Thank you! Yep the summer months are the busiest with tourists. We hear to go during Sept-Oct and there are less crowds. Kids are back in school then too.
My wife is a library geek. The library on the island is one of the coolest libraries anywhere!!

30 yrs ago was thier with family. one of an eight horse set up got its hoof stuck in bicycle wheel, causing the empty wagon and all eight with no driver to take off in a wild panic and flip over at the turn at the end of the street.
Yikes! Hope nobody or any of the horses got injured!

Great video! Never thought about multiple day ticket when we were there. We just went for one day and were so rushed with taking the carriage ride. If we go back we will go for a couple of days so we can really see the Island and relax. Thanks

I was at Mackinac Island in the late 78. They have added a lot for tourists.
A lot more shopping and restaurants. It looked so much larger now!
I remember being turned away from entering the Grand Hotel because we
were wearing jeans. They must of updated that rule. We could see visitors in shorts and jeans
in your video.
Did it seem strange that we did not see one person wearing a mask to be protected from covid.
Did anyone else notice that? I do realize that a lot of the shots were outdoors.

Yes the downtown area of the island is full of restaurants and shops. We saw a sign at the Grand Hotel that mentioned a dressy attire after 6:00pm for the entire hotel. We were there in the afternoon so casual wear was ok.
We saw a few people with masks but not the majority.

I have always had a good time at every tourist trap we’ve been to and next summer we are planning to visit Mackinac Island. Lots of good info gleaned from your video. This was like livin' the dream for sure. That poor horse with the short tail couldn't swat the flys off his side when he got bitten. Probably got the tail chewed off by another horse. There's always one in the herd...

Thank you for another great “trip”! I was there about 4 years ago for a day. I rented a private carriage for the tour. It was so neat because it wasn’t a scripted tour. The driver was a character and I could ask questions along the way. Brought back great memories.

In your promo you mentioned Mama Mia's Pizza. I am 61 and back when I was in high school, my girlfriend and I would skip school and drive up there from Kalamazoo just to eat their pizza, then turn around and drive back home. It was a long day but the pizza is well worth it. At least it was back in 1978. Growing up in MI and spending Summers on the island you bring back a lot of great memories. Great video!!!

Mackinaw is beautiful and if you two are heading South thru Michigan a stop in Frankenmuth for Dinner is nice. And also Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan is a beautiful place.

Just got back home from locking through the Soo Locks and spending the day on the island. Loved having lunch in the fort Tea Room with a view of the Straights.
Beautiful view up there at the tea room. We stopped for the views there also but didn’t sit. Glad you enjoyed it!

Saturday .... YAY!!!!!!! I've waited patiently all week for this night! LOL I'm having a hard time trying to decide on what might have been my favorite part. I loved the whole adventure!! Well ... maybe the butterflies all around. One of my favorite flying creatures are butterflies! The scenery in this adventure is just amazing!! Dinner at Winchester's looks yummy!!! I love fish cooked in just about any way. Actually ... I like seafood all the way around ... except oysters. Can NOT eat those no matter how they are cooked! You guys do look exhausted at the end, but look at the week you now have of memories! AND .... you entertained me as well!! Thanks!!
P.S. I go in for my next immunotherapy infusion on Wednesday. Praying for no additional side effects! Prayers are most certainly welcome ... thanks!!

Just spent 3 days on that island with my Bride. Everything was spectacular! Definitely felt like food and service no matter where we went was the Gold standard!

Brought back memories of last year in St Ignace & Macinac Island. Same CG (Lakeshore) in St Ignace. I also ate at Sea Biscuit but didn't take the carriage tour, just a horse drawn taxi to the Grand for a cocktail and to sit on that beautiful porch looking out over the gardens & the lake. I finally made it to Seaside, OR & it's so good to spend a couple of weeks without moving every day. Off to Canada in a few weeks if I can get a negative Covid test result back on time. Enjoy the video thanks for sharing, Mackinac Island look like would be a pretty cool place to visit. Lots of nice views. The horse carriage ride would probably be pretty cool. Imagine the motel would probably be fairly expensive.
