    Great video! I am considering getting this device. I have a mix of midi devices and midi capable eurorack I have not been able to find any info on the pads and if each can be assigned midi or internal sample. Can this be done? I have a feeling it may be something where your either in midi trigger mode or internal sample trigger mode.

      Thanks for viewing.
      To be honest, I don’t really have much experience using MIDI. I know each sound can be edited and assigned a MIDI channel. I am not sure how to answer your question as I don’t fully understand. Are you asking if you can trigger using MIDI from the pads as well as assign the pads to be triggered from an external source? The latter half of that question I’m not totally certain. I would have to check the manual. I don’t use MIDI for any of my Roland pads so that’s something I just never learned to do.

      Are there any devices which can allow both internal sample and MIDI trigger at the same time? And why are the advantages and reasoning behind that?

    Is this hard on your hands at all? Any more difficult than say drumming on your legs or pressing buttons on a keyboard? I have some hand injuries is all, but very much like the application of sounds of this compared to drum machines.

      Hi! Thanks for the question. I’d say it’s even EASIER especially with any injuries. The sensitivity (which can also be dialed in) is great. This pad takes minimal effort to achieve the sounds. It is pressure sensitive (and that can also be adjusted) but this is designed to be played with hands only or even lightly with sticks or swivel sticks (felt ends).

    Can I load any of my own samples into this ? and how

      Hi. Yes, you can upload sounds via USB and save them in the user banks. One-shots, loops, etc. Just make sure your saved sound is of the appropriate settings. .WAV file with 44.1 kHz and 16 bits. Drag into your USB thumb drive once created, insert into the back of the pad, import the selected sound(s) and then assign to your desired pads.

    How do you set a sound to be continuous thanks

    • @MatthewBauerMusic
      @MatthewBauerMusic  Рік тому

      Are you talking about a built in sound or custom loaded one?
      How long (timing wise) are you looking for in the continuous sound? If it’s an onboard sound, you could edit the parameters to make it decay slowly or something like that. Best best is to just upload your custom sound (such as a pad wave or synth sound?) and then just assign to a individual pad and trigger manually. Does that help?

      @@MatthewBauerMusic Yes thanks I heard a continuous sound on this video so I guess that it was an uploaded one Thanks I thought that maybe the parameters could be set so that this would happen

      Ohhhhh, right! I had completely forgotten. Yes in the E-Scape patch, that continuous sound is a built in sound with the LOOP FUNCTION on. That will do it! I almost forgot about the loop feature because I rarely use it.

    How do you delete a kit ??

    • @MatthewBauerMusic
      @MatthewBauerMusic  Рік тому +1

      Do you mean straight-up delete a programmed kit or delete (change up the instruments)? Or are you specifically referring to deleting a kit within a chain?
