You need to watch more of Sanjeev Kumar....what a wonderful actor. Even Jaya Bhaduri was such a delight to watch
Please react to kanne kalaimane by yesudas sir of voice of legends please
Sanjeev Kumar was one of the finest actors who died young, but his presence in any movie is enough to watch it! You guys watched him in Sholay!
Truly great actor!
Absolutely 🙏🙏
My favorite is Angoor😋😋
Angoor
Hero was acting in such a weird way because he found the heroine in a street. He brought her in order to protect her from any mishap. And then he came to know that she lost her memory and was under the impression that the hero was her husband. Thats Y he was not accepting her
Thank you! Nobody is being painfully shy. Actors are acting in accordance with their characters and the story. And in terms of talent, Sanjeev Kumar might be out of a lot of people's league!
Yess.. but there is no use explaining this to them because they are Americans...all they know is dropping pants.
And who knows if she has some STD or just plan to murder him in his sleep. He's cautious and says 'No'. That should be the end of it.
@@dancerchick Not all Americans have that gross mindset.
@@saatsamunder15 You are right.
Sanjeev Kumar was a legend ...he was being this way in this scene because he saved this girl who doesn't have her memory of past ..so he was being a gentleman and not taking advantage of her ...while the girl thinks she is this man's wife...
Exactly...they need to see the movie to understand the context of this beautiful song...
Super
@@arcturusn9845 actually before reacting on Hindi songs they should've gathered this much information that in our movies every song links the story of the film or the songs are made according to the requirement of the scenes ,but they think Hindi songs are like their pop videos !
exactly every song or rather sensual song doesnt have to be sex or intimate scene oriented the Americans need to get that this song is a perfect example of sensuous ness and romance and at the same time not vulgur at all one of the best creation from the 70s
@@abhirupdey1591 Well said 👍
This song is iconic! And a great example of how a song can be sensual without the heroine wearing skimpy clothes, hero being shirtless, and no over the top raunchy expressions. Only powerhouse of actors like Sanjeev and Jaya could pull this off.
No shit it was made pre 1990
You should review Sanjeev Kumar’s films. He was one of the greatest film actors in Indian Film industry. Very versatile and came from theatre background.
Beautifully stated 🤗
@TM Normal people in America do wear full clothes.
What the hell are you talking about that ONLY Sanjeev and Jaya could pull this off when SO MANY have pulled it off before and after them, lol.....Just another example of how senseless fans can be.
Sanjeev Kumar was a very good actor... arguably the best of his time. Watch some of his movies and you'll know
Very good he was one of the best not only very good...
HE WAS THE ANOTHER BEST ACTOR IN THE INDIAN CINEMA.
They've seen Sholay
In Koshish....He just lived that role.....He is a gem....
A little tip while reading Hindi that's written in English script ( Romanized). Whenever you have a word ending with n, you don't have to pronounce n fully, just a nasalized n will suffice, for example " bahon " read it baho + nasalized n ( not an absolute n ) and mein , read it me + little nasal n .....Actually in hindi we have a vowel for that nasalization.
Good explanation I hope they read n learn it.
Yes. In Bengali language too.
Are bhai kise bata rahe ho tum... Vo log to sirf petrion ki hi bate sunte hai tumhari cmnt to vo padhenge bhi nahi....
Korbin, without fail makes Bharta out of every Hindi name and word. Can't understand why they don't practice pronunciation before turning on the camera😏
This one is a pure gem. Sanjeev Kumar is one of the best actors. I really like his work a lot.
He 'Sanjeev Kumar' is a very very good actor.. Remember he is Thakur - Jaya Bhaduri's Father in law in shole..in this movie they are opposite each other..you have to see this movie why he is like that. and best movie of them is 'Koshish' . Also in one movie 'Parichay' he played role of her father.. He is a very good actor.. You have to explore him yet
They won't listen. Don't waste your time and energy.

