- .......the apartment that is! It's the first one we go to view on the vlog. We're going back for a second viewing this week so I'll keep you posted on Shorts during the week because I am away next weekend at a Festival and really need to rest my eye and finish the house stuff so I can enjoy myself dancing with Dalia! See you in two weeks. I really need a break from staring at videos during this healing process, hope you understand! Suzi x

The first flat with the beautiful green outlook is definitely the loveliest. I think this greenery and the squirrels and foxes will provide you with much more interest than the sea view. The sea view flat had an isolated feeling while the first one felt private but connected to community. Best of luck with everything.

Number one…..space over sea view for a permanent home. Sitting room has double aspect so lots of light on a gloomy day. And a balcony which looked like it was getting the sun. And a pass through from the kitchen….. how wonderful is that - letting more light into the kitchen.

Morning Suzi, I skipped ahead to the flat viewings and as much as the sea view was nice from the bedroom in the second flat, the first one instantly felt homely and safe. I loved the wildlife and greenery and think you’d be happy in that block once you’d added your own personal touches.
I’m sure it’s quite stressful and unsettling for you at the moment but you’ll soon be settled in your fab new home:)

The fist flat was lovely. I would knock the wall down between the loo and the bathroom which might give you room to squeeze a small bath in with a shower over the top. Personally I hate a loo without a wash hand basin!

That first apartment was lovely. The view from flat 2 was great, but no point if you can't open the window due to noise, and the street noise will continue even when the building ends.

The first flat was so lovely and only a couple of minutes to the sea. Brighton ist such a great place, wish I could pack my stuff and move. You are such an inspiration, Suzi! Good luck with the operation!
Hi Suzi, the first apartment was absolutely stunning and (importantly) beautifully maintained. If you wanted to renovate the bathroom to add a bath I’m sure you could do that further along the line. It looked to be quiet and peaceful and had lovely gardens and communal spaces as well as the balcony to give you some private outside space (was it large enough to have a table and chairs or bistro set on the balcony)?
I hope your cataract operation went well - thinking of you - feel better soon - love and hugs (and fingers crossed for your new apartment) xx
Just big enough for a bistro set and wait till you see what I have planned for a balcony "garden"!x

My stepmother had a beautiful flat right on the front at Worthing with wonderful sea views, but the noise and pollution from traffic etc was too much so she moved.

You have always to make compromise of 1 or 2 things. There is rarely everything what we wish....
I love that first one too hope you choose it. Don’t worry about a bathtub. I like my bath too, but we’re getting up there in age and few years down the road will be so glad we had just walk-in shower.
oh the first one is the best. the seafront is also very noisy as well with cars, plus the occasionally motorbikes races, what are they all about, and very light at night with the streetlights. good luck with it x

First apartment lovely double aspects and nice high ceilings which make rooms look larger. Lovely views and gardens. Definitely offer on the first. Every home I’ve bought has always been due to the good vibes as you walk through the front door. I always say it’s because the love has been absorbed. Good luck ❤. Glad to see the eye op went well, another tick on the list of jobs to be done before the big move.

Love that first flat. Go for it. You can always put a tub in before or save for one after. It's so beautiful beyond belief and with all the critters.
The 1st home was lovely. I loved the greenery and the quiet environment.
You could replace with a shower bath julkussi and remove that shower and that awful green .It's a lovely apartment

I loved the first one .The greenery was amazing ..the squirrel was the cherry on top and You could always extend the spare room into the bathroom and have a bath!! After living in Spain with SO MUCH building work,I suppose the green would do It for me.We didnt see much of theckitchen but it looked really nice.Adored your dresses and your godson IS gorgeous and a darling to boot!BEST OF luck for op tomorrow .Lovely vlog thank you❤❤❤

Both flats were lovely but the first flat for me was the winner so far,hope your eye op goes well.
Fabulous vlog as usual Suzi. The sea view was beautiful but it doesn’t compensate for the noise. The other flat- wow!!! Everything you want nearly, and as you said it is all about compromise, would you hate not having a bath? I absolutely love that pink dress every time I see it I am pink with envy!!!! Hope your cataract surgery went well, keep on shining ❤
I'm currently also mid move, so much to downsize, but cathartic. The first flat had more of a good feel about it. Good luck for tomorrow xx

I love the first flat and agree with changing to the other bedroom. The green views from so many windows is tops and so many storage places if the closets and long set in the hallway is included. A sea view out the bedroom is nice but I didn't like the view from the balcony, I didn't know what it was but it looked industrial and the reason for the laundry in the bathroom is the close proximity to the water lines. I follow this guy on YT who doesn't have a tub in his apartment so once or twice a month he takes a little trip and rents a hotel with a tub. Good luck with the surgery, this week I take my friend who is having the same thing done.
I used to have a separate loo, got very annoying so had the wall knocked down to combine both, bath removed and just have a shower now, much better.

