I haven't had a blister burst or get infected in years with these with me!
I carry Survival stuff in my purse, I have a little stainless steel tin to cook a little in, or boil water with some coffee packets and cream in it. I also have a little Altoids tin, not the smalls, I made it into a little stove. It has a few ways to make a little fire in it, and it is so compact and cute. I also have a little ear bud type thing with nails screw in hooks, fishing stuff, tweezers, salt in small straws, paper clips, safety pins, needle and thread, etc.. I also have a small flat pink camo case knife, and a small multi tool with pliers and scissors, the pliers can be used to handle the little tin while hot on the mini stove.
Omg that’s amazing! I need to be prepared like you! How did the Altoids tin stove work out? I’m going to have to try that. Thanks for sharing all your survival items and uses. 😊💕
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur Thanks, I made the stove from the tin that when you lay it on it's side the label is on top, and it opens on the side, not the smalls or the regular. So on it's side, I used an awl and tapped holes in the top and a few in the bottom. About the size of a toothpick. Then I punctured 4 larger holes in the top to position the little pot, I use small flat screws to rest in the 4 holes to elevate the thing you cook in. How it works is you put a tiny fire inside, or wetfire, and the flame comes through the holes to cook with. the holes on the bottom are for air draw for the fire, and with the top(side) open you can put little twigs, or small fatwood in to keep the fire going. When you make it, you can use a penny or 2 at the bottom end to make better balance when the lid is open, or wherever you want to make it even. I store the screws, and penny, and some small hunks of fatwood, a tiny trial size perfume vial with dish soap, and one with olive oil, plus a tiny tin with dryer lint mixed with vaseline, a tiny bit of it will take a ferro spark, or tiny spark wheel spark. I also have a tiny piece of rag for cleanup, and a small brass pencil sharpener to make shavings from a stick to burn. On Sunday, just gone, I was telling a group of ladies at my church about your survival tin. We were talking about being prepared and some of them were really interested in it. So I’ve just made a list (a very little list and nothing will be missed 🎶 😁) of what you have in your tin. I have a different one for when I’m out and about with my knitting/crochet? I have superglued some magnetic tape to the inside of the lid for needles and pins which, saves scrabbling around for them in the bottom of the tin. I’m going to put one together for myself and show them at church. When my very accident prone son was small I had a miniature first aid kit in my handbag wherever I went. Unfortunately it was useful! Sometimes I’m surprised that son of mine survived childhood! Maybe you could do a first aid type tin. Once again thank you for your video. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awww how sweet of you to share the info with your church. I’m glad you found my video helpful. You made my day! Hope you are able to build an edc to fit your needs. Thanks for watching 😊💕
Very prepared. Love it. Can I suggest you put the floss in its own little ziplock? I wouldn’t put it in my mouth after it has been in there with loose money and change. The germ factor is wigging me out. Everything else is fantastic! 🎉
I’m so glad you’re here watching my video. EDC stands for every day carry. It’s a bunch of items you carry everyday for daily and emergency use. Have an amazing day! 😊💕
I was once on a cross country trip, and the car broke down the tool box was locked in the trailer and we couldn't find the key. I did pick the lock with a bobby pin!! Saved the day!!😂
You fit so much in that tiny tin! I have a similar sized tin (we don't have Altoids here in the UK, so I used a tin that came with some Pokemon cards in it!) which I just use for a little first aid kit - I have paracetamol, ibuprofen, antihistamines, diarrhoea meds, antacids and plasters in there. I need to add some kind of wipes into it too, and maybe single use antiseptic packets. I'm quite clumsy and have a few chronic illnesses, so I find it comes in handy a lot. The rest of my EDC stuff just lives in my bag - notebook, pencil, hand sanitiser, nail clippers (which can function as scissors in a pinch for things like thread), lip balm and a snack or two. I never considered adding survival stuff like water tablets or fire-starting supplies, but maybe I should - most of my time is spent in cities where I'm unlikely to need anything like that, but it can't hurt to have them for travel.
You sound prepared! I spend a lot of time in the city and suburbs but it never hurts to have survival stuff just in case. Thanks so much for watching take care 😊💕
This is the first time I’ve heard of an EDC kit, but I realise I have one. I’d say mine is split by use and accessibility (e.g. my pocket knife hangs on my keys), but aside from the literal survival things like a saw and water purification tablets I carry most of this. I also have period products and a reusable lint roller. 😊
That’s awesome! You sound prepared! I always have feminine products in my handbags. I need to add a lint roller especially since I have a German shepherd lol. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
I love this! I've just used my Altoid tin to store my cotton handkerchiefs and some hair pins and elastics when I'm out, but I could really fit some more stuff in there
I have one in the glove box of my truck. A few additional items I have: a Band-Aid, a few inches of duct tape wrapped around the pencil stub, a small Carabiner, a folded square of aluminum foil and a safety pin.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I don't carry a survival it but have an emergency one. Since i have sickle cell it has a lot of medical things. I also love to craft so i carry scissors, rulers, pens, papersand all types of crafting tools that i guess can be used as a survival kit. I'll have to get some of the item you shared so i can create my own it. Thanks again.
