Paul Sinha's speech, something which was no doubt prepared to some extent, might be one of the greatest things on Taskmaster, period. You usually never see the old, befuddled players on Taskmaster ever do something significant about being the biggest liability, and some even lean into it, but Paul throughout the series furiously stands up and shouts "Even if Taskmaster makes me look like a fool, I'm still valuable and intelligent." His speech during the bird-naming challenge and this solidify that he is one of the best contestants on the show, period.
As a fellow ADHDer, hats off to Rhod for staying still and quiet inside the closet for so long. That's the kind of psychomotor control we can only exhibit when hyperfocused on something--like a bizarre scheme to stalk a sleeping friend.

Ed Gamble not having a second episode of champion of champions to recover and win is just wrong. It took Josh two episodes to win the first Champions and I'm confident Ed would have pulled it out.
Well Josh didn't do bad in episode 1 at all, he was one point behind Katherine and just very consistent overall. In fact, he didn't win a single task in the second episode yet still won the episode and the series. Plus Ed could have won with the live task which was an all-or-nothing if I remember right. Also, the apparent reason for COC II only comprising one episode is due to Richard Herring having testicular cancer

Well, maybe a little pseudoscience if it turns out that part of the footage is contradictory which how a fisheye would show it, but I haven't taken that close a look at the video. Edit: took another look, and fisheye seems likely. There are times when it looks like Earth is curved the wrong way, which is an artifact of the lens. At the height this would have gone to, the curve would have been possible to see, but only just, as I understand it.

I think it's balloon shreds. It's minus 56 degrees Celsius up there, so the material is brittle. The balloon bursts when it's inflated to the max. At ground level it's only partially inflated. Then it puffs up more and more, as the air pressure decreases with rising height. So it's like smashing a window.
Hi taskmaster hugemongous fan from Australia. I feel like because taskmaster is not very famous here if you can can you make the show more accessible here because basically no one has binge and I love the show and would like to share it with my friends and other family members?!

The contestants are always sat in the alphabetical order of their first names. Effectively buy it for the person on your left and Victoria gets it for Alan.
I guess it all depends whether you list your letters from top to bottom or bottom to top. I'm with you, though. I thought it was a bit confusing. If you number the letters of the alphabet, a lower letter would come before. They could have phrased that much better.
They did, and it was unwatchable. Lisa Lampanelli was a screeching nightmare. There was also a German version that never made it to air because every contestant solved every task the same way and it was boring and unfunny. Desiree Burch got to the heart of this during the Pop A Balloon task when she said she could have chosen the obvious solution and completed it quickly, but that's not what the show is about. The show is supposed to be funny and character-driven: in the end, it's not about points or winning.

Alex was the assistant on US version which was weird but understandable. The comedians were not well known to me except Ron Funches; it was horrible. Taskmaster's concept does not go over well with US audience, just a thought. It's probably why we don't have a Bake Off. There's no prize money or TV show deal at the end of the series.

He's really underappreciated, that's for sure. He really won my heart, not even considering the state he was in during filming (injured and ill).
