In the video I mentioned a bee sting. Do not use tweezers to remove the stinger. Scrape it with a credit card. Use the tweezers for things like a splinter, plucking your eyebrows etc.

Great video! I always relate to women’s EDC videos more. Some of the men out there think two band-aids is enough first aid but need to carry 6 different types of pocket knives at all times!
I've been doing all these kits as well scince about 1979! I started when I was young and I've helped lots of people. I don't even know their names. From my friends to coaches and teachers at my school. 😊Lol. Keep up the great videos. This was great info. ❤
Thank you so much! I love the idea of being prepared for just about anything! It’s a beautiful way to take care of our family and loved ones. I would love to see an edc car. Thanks! 🤗
My father is an army veteran. When I went to college for my biology degree and we had field trips, I was better prepared than my professor because of my father 😂 One of my classmates was unaware that she was allergic to a plant. She got a really bad rash that could have gotten worse if I hadn't been carrying benadryl allergy spray. I also kinda saved another girl's underwear because I made the habit of carrying around at least three menstrual pads with me even when I don't need them. You never know. After that, everyone would come to me if anything happened. I don't have a dedicated EDC bag, but I do carry around wet wipes, a small first aid kit, toilet seat covers, those little travel bottles of sunscreen and insect repelent, a glasses repair kit since I wear glasses and it's not the first time one of the screws have gotten lose, toothpicks with floss, and gum in my purse whenever I go out. I forgot to add that I also carry electrolytes and plain sugar packets (this recommended to me by my sister who is a nurse) I have old empty pencil cases with zippers. Maybe I can use those to make a dedicated EDC kit to include in my bug out bag.
Wow that’s awesome! You sound so prepared and I’m sure the people you’ve helped were grateful for your edc kit. Thank you to your Dad for his service. I come from a military family as well so the preparedness comes with the territory lol. Thanks for sharing your story I need to add insect repellent to mine. Take care 😊💕
The Edc that myself and others have used the absolute most are foldable bags and handkerchiefs. Also a little spoon or fork for the times I just want a yogurt or fruit pot from the store instead of sitting in at cafes
The folding scissors can be purchased anywhere notions are sold, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michael's l,etc just look in the area where embroidery threads are sold, sometimes they are with the crochet hooks and knitting needles.
I keep most of these things but also have a small tube of super glue and a zipper repair pull,oh and a travel size multi head screwdriver.😊 Always prepared😊
I have an EDC and I didn't even know it. One thing you may get add....is anti nausea meds. Wintergreen Lifesavers are a Godsend for me. Plus a small stash of your own meds in case you leave them home. My grandma always had a bag in her car. I must have gotten it from her...lol
I carry a lot of the same items, and now I basically only ever wear a backpack because otherwise, my bags get heavy 😅 I wear glasses so I carry a microfiber cloth or two. Also individual saline tubes (great to get stuff out of your eyes), a small hand mirror, different wipes, a bag hook is helpful too. And random stuff, like a cute small box cutter, safety pins, tiny soap sheets, clips, tooth picks with floss, a small phone stand, cable ties, ziplock ties, little plastic bags (like trashcan liners - but I might consider the doggy bags now!).
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur thank you! I've been gradually carrying more items over the years due to situations I found myself in, or that I wished I had so I could help others. And indeed they've all come in handy. Imagine my thrill when I found EDC videos on UA-cam. I felt so validated! :)
Loved this video. I have been carrying a kit like this around for quite some time and it has come in handy so many times!! Would love to see a car edc video!
That's a great selection. Two things I carry that I didn't see, that I've used, are a single use saline based eye wash and some mild diarrhoea relief meds
First time watching your channel and really enjoyed it. A lot of times I don’t know what to pack in my EDC and you’ve given me lots of ideas. Jumping into your channel to see what other goodies you have available 😂
If you wear glasses those tiny glasses repair kits are helpful...they have extra screws and nose pads as well as a tiny screwdriver. Also prepackaged lens wipes and/or a microfiber cleaning cloth are helpful. Just a note to anyone who carries extra medication or OTC medications, don't leave them in your car. Extremes in heat or cold will destroy them.
Ahhh yes lens wipes. I ran out and reordered some. Great idea about the glasses repair kit, going to order that now lol. I’ve left Tylenol in my car edc and keep it out of sunlight, but thanks for the heads up! 😊💕
I can so relate to this. I have all kinds of pouches and drawstring bag to keep my EDC. Mostly now I keep my anti allergy and gastric medicine, also facemask and body lotion/ mosquito repellent. I love those single pack hand sanitiser, I don’t know if it’s available in my place, I must look that up.
I found some tiny tiger balm tins. Since balm works on the same principle as TENS, those are great for emergency pain relieving. They're hard, maybe impossible to find in my country, so I've bought them when I've found them in Thailand.
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur There's one size of the original tiger balm. I've heard fight gyms sometimes stock these. Most of mine are of a different brand that's local to Thailand. I think it's called golden cup. Those are sometimes stocked at pharmacies, while the oroginal tiger balm tin I found at one particular 7 Eleven last time.
@@TheHandbagConnoisseur BTW, one reason balms are so readily available in Thailand is because they can be used on mosquito bites. Some are even green, with drawing of a mosquito on the lid.
I have most of this in my work bag which is a large laptop backpak, so not exactly light 😅 I'm going to see about making a smaller version. Other items I've got in my bag is paracord, a small baggy with my bloodtype, info on my doctor, etc, extra cloth facemasks, Swiss army knife, emergency hot/cold blanket (one of those foil ones), a 3-way USB charge cable with different size USB plugs, spare keys, a travel razor and an extension cord. Most of that won't fit into a purse 😆
