The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

This performance is absolutely incredible. The technical prowess of the musicians along with the sheer entertainment factor is off the charges. This is why Al and his band have been together forever.
Wow - that would have been very tricky to play live!
Anyone here in 2023? He still has the exact same guys with him, and they've only gotten better.

I've always been bothered by al saying "beat" instead of "hook" during Ice Ice Baby. There has to be a reason why he said it
I wonder if it's a reference to when Vanilla Ice was trying to defend himself against plagiarizing "Under Pressure"? Ice would say that his song has an extra "beat".
