Kargil has been a recent name of our abode and Purik is the historically correct nomenclature we have.In all the historical accounts ,you can find Purig and not Kargil.
To add to our knowledge,a rock with the historical background of Passar Khar written on it in Tibetan script still stands grounded near our house at Fikar.
Thankful to Haji Baqir sahab for his efforts in giving life to the legends of Gasho Tha Tha Khan and his descendants who gave their sweat ,blood and lives for the glory of Purig and the safety of its fellow people.
Indeed the contributions of late Kacho Sikander Khan Sikander will always be written with golden words today and in the times to come.
Again,the orator with his excellent skills and his research has proved to be a beacon in the sphere of our rich historical accounts .
