  • This is the 2023 LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (27GR95QE) and it’s the FIRST OLED with 240Hz support. It also has HDMI 2.1, VRR, DisplayPort 1.4 and NVIDIA G-Sync.
Coming in at 27”, could this be the endgame monitor we’ve been waiting for? I’ll get this unboxed and setup before talking about the specs and how it performs on the PS5 as well as for productivity.

UPDATE - YES you can get VRR from the PS5, you just need to set the resoltuion to 4K on the console (which the monitor accepts).

You had me until you found out it was only 1440p. Oled without 4k is a no go for me. Maybe if they make a 4k version I would spend money to get one. I hope they make a 32in size, 27in is way too small.

Great review. I picked up an LG B2 55" during Black Friday and now I'm obsessed with OLED. It's one of those things you don't know what you're missing until you have it. Some people are missing the target market here in the complaints. It is aimed at Competitive PC Players first. There are way more of those who want to get into OLED Market than Consoles Players that want a 32" Oled at 4k 120hz. PC players prioritize PPI, Refresh Rate, and Input Lag. That's what they provided here with what Display Tech is capable of. 4k/240 isn't quite possible yet without compromise, so they are taking highest market share first.

Just pre-ordered one, If they ever release a 32 inch 4k version, I'll definitely pick up one of those as well. I'm using the Cooler Master GP27U and even though it's 4k and everything looks fantastic. There is noticeable blooming and constant flickering because of the dimming. I can get rid of it by turning off the dimming, But then that defeats the purpose of getting the monitor in the first place. The LG may not be 4k, But it seems like it doesn't really matter because the visuals more than make up for it. I'll probably end up returning the Cooler Master and just keeping the LG.