@@customMadebyACLD glad to hear you’re prepared especially since you have sickle cell. Your craft items can definitely be used for survival in some way. Thanks so much for watching take care 😊💕

I don’t know if you need to justify what you have in here. It’s kind of self explanatory, but I like the things you have packed. I might put the $ 20 bill in a small plastic bag since it could get wet. Thanks for sharing this. Have a blessed day. 😊
a silica packet would be a good idea to have with the pills especially if you're putting prescription meds in, also write the pill and dose on the baggy so EMS knows what it is if you need help. (it's best practice to keep prescription meds in their original containers tho because the container they are packed in is designed for the meds. some meds need that.)
they sell little spools of floss that are really small but with a lot of floss on the spool fyi (think backpack camping store - REI, Sierra, Decathalon, Dick's, Sheel', etc)
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur awesome! also if you end up getting a mirror (used for signaling) get an unbreakable mirror. It can still break but it's design to not shatter if it breaks so it wont be multiple pieces. Hope it works out. your video got me thinking of some light/small items i should add to my emergency kit in my backpacking bag
Be careful about keeping medication outside of its original packaging. This can look bad if you ever and up being searched by police for whatever reason and it’s even illegal in some places. I like to carry the small medication packets that you get from the gas station instead. Love the video!
Question - really enjoyed this, but do you use these items daily if needed, and then replenish when you get home, or is this an emergency kit in the bottom of your purse and you also carry things like dental floss in your bag to use without having to open the emergency kit?
Great question! I use these items as needed and replenish when I get home. I also have a catch all pouch that has hygiene products and makeup items. So I’ll reach into the catch all first before opening my edc. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
I don’t carry an everyday carry kit unless I'm traveling, but thankfully I've never had to use it on my daily activities. Not even the glass opener bottle ( for the occasional glass coca cola drink) But I still love watching these kinds of videos. I'm wondering if you have any instances where you have needed to use this knowledge, whether as a lifesaver or just during a random day.
I have responded to multiple emergency situations where I needed some edc items and my car edc items. Other than that most used items in this kit would be first aid kit, meds, hair tie, tweezers, scissors, Gerber, flashlight and nail cutter. Thanks for watching 😊💕
I have a little edc kit in my wallet. A hairtie, victorinox Rambler swiss Army knife, sowing kit, 1 meter of multi strand cord, emergency earrings , paperclips and medication. All alongside all of my cards, cash and lucky coin.
That’s awesome! Glad you can fit all that in your wallet. Wonder if I can fit an edc kit in my wallet 🤔 I usually just have a first aid kit in my wallet. Thanks for watching 😊💕
DO NOT ADD PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION! If you get arrested/detained you can get into trouble for not having a prescription medication in its original container
Isn't it more important to have the medication with you in case you forget a dose or get delayed somewhere vs the rare possibility of detainment/arrest? When I think about it, all the possible scenarios that benefit seem to overshadow the risks of possible trouble.
Good question I haven’t weighed it, but it’s lightweight. I don’t bring this Altoids tin through the airport. I have a specific one for the airplane. I have a video on it 😊💕 thanks for watching!
Seems kind of difficult to have to empty out so many things to get to something in the bottom. I carry almost all of these things in my purse, so I guess my purse is a large EDC kit.
Yeah it can be. This is just an idea for those that want a small edc. Sounds like you’re prepared since you have all these items in your purse! Good on ya! Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Not being rude but I don't really get why people in these videos need to explain every basic item, like we don't know what a pencil is for? or tweezers? Anyway some good ideas! I don't know how you managed to fit all that in!
I came looking for this comment! Have heard quite a few security/cyber security folks talking about this very thing. Like when folks post pics on socials after just buying a house and they hold up their key. It’s sad we have to think about that kind of thing, but we do.
