I am a subscriber to a lady that does a live every Saturday evening (it’s a crafting group) and we very often mention you Suzy as she watches your channel too. So sorry you have been poorly, hope you will soon be fit and well, don’t forget the anti bac for hands when you go out and about, we still use it and so far have escaped most of the lurgy that is knocking about, some really bad coughs, one of my neighbours, a young girl of 38 or so has been diagnosed with whooping cough (she is a lecturer at a college) so lots of germs about, door handles, cashpoints, zebra crossing buttons all crawling with bacteria, so be careful all, be safe.

Downsizing makes sense when it’s just 1 - 2 people in house. Gives you free time to because you have less chores to do. ❤
House to flat = smaller property. Stop comparing old to new and life becomes far more enjoyable instantly. Good luck with the hunt😊
I know you must be so disappointed about the little flat you wanted…but sometimes things happen for the best..and, as you say, who knows what might happen with little flat!

Speaking of Pam Ayers again . She left a much loved home with deep regret but once done she realised she should have done it much sooner. In my experience of househunting you soon get over any disappointment of losing out on a place . Things might change a little with the housing situation now we’ve got a different lot in charge.

When you’re settled have you ever thought about helping Guide dogs, that might help to fill the gap that Jack has left.

I have an 87 yr old naturopathic Dr and she gives me a herbal mix for my clogged arteries which keeps me going.

Totally empathise re: the upkeep of houses as they and you age: I’ve just had a new roof (£8,300), guttering (£3,000) and garage door (£1,300) but because it’s got no stairs and is in a nice quiet area (close to rail station and buses) I’m clinging on for grim death!! You’ll know when the place is ‘The One’. Take your vits, rest up, read a book, eat healthy soups to give your digestive system a break and you’ll soon be well. x

I do a day out and then I need a day in to get over it!!🙄😂 I’ve been decluttering my jewellery this week and looking at your jewellery, I’m going to dig it all out and gave a rethink. I’ve got some chunky jewellery and keep seeing blogs saying only wear fine jewellery. It’s always saying big chunky jewellery is aging!!!! Well yours looks great,so I’m going to have to reconsider it all now🤦♀️🤣I’m always saying wear what you feel good in, but you tend to get a bit brain washed with it all!🤬Any vlog with you in it Susie is interesting to me, even if you painted something and we sat there and watched it dry, would be ok with me😂😂😂😂😎💕
I’ve gone the opposite way with maturity. Bigger the better in jewellery terms. Wear what you feel like. Don’t bother what people say or think. We are over all that rubbish.

So sorry you have been poorly, so many bugs going around at the moment. Keep looking at flats, you are now starting to get a feel of what you want. But it's horrible when you are in limbo and you feel you are living in a show house. Fingers crossed for a buyer and then you will be in a good position to buy. Happy flat hunting ❤

Moving is stressful and when we're stressed our immune system gets wacky and we get sick. You look beautiful and just think; a few months from now you will be resettled in your new place. Good for you!

Looking for a place is not easy work can be emotionally and physically draining.The decluttering will be very hard for sure. Make sure you have some sort of garage space for car and storage. Don't sell your car you can drive all over Europe in it. Sort of camp n drive thru holiday taking your time looking around no rush just at your own pace, You have to see Adelaide when to come to Aussie land. You do have a very nice and dramatic view of the beach from your place. I am sure you will miss it. Cheers.
Yep, the apartment could come back to you. Sometimes the apartment is right for the purchaser but the purchaser is not right for the apartment, it will play itself out, or you will find something even more suited to your needs. I am a renter and I'm glad I don't own, exactly for the reasons you mention and, I imagine, increasing taxes. I have a car and even that gets costly due to repairs, insurance, registration etc. Car repairs always come at the worst time, even my emergency fund is feeling the strain! Have a great day Suzi!
Thank you lovely. And yes, that's another reason I'm moving to where I'm moving. I can get rid of my car! Stupid expense and I hardly ever use it because the buses are so good here and Uber and I love walking! x
I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling poorly. I totally understand why you are moving/downsizing; you have entered a different phase in your life and you want simplicity, my husband and I did the same thing a year and a half ago and we haven’t regretted selling our beautiful home with the lovely garden. We now live in a much smaller condo, but we have the freedom to do things that we couldn’t before because of all the work that a house requires. And you are so right about the cost of owning a house, we wanted to free up the money (and our time) so that we could pursue activities that we’d always wanted to do.
Thank you so much for reminding me why I'm doing this before I'm too old! I know from so many of you that I won't regret it and I can't wait to have total freedom for new adventures! Bless you. x

Hope your viewing went well and that you are feeling 100% now. Loved your jewellery. I do also love seeing apartments. I will be moving in 3-4 years and am debating a small house with garden vs a nice flat. I also very much enjoy life in a day/day in a life vlogs - it's not always necessary to be doing Big Interesting Things - there's a lot of pleasure to be had in the quotidian.

I tried getting the Iris green necklace ages ago couldn't get it for love or money got some similar in different colours. I do like you doing your fashion parades. I'm enjoying my too big for me house and garden while I can but actually look forward to the downsizing in about 8 years. An exciting adventure, the trick is not to leave it too late but do it while you can enjoy it X

Oh no, wish you better quickly with your foot. My goodness that really is stressful. Every spare half an hour I have, I tackle a drawer or a cupboard to declutter keeping that tiny flat in mind! How on earth are you coping? x

You are so right about owning a home. It's a big investment that requires constant upkeep. You will love being near your friends and being able to walk to your local shops; sounds wonderful. Also, the freedom to lock up and go on holidays when you want.

It's definitely not an easy time to sell right now but what I've noticed in my own area is that the really nice properties do go quickly so I'd anticipate your house getting plenty of interest. My advice would be to sit back and wait until you've definitely sold subject to contract and then go out looking seriously. I met some old neighbours of mine yesterday. They moved to an apartment in their 70s and are now in their late 80s, independent and still going strong. Clearly not having to worry about house maintenance has worked out well for them.
I so agree on all above. And you're right, some properties - like that little flat I fell in love with - sell with bidding wars. Most, have been on the market since May! I think my house will be special enough to be snapped up by the right person! Keep positive! Suzi x

I absolutely think you are doing the right thing by looking for a flat now. It's being realistic something I need to do myself. Good to do it now while you have the energy and time. You are buying yourself freedom and having friends nearby etc will be a big win. Hope the flat comes back to you.

Yes I would, if it's the right offer. I've already thought through the worst (and best!) scenario. If someone truly wants to pay top dollar and needs to move in as soon as possible and wants some of my furniture, I'll put everything in storage and go away for a month or so. IF I have found somewhere that is also under offer with me. Solicitors take forever nowadays. Will keep you posted! x
