z is a bunch of useless, sniveling, pus sacks. I thought nothing could be worse than the Millennials, apparently Gen Z took that as a challenge.
This was hands down the best show depicting first responders, bar none. The stupid programs on network TV today are completely inane. Diane Farr the woman in this scene is now joining one of the lame programs on today, I get it a paycheck is a paycheck, but c’mon she has to see the scripts ad think why?
MEN have different ways of dealing with stress from WOMEN. And MEN know its nothing personal. You give each other a hard time and move on. Tomorrow is another day.
I think she was perfect for the role because that voice made her annoying and this action of hers showed that she wasnt ready and a hypocrit. So her voice kind of signalled her character wich played the victim game and "everyone has to change for me because I am a woman" attitude.
This aged like fine wine. We need shows like this now more than ever.
Lmao! Can you imagine how many poor young "woke" things would react to this now days and have heart attacks???
@@glennbrymer4065 THat could be a good thing...

Absolutely it was so great hearing that
Simple and it was worded perfectly
This line at the end sums it all up the world over. Get over your feelings snowflake and do your job! Wish we could get this message out in 2022.
🤯
I miss this show soooo much.
Great show indeed. Glad it came out when it did because it would never air today
@@80sCardCollector absolutely. I started watching it again last week and I thought the same exact thing
Hell yeah.
Tommy sure knows how to give good advice when it's needed.
Tommy can deliver the best advice.
I miss this show bring it back

That's because Scots are tr@sh.
0:05 Tommy's expression when Mike says "name calling" lmao
I miss this America
It is still lile this where I live.
I saw this episode. Twunt made me laugh.

"I understand this so I'm bettter than all of you."
In the military women screwed up the unit cohesion. There I said it. Guess I'm going to be banned.
This show needs to be re-run in prime time so the softies can get a good earful and maybe learn something.
Bad ass show!!!
“Name calling.” is the correct term! 😂

You’re very special sweety
Right on Bro...
Great show
Klimke...invented for my ex and her never-ending hen party. 😂
This was when garritys mind started to snap about being a monkey
I’m surprised this show has not been “canceled”

It probably should've considering it's basically condoning sexual harassment
It sort of was. It was originally on ABC called THE JOB. They were all cops. But they took everybody and made them firefighters.

bottle1 lack I owned up to it and took it like a man.
what is twunt?
8 years later but here's your amswer. Twunt = twat + cunt
Twat and cunt. I know this is an old question, but still…
Oh what a wonderful time it was before shows n movies went woke!!
I use the term twat. I'm female. I find it amusing. Even better: twatwaffle.
Mistake #1…….letting women work in the firehouse
If this show aired today it would be cancelled before the intro credits finished.

Kudos to Laura
This show tried way too hard to be edgy.
Could the kids today really handle this show?
They're curled up in the fetal position hugging their blankie in a "safe space" somewhere.
This tv show has got to be one of my favorite shows and i’m 16. Don’t get why you’re being so close minded about the youth.
But they want to be treated like equals