Sanjeev kumar is well remembered for his versatility and genuine portrayal of his characters. His double role in the film Angoor was listed among the 25 best acting performances of Indian cinema by Forbes India on the occasion of celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema
Sanjeev Kumar is GOAT! His early demise is such a catastrophic loss for the film industry. I try to imagine what all masterpieces he would have given us were he alive today.
His prudence was for a reason. The movie is not fantastic but really interesting and definitely worth a watch. Both Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri are excellent in it.
Lata mangeshkar Aao feels like heaven
Lol, he's not a prude....you don't know the storyline of the movie
Even if they don't know it, that still doesn't make him a prude or save them from being hypocrites
Even if he ws not a stranger to her, his behavior still doesn't deserve any form of criticism
Right...unfortunately they are not used to such subtle romance..they don't understand the beauty of this song...intimacy is not just limited to physical contact..
@@arcturusn9845 maybe they don't like it because Western only prefers Nudity in movies shows and we adore soft subtle romance and Sensuality unlike Western Nudity
You must must know Jaya Bhaduri was an established talented successful star in film industry when Amitabh Bacchan was Unknown to Industry. She promoted Amitabh... Without Jaya Amitabh might not have reached this level.
Absolutely. There's no question that Jaya is the better actress.
Funny how people always try to find other actors , singers or people as reason why AB became sucsessfull 🤣
Sanjeev Kumar one of the best actors... Ahead of his time
Exactly!
Absolutely, that's why Satyajit Ray chose him for his only Hindi movie
@@ameetrana777 yeah!! Shatranj ke khiladi... Great ensemble
If you show everything in public then what’s left for imagination??? Also she didn’t get nearly half offended as u guys did😂😂… here it’s ok to keep certain things private..
True.. !! 👌✌
I really don’t understand this logic of saying that India is where Kamsutra came from. I mean Vatsyayan never said to practice it in the open. Isn’t this the beauty of different cultures around the world? The amount of hostility Rick shows towards his audience is appalling. He is always angry, always sour about something.
Kamasutra was made in India when sex was not a taboo.. Sex only became a taboo later in India. So it's not right to compare Indian society from two timelines which are completely different...
@@chiffchaff very well said
"Shyness" is "Victorian" influence, Korbin, learn to create an atmosphere rather than dropping one's pants straight away, you should check out the kind of things RD used to create sounds,Lata herself pointed this as one of her favourite, required lot of effort to get tonal quality with emotions
Well said !!!
It's completely absent from American culture after 60s
@Rohit kumar It is accurate. Prudishness towards sex is not an Indic thought. It is indeed a very Christian notion.
And Americans have shed Christianity at large since 50s
@@st.mephisto8564 Christianity had little to do with it other than a small percentage of Puritans. Who lost power after the fall of Cromwell and had to escape to America. The next time prudishness came up was in Victoria's time in England and it had nothing to do with Christianity. The young Indian men who went to England brought it back along with noble ideas of widow remarriage and abolition of Sati.
@@saatsamunder15 I agree that Puritans took this notion to extreme but Christians form the core of anti-sex attitude.
India wasn't like that. We are Pagan country, we had elaborate temples depicting sexuality. Obviously this is a British influence.
Absolutely love this song! A prime example of why I'm an R.D.Burman fan!
BTW, Sanjeev Kumar is one of India's finest actors! He was the Thakur in Sholay!
HE IS NOT PRUDE, PLZ WATCH THE MOVIE FIRST THEN JUDGE GUYS.. HE IS ANOTHER BEST ACTOR IN THE INDIAN CINEMA. 😊SANJEEV KUMAR SIR, HIS ACTING IS PHENOMENAL AND HE IS MY FAVORITE ACTOR SIR 😊
Mah gawd Jaya Jee was so adorable.....
True..!! 👍👌
Sanjeev Kumar was such a great actor, probably the greatest of all times. Do watch Koshish movie starring both Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri (Bachchan). You will love it.
The strange closeups are probably because of the original 4:3 cropped to 16:9 ratio.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Absolutely....but these two pricks are far too immersed in their supposed know-it-all attitude to comprehend that.
Yeah. Even a novice like me got that. Aren't these guys cinema experts?
Wow… that certainly escalated.
@@adityabose26 thats why they r stupid. lol. but this is not expected from rick.he is an experienced actor singer and has good knowledge of camera angles but still he acts like a fool sometimes.
No he is doing that because she is not his wife and he is respecting that. You have to watch movie to understand. It’s about a woman who claims to be his wife but she isn’t
TBH even if they don't have the context they still shouldn't be judging or critiquing his behaviour
Even if they're a couple, he ws still visibly uncomfortable from her advances & didn't want to engage in anything physical.....that should've been the end of it irrespective of the context
@@anantsharma6365 exactly but they seem to make assumptions of the men in songs without knowing the full context. In fact Hindi male characters are mostly so beautifully portrayed especially in older movies that it’s hard to find men like that. I agree they shouldn’t immediately judge, they would actually call the guy a creep if he kept doing what she was doing. There is a bias regardless of any claims of equality.
Sanjeev Kumar the Thakur of Sholay. Great actor. He was not being a prude, he was being a gentleman and didn't want to take advantage of her. Don't want to give you a spoiler
Last night I was listening this song.. While having walk on the road... And Lata Jee voice, it is just magical.. Love from Pakistan ❤️🇵🇰💚

