Awesome Video Captain 🐟🐟🐟 You have a fantastic fishery in your location !! Tight Lines !!
When I cross the Bridge almost everyday. I always look for the off kilter boat. Never know who’s fishing who…😅
Great job. Brian. Hope to see you and your brother in his new boat.
Love watching you pull those tasty tautog up. Fave fish to eat and catch. Great fighters for the size.
Them Tog are good to eat. You already know that. Tight lines
Thanks brother. I grew up blackfishin eastern Long Island. Its interesteng. The best baits for me, were the tiniest china back fiddlers, or huge hermit crabs whole. My best blackfish or "tog" was just over 13 pounds 1995.
They don't get nearly that big down here. I really want to travel up north and catch one of the big ones.

If you ever do it. Columbus Day weekend is the time.
Orient Point- Black Rock charters.
Do a full day. Tog, stripers blues. Maybe some hog 3# sea bass too.
The fishing grounds areliterally 15 minutes from the harbor.
The area is called Plum Gut. It is a deep boulderstrewn area of legendary proportions. It’s not cheap, but what is?
Fun trip to split among buds.
First fish seemed like it wanted to pull you in 😂
They pull...
Awesome video, I’m in the area this week hope get to go fishing a few days 😊 it is surprising the togs are still here. I would have thought they had headed by north by now .
I catch them year round, just not in numbers like that this late in the year.
This guy makes it look easy. Even tying up at the bridge/port wall is an art in and of itself!
Moving bro morehead next month from Vero Beach,Florida and fishing here is fantastic
Crappy weather & Nasty water around Freeport/Surfside has kept the 2 Old Town Salty 120 pdl's on the trailer lately. That storm today was a bad one. So we'll have much more chocolate milk dumping into the Surf & bays soon
I’m spending next week in the area and if I’m 1/4 as successful as you’ve been I’ll be happy
Great stuff
There is some nice trout and sheepshead in that video.
Should try the turning basin too
Never know what's hanging out under that bridge
Another great day.
It's beginning to look a lot like summertime!
@@offkilterfishing thank God!
Stoked!
Cool video. Where did you get that net you use for sea urchins?
Those are some big trout from the look of it. Is that way out there in 30+ ft of water? I'm surprised the gopro gets enough light to see anything.
It's 30+ feet, The pre-edited footage is black. Really have to adjust it to make it visible.
What’s your art of tying off to the bridges on rougher or more busy days?
I try to avoid it on busy days to be honest. Weekdays are best during the off season. Stay away from the middle of the channel where the boats zoom by. Good luck!
@@offkilterfishing Thank you for the response! Tight lines!
Is there anywhere to purchase Mud Crabs that you know of in your area? I live about 1.5 hours away. If not where can I go to harvest some?
Do you know where I can get some Mud Crap?
Whats the regulations for those tautog?
No regs in NC, they don't exist...
is that a weakfish?
Most likely, but could be speckled. Hard to tell with the low light.
