Is it necessary to read novellas cuz some people say it is but some says it is not
@@kritii8 i dont think its 100% necessary, in fact i dont own the physical copies of the novellas, but they do add to the story cause you get different povs and different character’s feelings on situations:)

I only read the series based off of your recommendation. Currently in the last book believe me. I absolutely loved the series. I read these books when they first came out and when I learned years later that she continued it, the books felt so insync and not disconnected and loved it, I recently bought the bookset and wanted to see an updated version of a review and yours seemed really on point and in depth without giving spoilers. LOVED IT , also just saw there will be a sequel coming out, can't wait to see where it leads to.

I think the added on books also give more growth for characters like Warner. And when looking at the characters' psyche over the series, it feels like a story of POTENTIAL SPOLIERS: how multiple teens who suffered parental abuse/trauma turn out differntly. SPOILER OVER
(Starting the series before the pandemic & reading into lockdown also had an impact on me. I escaped into a worse world, even when things were bad.)

Girll i am halfway through the series.....i am reading it very fast because that is how good it is. and i am scared like i don't want to finish the whole thing soon. because i know i will miss it so much. why does it have to be so hard. i don't want to shed tears after i finish it. i wish i had this super power where i could erase my memory at my will so i can reread all the books I liked and enjoy it as much as i had in my first time reading 😭
I read this series in like 9 days, it was so good and so shocking, a lot of things happened and the novellas are important to understand the characters, every character have different perspectives on what is happening, no book series will replace this incredible masterpiece the author gave us 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I would say yes. For me, they were as important as the main books. We learn so much about the other characters, their backstories, their thoughts and feelings, and what they did while Juliette wasn't there (since it's her pov a lot of the story isn't told in the main books). I fell in love with Warner in Destroy Me because it just felt like I understood everything (since in Juliette's mind he's VERY different). And the last novella is the ending, if you read the final book but not the final novella it's like not actually reading the ending, so...

I think it’s totally your choice! You can definitely read the series without the novellas BUT I personally think they add so much more to the storyline & getting different point of views is so helpful in getting to know the characters!