The timing of this video is amazing! I am planning on buying altoids when i go grocery shopping. We need mints in the church bag. My thought was to make an edc out of the tin. You gave me somexgreatcideas. And you reminded me to put a $20 bill back in my wallet. I always keep one in a card slot. ❤

This is not for flight I have an airplane edc video. This one is for day to day. Thanks for watching
I love the tiny pencil nub haha
lol isn’t it the cutest thing 😂 Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
This is the first time I’ve heard of an EDC kit, but I realise I have one. I’d say mine is split by use and accessibility (e.g. my pocket knife hangs on my keys), but aside from the literal survival things like a saw and water purification tablets I carry most of this. I also have period products and a reusable lint roller. 😊
That’s awesome! You sound prepared! I always have feminine products in my handbags. I need to add a lint roller especially since I have a German shepherd lol. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
I love this! I've just used my Altoid tin to store my cotton handkerchiefs and some hair pins and elastics when I'm out, but I could really fit some more stuff in there
Yes add more! Love that you already use your Altoids tin for handkerchiefs and hair pins. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
I have one in the glove box of my truck. A few additional items I have: a Band-Aid, a few inches of duct tape wrapped around the pencil stub, a small Carabiner, a folded square of aluminum foil and a safety pin.
Great idea to keep it in your glove box! Thanks for watching 😊
That's a great kit! The only thing I would add is a striking surface for the match. I can't think of what they are called.
Thanks! I added a striking surface to the bottom of the tin after someone mentioned it lol thanks so much for watching! 😊💕
You have several things that are useful when needed.
Yes they are very handy. Thanks for watching 😊💕
oh i need to look into making one of these. thank you for sharing!
Yes! It’s good to have in your bag just in case. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur I learned the hard way that I needed to be prepared for my disease. And now that I have a son, I'm even more prepared. He doesn't have sickle cell but he's a kid. My friends always joke by saying 'Ask Aissa. She probably has it or something similar in her bag. Lol 😂😂😂
I don’t know if you need to justify what you have in here. It’s kind of self explanatory, but I like the things you have packed. I might put the $ 20 bill in a small plastic bag since it could get wet. Thanks for sharing this. Have a blessed day. 😊
That’s a great idea. Thanks for watching! 😊💕
a silica packet would be a good idea to have with the pills especially if you're putting prescription meds in, also write the pill and dose on the baggy so EMS knows what it is if you need help. (it's best practice to keep prescription meds in their original containers tho because the container they are packed in is designed for the meds. some meds need that.)
Great ideas. Thanks for your input. I appreciate you watching 😊💕
Hey! Thanks for the great info. Do you have a link for the mini zip lock bags please?
Hi there! The mini bags are linked in the description it’s labeled “plastic med baggies”. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
I love seeing a woman's EDC. It feels more accessible to this momma.
Ya so happy to hear. Thanks for watching 😊💕
Very nicely done! A lot of great ideas here.
@@SurvivingtheDaily thank you so much for watching 😊💕
they sell little spools of floss that are really small but with a lot of floss on the spool fyi (think backpack camping store - REI, Sierra, Decathalon, Dick's, Sheel', etc)
Oh really ok I’ll check it out when I go to REI this weekend. Thanks for the info! 😊
How cute! And vintage
Thank you 😊 💕
Be careful about keeping medication outside of its original packaging. This can look bad if you ever and up being searched by police for whatever reason and it’s even illegal in some places. I like to carry the small medication packets that you get from the gas station instead. Love the video!
@@darstar217 thanks for the info! Didn’t know it was illegal in some places. I appreciate you for watching 😊💕
I should really assemble something like this to keep in my car.
Yes it’s Bette to be prepared. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
What is edc?
It stands for everyday carry 😊 thanks for watching!
I’m definitely going to try this out 🙌🏽✨
Yay! Happy building. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Not even the glass opener bottle ( for the occasional glass coca cola drink)
But I still love watching these kinds of videos.
Nice! You should replace your tweezers with an Uncle Bill's Sliver Gripper - they are awesome and will look SO CUTE with your nail clippers :)
I’ll have to check those out. Thanks for the suggestion 😊💕
These perilous times I keep a bug out bag in my car.
I have a bug out bag in my car too! What do you have in yours? Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Emergency earrings 😂😂❤
I love the pencil.
It’s so cute and useful! Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Super Great Idea! Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
As you were pulling out that candle, I thought “cool, she included a joint”. 😂😂
Hey you know what that would fit in here 😂 thanks so much for watching and for the laugh lol 💕
Great contents and idea. Just have to remove some items to fly. 😊
Yes definitely not TSA friendly lol thank you so much watching! 😊💕
I'm a little concerned with how many different types of sharp objects you feel necessary to have with you at all times. 😄
LOL 😂 better to be prepared. Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Looks great! I would add a mini super glue from the dollar store. 😊
Great idea, I'll have to add that! So many uses for super glue. Thanks for watching 😊💕
I love to also carry earplugs! I don’t like noise :”)
Great idea! Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Interesting!🎉 How was your trip?
It was amazing! I want to go back lol The UK is magical I loved every minute. Thanks for asking. I appreciate you watching 😊💕
@blueskymoments I agree with you 😊
@nerdbookworm Thanks for your input
The best i have seen
Wow thank you so much! I appreciate you 😊💕
This is brilliant.
