When playing bongos you do use the side of your thumb quite a lot, without injuring it.

There are around 100 presets so it's easy to get up and going but it does take a little bit of time if you want specific sounds and specific notes on specific pads

Thanks for this video. I am thinking about buying this unit but not sure if it's complicated to set up and play.

I got one recently and I am experiencing a lot of trouble setting it up.

...been playing the Handsonics since they first came out. Use them too often and you'll wind up losing the technique you developed on the real instrument. Definitely requires some technique adjustment. Lot of interesting sounds, however they need a lot of modifying to get anywhere close to the real thing. They also are quite sensitive to p a systems you play through and are useless without amplification. I have a kind of a love/ hate relationship with the thing! I use it mostly as an add-on. My kit's become a sort of hybrid kit these days. Most gigs I get hired for require I bring the real thing. Thanks for sharing!

Coupled with a 2box drummodule you can load almost any sounds you want i use one but with a Launchpad pro for the 64 pads and extreme sensibility it's really great!