I really hope you get the first flat, it's lovely. Does the separate toilet have a sink - if not you could consider getting a tiny sink installed, I've even seen a sink that is part of the top of the toilet!

I personally like the first one best .... I think the sea view is lovely ... but I wonder is there ever any horrible winds/storms that blow in from the ocean ?? That would make it miserable and cold on that side of the flat,,, Just something to think about... the first one had lovely gardens.... and nice and quiet...
Dreadful winds, that's why I don't want to live on top of the sea anymore! Greenery much more important to me now. x
First flat perfect nice layout good size rooms. Nice decor no need ti so anything straight away. Outside space very tranquil. ❤

If you take it be sure to ask to keep ALL the cabinetry in the hallway and bedrooms.

1st apartment was more spacious than 2nd flat & tho night as high up as you’d like, you still had a fab view of nature.. always a compromise (e.g no bath)- but I’d go for it ….
In Russia it's normal to have washing machine in the bathroom!

I loved both apartments for different reasons. The first apartment has the nature element you desire. The walk-in bath will be appreciated as you age; I had to change out my bath due to hip replacement surgeries. The beach apartment is lovely as the sound will slow down in the evening and gives you variety to watch each day. You could put your bed head under the window. I loved the live meditation and music. How blessed you are with all the free activities to enjoy! It’s your choice because you are the only one living in your home. Good luck with your cataract surgery!
I stayed in my cousins flat on the beachfront in Brighton a few years ago, and the noise was incredible from traffic (it’s a very busy main road) and passing louts, shouting and yahooing. Forget the sea view! Windy and wild in winter. The first flat was superb.

The first flat fabulous 😍.you would regret buying with a sea view with no wildlife tweet tweet etc.. I live in Adelaide South Australia IV not got sea view but close to beach just a short walk I have lots of wildlife around my garden and love it wouldn't swap for sea view.
Loved loved that 1st apt!! So green and peaceful. Living room and dining room were so spacious, airy and light. ❤

The first flat has such a nice large living room area. I like how the kitchen has a window into the dining area. Makes it seem brighter and larger.

The first flat was gorgeous. I think a view of greenery and trees is so much more interesting than a full on sea view. The changing of colours in the seasons. Just beautiful! The flat looked as though it had a very nice feel about it. A sort of calmness. I am hoping to be lucky re a scarf. Just started packing up things ready for our impending house move. Tons of paperwork for solicitors. So exciting though x

Deffo first flat ! You could change bathroom take out shower tray and screen and put in bath with shower I think ! You’ve got nature around you as you said short walk to the sea and quiet ! 😊 👍
Definitely the best flat you"ve viewed - not too near the busyness of the beach, and beautiful seasonal nature views all year round.
I preferred the first one, beautiful! Who needs a sea view, you can go and look at it anytime and it only looks pretty when the weather is nice.

The first apartment was lovely and looks like a home with lots of wall space for your art work and storage. The garden views make for a peaceful view. I could live there. The lack of bathtub may not be such a big negative because as we age a shower is easier to get in to. Flat #1 seems to be a winner!

@jillhellens2232 That’s what I was wondering. The flat is gorgeous but there’s no sink in the WC (that I can see) and that would put me off but if I could take the wall down I’d love that flat.

Flat 1 lovely, reminded me of my mum and dad’s retirement flat they used to live in. Lots of wildlife and unfortunately my dad got into trouble for feeding the foxes 🤦♀️

Flat one absolutely the one ! Gorgeous views and feeling of being surrounded by trees and nature. I wouldn’t want the noise from building work or tourists on the sea front. I would love to know the price.
Loving the first one, view is great on the second one but that was the only plus. Too noisy when you are not used to noise, so I think number one is fab. Good luck, lots to think about 😊
