    Vigier is a high quality guitar maker with factory not too far from where Tina lives, founded by Patrice Vigier. A unique thing about their guitars is that the neck has a carbon fiber spine and does not have a truss rod. No adjustments needed, immune to temperature/humidity variations.

Sadly, Vigier will stop to product their guitars. I wanted to order a second one with my specifications a few months ago, but they have stopped getting commands just at this moment. Little sad....

    Herman Li only saw this cover last year and was stunned.
    In this reaction, apart from exposing how humble and a great human being he is, he said a few things :
    1/ After hearing the first part of the solo:
    "Oh sh..t. I didn't know how good she played that solo. Wow, okay. I am gonna watch that again for one second. Wait a minute, wait a minute. Wait a minute »
    then he replay a bit and continue watching it until the end of the solo with a stunned face.
    After the solo part:
    "Oh f…, sh... Well she killed it. Pfff. Damn! Okay. People say in the chat this is the best cover for "The fire and flames". I guess maybe it really is now. It happened a long time ago but I haven't looked at this. I saw it once back in 2015 but I did not have paid attention. I said Oh cool another person covered For the Fire and Flames. But sh..! (…) I know who to call if I decide to stop playing this song. (..) I thought that was sick! Brutal! (..) and she was chewin gum at the same time. Just to show I'm a badass and look cool. That was an insane cover."
    2/ Question from the chat: "What else could she improve on?". His response: "Am I even qualfiied to say anything like that? Probably not. "
    3/ "Does she miss emotions? Everyone show emotions in different ways. I can definitely feel emotions in the way she plays the notes."
    4/ "She used Guitar Hero tracks for the song and she learned from it, but the way it is made, there is one track for the drum, for the piano if any, one for chords if any, one for the bass, and only ONE for the guitar.
    In our Dragonforce band and in this song, in addition to the bass, there are 2 guitarists, a lead guitar and a rythm guitar, and when I recorded the tracks for Guitar Hero I merged Sam's track and mine into a single one and uploaded it as the single guitar track. There is no way for her to distinguish and isolate one from the other. So she is playing here Sam's track and my track altogether, combined. Using an harmonizer."

    Great reaction! The sound Tina makes with her guitar, like a wah wah wah sound is when she uses the whammy bar. I haven't detected her using a wah-wah pedal in this song. You can see her grab the bar with her right hand. Some people say her videos are sped up, but Herman Li of Dragon Force, who played the solo knows she's legit. You can see her hair swing naturally and the cords of her bracelet all move naturally while she's playing. She is an awesome talent and I hope some day we can enjoy more of her playing. I second the vote for reacting to her covers of For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner. Those songs show how she puts so much emotion into her music. She may look calm, but listen to the passion in her playing. I always get tears and goosebumps listening to her play those songs.

    Hey Tee! I was very excited when this came up in my search. Tina S is my favorite guitarist and The Warning is my favorite band. Now we have something else we can chat about. I've been supporting Tina since her first cover came out and yes she is 15 in this video. Some basic info for you...Vigier is the name of the guitar. They are a French guitar company and Tina is one of their featured artists. Tina studied classical guitar from the age of 6 -13 when she switched to electric. Her electric guitar teacher was Renaud Louis-Servais and he recorded all of her covers. Fun fact: He also has taught Dany from TW. I asked Dany about it on a recent live chat and she confirmed and said he was wonderful to work with. This cover and the Beethoven one tend to be the most watched because of the speed and precision, but my favorites are For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner. They take feel and emotion to get correct and she really shines on those. She also put her own style on them. Hope we get a TW live feed tomorrow. If so hope to see you in the chat. I would love to hear more of Tina if you want to continue reacting to her.

    Great reaction, Tee. I love how your resonate to her play.
    She was 15 and 11 months when this was recorded.
    She is not nonchalant: When she is focused, she feels everything inside and translates emotions thru her fingers, not thru theatrics in her face. Her concentration face makes her look like she is bored or thinking to something else, but it’s the opposite: she is in the zone when this happens.
    Her guitar teacher, who recorded this one in hos studio, is named Renaud Louis-Servais and appears to be the teacher of many famous guitarists in the world, including Daniela Villareal from The Warning.
    I recommend you to check her Altitudes (Jason Becker) and For the love of God (Steve Vai) cover. They are even more mesmerizing. And you will see indeed she czptures each unique guitar god style in their own masterpieces while adding a little spin of her own on top of it. Her cover of Steve Vai is often considered as better than the original.
    I will post another comment with details on Herman Li’s reaction.

      Eric is everywhere where there is good music !!
      About her face and concentration, it makes me think of something I do too: I visualize the fretboard while I look away, and my hand reproduces what I visualize. So most of the time I don't need to look at the neck, only when I'm making long slides or things like that. I don't know if some others guitarists do this too.

      I saw some video of her as a child and even then she looks very serious when she's playing. The only thing Herman Li found to criticize about her was joking about how she needs to do silly guitar faces and get a fan to blow her hair. During his reaction, he's actually doing guitar faces while he's listening.

    • @ericsicard910
      @ericsicard910 Рік тому

      @@leong1190 yes, I believe her poker face is not intentional, just the face she has when she is focused and in the zone. Emotions are pouring out of her fingers, not her face.

    There are a lot of people that can't walk and chew gum... But Tina did this.
    Yes, she was 15 at the time. No, it's not sped up. Herman would have noticed. Also, if you watch her hair moving it's normal time.

  • @Scott_Diverscott
    @Scott_Diverscott Рік тому

    One way to tell that Tina is playing in real time and that it's not sped up is to watch her hair and the strap on her left hand. They move and fall with the same natural speed, continuously, because of gravity and physics. If it had been sped up, her hair would fall super fast. You can see her move her hand super fast by how the strap on her wrist whips back and forth. Incredible talent. I hope she still plays, somewhere. This was great.