When u dont understand the culture ur perception will be based on what u learnt from ur culture which is poles apart from what was our values during that era

'Anamica' (the nameless one) is a lovely movie to watch for your classic month! A good intro to Jaya Bhaduri/Bachchan and also Sanjiv Kumar (he played the vengeful old jailor Thakur in Sholay! Did you guess?) RD Burman's genius coupled with Lataji's silken vocals at their melodious best in this one! If we tell you WHY Sanjiv Kumar is being a prude, half the plot of the movie will be revealed....so just watch it!
I m so so watching it. I have watched it but my hindi was not very good n i was too young. Thanks for the recommendation.
Drop the pants? Prude? Really? Do you guys even know what creating an atmosphere is? And no a guy necessarily doesn't always want to do it .. what kind of miserable desperation is that? I mean he is being respectful to her..It's not an American film where they don't even have a count of how many people they slept with. That's not what old Indian films condoned. They used to be more about love and marriage and not jjst one night stands for god's sake 🙄🙄🙄
@Silver 0001 exactly. It's their thinking according to what happens in their country, not ours. They should know they are watching Indian content and not American.
Dude, they don't know the backstory.. No need to get so offended.. They are thinking they are in a relationship...
That is their culture they grown up.
@@road3524 Just for a small misunderstanding you are accusing American culture. America has many faults, but this is not one of them...
It is just them reacting to what is happening in front of them...
They did not see the subtle flirtations and avoidance to physical touch and intimacy which is not there in American culture. And they thought these two people are a couple...

I had a huge crush on Sanjeev Kumar. He was such a great actor and had an amazing charm. This song was the sweetest between innocent Jaya Bhaduri and Sanjeev Kumar.
Bow down to Lata Mangeshkarjee.... unparalleled.... what a voice, what a song.....
Sanjeev kumar was another legendary but underrated actor of that era, who was known to be very gentlemanly and decent in both reel and real life.....he was a very fine character actor....Sanjeev kumar, Raj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar....they were the legendary trio of that time...watch the Raj Kumar's film song called - "Yeh duniya yeh mehfil mere kaam ki nahi"... & then watch Rajendra kumar's film song - "Baharon phool barsao"... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ from kolkata
What a lovely song 😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Oh, these songs, just send me immediately back to the good time. Can't tell you many hours it took to download the video of this song from a 2G network...
I used to listen to it a lot in school. Those were good times. Not so much hatred was around the world and social media

Latamangeshkar ❤😍😘🙏🔥1
Kamasutra is not about sexual positions or eroticism and popular for the same around the world. It's just part of it. This book written about art of living which tells about how finance, economy etc are should be managed in personal life.
If he wasn't a prude... the song wouldn't exist....

Two legendary performers..Jaya and Sanjeev...loved them together .....u should watch Sanjeev kumar classics.. what a performer☺
Lol, is that Ranveer's dad?! Guys, he s the thakur from Sholay!!!
He is indeed Ranveer's dad in terms of acting lol
Sanjeev Kumar is a brilliant actor and I highly recommend watching the movie Koshish starring Jaya Bacchan and him.

