Holy cow, Wade. Nothing but respect for your skill topping that red oak. The way that thing was bound up, you did a great job predicting how it was going to pop and roll. I'm sure it was just another day in the timber for you but there were some serious pucker moments for us viewers 😯
Sing a little song there Wade 🎵 Ain’t no velcro on me ain’t no velcro on me it might be stuck to some of y’alls butts but it ain’t no velcro on me 🎵. Ya still got the touch there bud.
Cool 😎💪 Could tell it was a steep slope by the difference in height from one side of the stump to the other, best get a move on before the rain !!! At 13:30 you could see the tension in the fibres when you were cutting off the limb, it nearly got you 😬 Have a happy Christmas and New year Wade and family !!
Always seems like loggers cut a piece out of the limb exactly 40" long, lol. When you come through cutting up the tops for firewood, you end up with 2 16" pieces and a short chunk.
IF NOT SURE I can say Ive had chest heaves and hoes to get me ready to jump up and stay airborn long enough to miss any wiggle. Is that like a tree fixing to fall?
Well a 395 weather is Rusty and crusty is still the right Saw for the job. The damn 661 and a 500 would be crapping out before the job was done and you waste more money on that damn orange and white junk and therefore you wouldn't make production 395 is the only way to go in that big stuff
Hey Wade, and thanks for all the videos. I have a question about how you guys deal with all the poison ivy. I live in Ashe County NC, sort of near you, and we have a lot of the stuff. I have been cutting a lot of firewood on my land these last few years, and I am constantly getting poison ivy, no matter how careful I think I am. Does it not bother you guys, or, do you take something for it? I even see you guys cutting in it in the summer with no shirt on sometimes. Any advice from any one on here is appreciated. Thanks!
I get it but if I wash up real well after being in the woods it never irritates me. It's when I don't know it's around and it hits my legs or something and sits there all day when it gets me.
Give exposed areas a good scrub with Dawn detergent. It cuts the oil that causes the rash and washes it away. Be careful with clothes you take off as the oil will remain in cloth until washed in hot water.
@@hedge685 Yes, thanks for that. I do wash well, and do alcohol bath after that. I think it must be remnants in the wash transferring onto my skin. I had heard some people talk of a pill that some loggers take that stops it. I also suppose I need to get some of the special laundry detergent as well. I just can't imagine sawing with no shirt on, and chips from ivy root landing all over me. As it is, I wear long sleeves and jeans all winter, spring and summer when I cut
Ho ho. Wade keep 2 hands on the whopper that's why it has handle. Not being smart-ass but when in hurry boom a big turd happens. I no by fact with saws and knifes. Be safe And have good family chirstmas.
Wade to Test a new Husqvarna 395 XP. You give all, the Trees to let fall in Minute Time, and the Branch cut You too. This Chainsaw have nor to Laugh. You will see what she to hear! By the Video, she not Smoke!!! Merry Christmas and a happy new year, with Greeting from Austria 🇦🇹🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
im 100% sure you know what you are doing but all this chainsawing one handed scare me a bit.. ofc there are situations where you gotta choose if you want to be smashed by a tree or cutting like that but.. yea :) great vid tho. thank you.

Can someone tell me why when I start sharpening my chain with a round file the chain starts to burr right away
Explain
Well I use a 7/32 file on my 3/8 chain and when I start to sharpen the top plate and side plate start to get serrated a jagged edge
@@austind6200 sounds like dirty file. Need to get the.dirt ,oil and.grime off your chain before filing if possible. I have videos of how to Handfile.
13:13 cat like scenes
