The idea of Vegito Black fading between SSGSS and SSJR is pretty sick, and I love the direction this story is going. Sure beats the hell out of the base game’s story.
Hitting myself for some audio issues + some other scenes I forgot to include (Vegeta took a Senzu, and emphasis on him taking you know what from Zamasu) but MAN do I love how the video went. So uhh... Appreciate them while you can! I might keep them though for one off raids, just so people can differentiate. > [1:31] If it wasn't obvious enough, as seen in the clips: Goku Black is after attaining Ultra Instinct or some form of godly display. This is shown by his teammates, Beerus and UI Goku, as well as in the raid clips facing the Beerus of this universe. > [1:31] Gogeta is after Zeni because he's poor. This is why they live in a cave lol. Vegeta is after training from these raids, as he is actually quite rich despite living in Destroyed West City. Due to having a lot of comrades, Adult Gohan, DBS Broly, and GT Goku of choice: he is able to bunker down with a lot of allies. Goku Black is also after training and is poor because he's so focused on the grind but not on the "grind." Raids help for quick currency for all of them. > [1:31] Extra fun fact: Goku Black can forget what to wear sometimes and mixes his laundry. This is the official excuse for when Watupboy mixes up his Goku Black colors. > [1:45] This takes place after the A21 Lab Coat Raid, which is why Lab Coat is an ally and explaining stuff here. > [2:28] Tien and the other Raiders have been defeated, as this raid is weirdly mixed where a lot of people say it's easy and others are weirdly having a difficult time (like me) despite Frieza having no mix or even a command grab. His AI is just built different. > [4:40] So in Raids, we often go place to place when fighting. I tried to show some immersion, like in the 21 Raid where Gogeta travelled all over the globe before landing on the Kai's planet. Luckily, a lot of the maps we fight Frieza on take place on namek, but destroyed is also on Round 3... So Vegeta digs through the earth back to the other half of Namek! > [5:10] I plan to increase Goku Black's gradual friendship with Vegeta as both players are actually really good friends IRL lol. Also, they won't really become friends but become complacent with each other. Not even really "warm up." They just know when there are things that are needed to be done. (Live later in the Raid, Save Gogeta for reasons, preserve fusing with Zamasu as that would be permanent and not ideal for the long run.) > [6:35] Pretty sure I was inspired or remember Vegeta knocking someone down in the anime, then knocking them back up before they even reached the ground. Idk if he actually is, maybe in the Manga, but I imagine a Kaioshin like him would learn out of desperation either way, especially in a world full of... the DBFZ roster. Every Goku Black has their Zamasu in this universe! > [13:52] Zamasu healing Black is also the reason why Black performed better in the DF: he got a Zenkai Boost. It is also why Goku Black came here for the raids, hooray! > [15:34] Every Raider's team is only permitted one Raider to go, as everyone needs a team of 3 for safety in this world. The Raid is an exception, as it threatens everyone. People left behind are for defense purposes. If a Raider is knocked / dead, they will be notified via definitely not Xtransceiver watch. > [15:50] Besides not including Ginyu and Nappa, I forgot to include more detail here. It is shown here, Vegeta's shadow lingers on Zamasu a little bit. That is because he took his Potara. Zamasu acknowledges this, as becoming permanent with his mortal counterpart would not be beneficial for the long run, as this is not their original world. Him and Goku Black are reluctant, and they know Vegeta is too, but they are all too prideful to simply strategically run so they decide to fuse THEN run after teaching Frieza a lesson. > [18:26] I screwed up the audio a little, but I really wanted to use the DBZ Kakarot Frieza voice lines specifically at the very end. > [19:11] Vegito was supposed to punch Frieza out before he could enter the portal, but I was too lazy to edit it because I saw the finish line of editing right there lol > [19:26] Gogeta SSJ4 is dead? I'd like to differentiate more between Rose and Blue, and emphasizing how quickly they can swap between them. I wanted to make Rose more offensive, while Blue was more defensive. Not for any good reason, but I noticed that in the past few raids I accidently made Vegeta a defensive support to Gogeta. In the end, I kinda did, but I really think I could have included more brutal Rose moments along with a pink spirit sword. > [Extras] Ginyu and Nappa were supposed to take a more active role but I forgot how to edit that in, not to mention it would have exceeded even the A21 raid in time. Nappa would definitely have more lines with Vegeta, which is what I'm disappointed in that I didn't edit. The plan was for Frieza to hold Gogeta as a bargaining chip, and if they didn't comply, Ginyu would bodyswap. If they couldn't even do that, Nappa would kill-kill him. They would however be hold off by the teams of the raiders, minus Gohan and Broly so they could get Gogeta out of there. Frieza would also have the dragonballs on standby, Burter on speedial (and it would work because everyone in DBFZ is equal in power!) but he would be stopped by UI.
Rewatching this again for fun and I love so much about this. The little bit of Vegeta and Goku Black’s C rank support got a genuine laugh outta me. Nappa’s trauma when seeing Vegeta was hilarious. And Vegito Black was so hype and I never saw it coming. I thought Goku Black and Zamasu were just gonna fuse but then you completely subverted my expectations in the best way.
Feel all of these, as a Fire Emblem fan the support rank sent me, Nappa having PTSD made much more sense than him just being angery like he was in GT, and Vegito Black was probably my favorite part, especially with him being in Blue during gamplay segments and Rosé in the cinematic editing gave the illusion that he was fading between the 2 forms which was so cool.
DUDE, THE EFFORT IN THIS ONE WAS LITERALLY IMMENSE. I really love this series and i cant wait for the next installment. Also, those final super attacks? Super cool.
