Big thank you for showing this amount of detail! Your video is the only one on UA-cam which actually shows how the camera rotates and adjusts to any angle physically
Thank you for this very professional and informative video, I want to upgrade my current CCTV which is a 4 year old Swann system (not impressed) I think I will now go with the Reolink 4k thanks again👍
Great video. Do you know if you can plug an small av cooling fan into the USB adaptor on back of nvr. I am installing in attic and want to make sure it stays ventilated..
Now that this video is a year and a half old, can you give us an update on reliability of cameras, the hard drive, any software upgrades etc...? Quality of cellphone or tablet app? Any thoughts on back up power supply for outages?
Matt JaxDad that is a great idea. So far no issues. at all. All the cameras are working just like the day I installed them. I'll work on a updated video soon. thanks for the input.
After 1 year now; do you still recommend this product? Any issues / pros and cons etc .... I'm about to buy one this week but leaning towards this product due to your wonderful presentation! Thanks.
G'day, I put in a similer (only 5MP) system and added another 4 cameras. Later I added the 8MP PTZ camera. I now have an unpowered splitter running 4 cameras. everything was easy to install, set up and opperate. Some functions take a while to learn. If the NVR loses power you will need to rename all the cameras. I have not bothered setting up notifications or auto tracking with the PTZ. I have started posting some things to UA-cam if you want to see what the cameras can actually do and how good/bad the footage is. I am now getting the local police chasing my CCTV and they have said the system I have seems better than a lot that they see. I do also turn flood lights on every night so that the cameras work in colour mode. The funniest vidio I have up is a "short" called "Dog piss on cop".
Different cameras have different function, some cameras just are different on the shaping ,some cameras have the flood light, and siren function, we also sale cameras on AMZ
Will this NVR run 16 4K cameras without any glitches? A lot of NVR's can't process all the data and will drop cameras from view. I'm looking for a good NVR to replace mine but it needs to have a lot of processing power and room for two or four hard drives.
Any idea how to connect my system on mobile app using 4G , in stead WiFi ? I have all setup, they work well on home network LAN , and application for phone works great on WiFi only. If i turn off the WiFi , I can’t access cameras any more. Keep failed the connection. Any help please? Do i need to setup something extra on my NVR ? I done all normal setup from fresh installation NVR connect to LAN etc etc.
To me "Plug-N-Play" means that you can; lift the parts up out of the box, connect them together, attach the "HDMI" to a screen, power everything up and it will work. I've viewed many video's and not a one shows this. Can this equipment work in stand alone mode or does it have to be connected to the internet? The installation book is lacking. I would like to see one video that shows this. Shows what to expect. What that flashing red lamp means. Whether or not it can operate in stand alone mode (intranet) OR why you need to attach it to the internet.
Hey Cheryl, You can keep it off the internet if you want to only record and view off of the NVR directly with the HDMI connection. If you want to use the remote features on your cell phone or buy cloud storage you would need to connected it to the internet.
@norrisnet. What's the name of the mouse that u purchased for this system? I recently purchase the same system but every wireless mouse I try to use doesn't work. I also went on reolink support page and was told that this model cannot use a wireless mouse
@@norrisnetllc How could it deviate from 'default' settings? It's a 'dumb' non programable camera - I've yet to know what that reset button is for. Possible if each camera had a mini SD card as well, it may need to reset something to do with the camera's own recording ability to mini SD card??? I love the *Reolink* system, but it is a bit scant on tech help or manuals
@@avflyguy I know when you first plug the camera into the NVR it will setup the camera with a channel and IP. Then if you move it to another port that info seems to stay with the camera.
@@norrisnetllc Thanks. If it is possible, would you mind doing me a huge favor. I would really like to see some raw unrendered footage. Just a 10-second short bright day and dark night shot at max quality. Maybe you could upload them directly to DropBox or Google Drive and send me the link. I know it is a lot to ask, but I really need to see the true quality of the footage these produce because I am thinking of using them for B-roll cameras for a UA-cam fishing channel and am working on. I am thinking of mounting them on my boat to capture different angles. But I need to see original raw footage from them to decide if they will work for me. Also, can you tell me what the power draw is of the cameras and the base DVR station? I can't seem to find this information? Thanks agian. Thanks

Man your video is simple compared to the rest of the talkative ones who don't show anything and just telk and talk because they're on camera. Respect!
Thank you my friend! I like to keep it simple..
This video is excellent!!! Thank you so much!!! I appreciate your thorough and straightforward explanation. This has been tremendously helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to put this video out. Excellent and very helpful
Thanks Tom! That means a great deal to me.

Not sure on that, sorry.
I’m due for an upgrade and thanks to your video I think I will be going for this exact one! Thank you!
Happy to help. I've had this one installed for over a year now and its still going strong!
Thanks for this

@@norrisnetllc thank you Sir and am buying it!!
How would you hit the reset button when it’s inside the gable? And why would you need to reset it?
I've never used it. But I would think you would use it if you were servicing it on the ground (bench testing)
Do you know if there is a maximum length/distance a HDMI cable can be run?
Don't go over 30 feet with a copper HDMI cable. You can buy fiber optic HDMI cables that run longer distances.
Thanks for the video
Thank you!

Thanks for the review, what is the difference between this kit and the one with the bullet cameras? Both Reolink kits are on amazon.

Larry I'm running 10 cameras and so far no issues..
Nicely done Jeff

Can i just unplug the camera at the back of the nvr instead of climbing 20ft up to the soffit and unscrew the camera just to reset it?

I'm not sure I can view it with my cell service anywhere. I wonder if its a setting in the phone.
Does Reolink make a doorbell camera as an add on for this kit? I cannot find one?
They have, but I don't think it's available for purchase just yet.
Yes they make 2 different types. One wifi and the other is POE. Both integrate into the same app.

What about low temperatures? Outdoors camera can hold up to -30C or -22F?
So far so good not sure how cold we got last year but I will keep track.

Can I slide the NVR in my 19” rack?
It doesn't have a rack mount kit but will fit on a 19" rack self.
Hi, So on these cameras, will you have to hit the reset button?
Tony so far I have not had a need to. It gives you a way to reset the camera back to factory settings.

Payments every month?
Nope.. Just your internet connection.