Difficult to sing this song, latamangeshkar 😍❤😘🙏
Lata ji's voice uff 🔥❤️
Such a beautiful song. How did we go from this to Tony Kakkar and Tanishk Bagchi?
Seriously, every time I hear their so called, songs on Fm, which is often, I wonder this very point, what went wrong?
please do not compare bharat Ratna with road side singer
This is one of the most beautiful gem you'd ever hear.
Sanjeev kumar acted in genres ranging from romantic dramas to thrillers, and was voted the seventh greatest actor of Indian cinema of all-time
And just to let u know.... U r watching the two best actors of that era .
Just yesterday a friend asked me why Latas style was so great. I said it was also her ability to pack the most intricate movements in such a way she would have sung it and you won't even notice it. So often I have to play some parts of her songs at half speed to hear what's going on. And to nobodys surprise, she sounds perfectly in sur even at half speed. For instance, the thing at 4:05 here. What a clean sweep! And she never let her dexterity become the most visible thing about her singing, that's perhaps why her art is so believable.
She is Lata Mangeshkar, institution of music herself.
Classy High level romantic song luv u R D Burman ❤️❤️
Guys u couldn't recognise Senjeev Kumar, he was the iconic "Thakur" in Sholay (The Old Handless) where he played Father-in-Law of Jaya 😅
They did an amazing performance in a movie called "Koshish", great performance by both.
Great Sanjeev Kumar. Most versatile actor

This song is everything 😭
if you watch the film the hero won't seem prudish. It fits the into the film and the situation completely
Such a lovely and melodious song. My favourite
They missed all the great singing by Lata. The beauty and variety from aa to o (in the Aao) is out of this world. Only Lata can sing this so effortlessly, still so clearly and melding it with the rest so well.
He's not anybody.. Sanjeev Kumar from Sholay which film you adore so much (I assume) and fail to recognise him 😭😂
The greatest actor to have come on stage. she loved him. First love

This is an evergreen song. This song never gets old. Jaya Badhuri is an awesome actress, better than her husband. Sanjeev Kumar is a great actor. You guys need to explore their work more.
Better than Amitabh? Absolutely not. Look at Amitabh's performance in movies like Don, Sholay(especially his effortless comedy), Abhimaan (actually both were equally good in that movie), Aankhen, Pink, Aks, Sarkar, Sarkar Raj and the list goes on and on.
I understand people like to say that he is just a superstar and not an actor but damn he is the best ever

The actor is Sanjeev Kumar (Thakur from Sholay) a great actor and he was playing that kind of man as in movie Jaya Bhaduri was playing a role of mentally ill lady who thinks that Sanjeev Kumar is her husband whereas she is total stranger to her
"He pushed her away and shut the door on her, without a Kiss" ... this is reason enough to end most marriages in the western world ... !! ... well, not in India, and this can be a classic, textbook example of the cultural differences, the difference in sensitivities in our relationships, as compared to the west ... there is no place for ego or distrust in an intimate, loving relationship in Indian culture ... !! ... What a superb, heavenly voice of most beloved Lataji 👍
I read somewhere that in this song Lataji started the song with a soft tone and by the time the line came to an end intentionally made it louder to aptly satisfy the requirement of this scene, where the actor had to 'sush' at the end of the line of the song.
Sanjeev Kumar is was great actor if you can recognize he is Thakur from Sholay and he infact assembled the cast of Sholay ,also in real life Jaya and him were like siblings,in these days Jaya was more popular than Big B
I have been listening to this song since I was 2. It's my mom's favorite song.
Translation kills the beauty of lyrics as delicate words don't get correctly translated into English language hence it is very crude... Instead of romantic soft fragile feelings in the song...

Their reaction to many of the movie songs are off the mark because they fail to see there is a story behind the way the characters are behaving. The songs are endearing to us because we know the whole scenario. Those who give them the brief should also include a line or two about the overall scenario.
How hard is it to do a little searching while commenting after the video?
Or read up on the story beforehand.

Watch n listen "meri bheegi bheegi si palkon main......" song sung by Kishore Kumar (lip synced by Sanjeev Kumar) composed by RD Burman from this same movie! Another beautiful number from Anamika.
And one request to both of you🙏 stop your crude jokes while reacting to these classics because it's really irritating and it hurts👎👎! These songs are some of the golden memories and sweet nostalgia as well for us Indians! Just listen to them feel them and enjoy them which, I think, is not very difficult for you two after reacting to so many Indian contents for so long!

Absolutely. The crudity is increasing.
Please dislike this reaction.., and do not suggest these 'Gems of songs to them'; my heart hurts when they ruin them. "meri bheegi bheegi si" is the best., I will cry if they ruin it also. Sanjeev Kumar ji is out of league for these reactors.
@@manyfacedonegod7243 I already disliked it and I'm really sick n tired of their foolish reactions and wonder how they do away with it! We should really take it seriously and instead of accepting their outrageous act (it's a shame!) we should unanimouly and summarily reject it✊
