I am in actual shock that you don't have to blow dry your bangs! I've had a 70s fringe for about a year now and I've spent more time on my hair in the last year than I have in my entire life. This gives me hope that some day my bangs will behave themselves.

I use some mouse or something for the frizz but having lived in Hamburg Germany and San Fransisco California ... the humidity is inevitable so I let the bangs do their own thing! The only problem was I tried to trim them myself and CHOPPED off one of my framing pieces 😭 so .... there go my 70’s bangs 🤦🏽♀️

Random small UA-cam recommendations ftw. I've always vibed more with '40s-50s vintage, but I've also wanted a better look into '60s and '70s styles - particularly '60s - and you're really one of the only ones who pull it off well. Not enough UA-camrs on this "vintage" bandwagon really know what look they're going for and it ends up being a caricature. I love your honest style. Sub :) Also, the closest I've ever gotten to my hair evoking my parents' younger years was either in high school, trying to grow out an awkward shag, or just last year with my dead-long, wavy, middle part hair reaching my abdomen lol. I still wish I can pull off a Stevie or Joan Jett cut, bangs and all, but I think my face is too round xD
My step dad was a limousine driver and he slept with Stevie in the 80s. He has so many pictures of her it’s amazing. Edit: I just realized how that sounded. Lol like nice pictures with clothes on and a few signed ones lol

Glad to know it becomes more manageable over time! I recently retrimmed my bangs! My hair is CURLY , proper ringlets and frizz curly! But I got bangs anyway and when I first got them cut they were PERFECT! Such gorgeous 70’s style bangs which I made work with my curls~ And I’m so low maintenance , I wake up at 6 am because I (used to... but will again) work at a middle school that started at 8 am! So as little work as can go into my hair , the better 😅 And then I tried to trim them myself recently when they grew out and chopped off the framing pieces on the left side 😬 so .... I love your videos about fashion and hair! And once my bangs grow out again ... I know what to do! (and not do ... like trimming bangs at 8 am with craft scissors before a date ...)

Well last year i went cutting my bangs, I have wavy hair and when the bangs were not ironed were horrible. I looked like a cracked Bruce Dickinson. Now my bangs grew out and I look like a cracked Cliff Burton. Cheers.

We have very similar hair, and it’s true it’s always best to not blow dry. Us English call bangs a fringe, for ages I wondered what bangs were. I’ve just noticed the Beatles playing in the back ground lol. Great times the 60’s 💙💙
