As a Norwich supporter I'd have been gutted by the first goal. Very poor. Our third was fair enough. Ball probably out for a corner but we did give it back to you and then it was wasted by Derby so fair enough. Could argue Derby goal was offside as well. A draw would have been a fair result. I thought Derby made it really hard for us with their press. Delighted with the three points and Im sure we'll be on the wrong side of decisions as the season goes on. From a Norwich fan, you guys really did great, but that assistant ref was just horrid , the ball was out of play before 2 of our goals, and there was an offside on one of your goals hahhaha it was baffling
Funny how officials can give retrospective red cards based on opinion for challenges but cannot retrospectively chalk off goals that are blatantly illegitimately scored... things need to change in football because there is a lot of money as well as the longevity of clubs at stake when it comes to relegations and promotions and these decisions are a joke... is it so hard to have a screen at the side of the pitch for the ref to check simple decisions? No need for room full of VAR staff to see that the ball has gone completely out of play.. It's clear officials cannot be trusted to do their jobs. Could have won today and instead get no points by poor decisions
If I were a Derby fan, obviously I'd be raging about such an obvious mistake leading to Norwich's first goal, but chances are we'd have scored from the penalty for handball, seconds before it went out. If you account for two balls going out of play, and a Derby goal from offside, at best the score is 1 - 1, plus a penalty chance for Norwich. Ultimately disappointing for Rams fans, but not the end of the world, and also a fair 3 points for Norwich, given the odds of scoring from a pen. Good luck to Paul Warne and the team for the rest of the season (except the return fixture 😉). I doubt you'll be disappointed if your players put in that kind of shift on a regular basis.
To be fair, they didn't cheat at all, the officials are there for a reason but cannot do their jobs, it's the linesman that have robbed Derby of 3 points or even 1