Thank you so much for watching 😊💕
How do you light the match?
You know recently I added a striker to the bottom of the Altoids tin since I didn’t think of how to light it lol 😂 thanks for watching
Something I always keep in my car kit are a couple of zip ties.
That’s a great idea! So many ways to use zip ties 😊
How much does your kit weigh?
And how does it feel work when you’re going through an airport (can you bring it through security)?
Good question I haven’t weighed it, but it’s lightweight. I don’t bring this Altoids tin through the airport. I have a specific one for the airplane. I have a video on it 😊💕 thanks for watching!
This is a fab idea - copying immediately! 😂
Thanks! You’ll love having an Altoids edc. I appreciate you for watching 😊💕
Amazing!!
Thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Cool items ❤
Thank you! I appreciate you for watching 😊💕
I've stumbled into an amazing world..
Ahhhhh yes welcome lol 😊💕
McGiber wasn’t as prepared😂.
lol 😂
Not being rude but I don't really get why people in these videos need to explain every basic item, like we don't know what a pencil is for? or tweezers? Anyway some good ideas! I don't know how you managed to fit all that in!
lol I just want to make sure people know what I use it for 😂 Thanks for watching 💕

@@damsel72 so true lol thanks so much for watching 😊💕
Someone could copy your key based on this video. You may want to change your locks…
Really? Wow thanks for the heads up. Good thing this one is an old house key. Thanks for watching 😊
I came looking for this comment! Have heard quite a few security/cyber security folks talking about this very thing. Like when folks post pics on socials after just buying a house and they hold up their key. It’s sad we have to think about that kind of thing, but we do.
EDC?
EveryDay Carry
It means everyday carry 😊
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur oh! Thanks!
That’s great! You should definitely create an Altoids edc to keep in the bag. I hope you put that $20 bill back in your wallet lol. Thanks for watching Lisa 😊💕
You have a match, but no striker! How r u going to start a fire? It's not a "strike anywhere" match, so yeah.
Good catch I’ll add a striker to the bottom of my tin
Would the file on your nail clippers work?
I wouldn't advice to have a house key in your purse, what if your purse gets stolen?
Where do you carry your keys if not in your purse? I’m curious.
Interesting where do you keep your keys I’m curious too. Safety first always so I’d love to hear your advice thank you for watching 😊💕
@@Summermute7 in my pockets. Money, cards and keys are in my pockets. Everything else goes in the purse/backpack
@@SaraHinata, lots of my outfits are sadly pocketless or have pockets that are too shallow to be useful. If the pockets don’t zip shut, I worry my stuff would be less safe than it is in my purse. Girl problems, right? 😂
Might be a bit smarter to put your 20 at the bottom of the tin so you need something from it your not flashing you cash
Thanks so much for watching 😊
Do you live in an urban jungle? Why would you need to carry all that stuff around with you every day?
Lmfao 🤣 just to be ready for anything lol Lots of people carry EDCs like this. Look it up on UA-cam.
I have heard enough tales from my friends working in construction - on their way to or from a job site, they ran into some trouble/emergency and were glad to have supplies on hand. Water, granola bars, one of those reflective blankets while waiting for the tow truck in winter. Stuff like that. Which reminds me, I think that granola bar in my bag needs to be exchanged... 😉
@@thekingsdaughter4233 The reflective blankets make a great stocking stuffer, or a tuck in gift for a camper or hiker.
I’m surprised you have that toothpicker/floss exposed like that. It’d be more hygenic to bag wrap it up as this is something you’ll be using in your mouth.
lol doesn’t bother me much. But if it did I would def wrap it. Thanks for watching 😊
You forgot the kitchen sink!
Oh darn you’re right lol 😂 thanks so much for watching 💕
A razor blade, a knife, and scissors? That’s a bit redundant
I’m always overly prepared. You can definitely pare down with your own edc. Thanks for watching 😊
Don’t show keys on video!!! People can reproduce them - stay safe xx
Thanks for your concern I appreciate it. Good thing that’s an old key 😊 thanks for watching!
dont post pictures or videos of any house/car/etc keys, there are creepy people out there who can make replicas just from an image
Yes thank you for the heads up. I’m glad I used an old key in this video 😊 Thanks for watching 💕
i dont mean to be a hater, but this seems wildly impractical. if youre in a pinch, you dont have time to take all those jawns out to get to the specific item you need. still, better to have it than to not have it! God Bless!
lol nah you’re not a hater. If I were in a pinch and I needed something out of here I would just dump everything out lol. Like you said it’s better to have them than not. Thanks for watching 😊💕
