- Classic Coke commercial from the 1950s. Hank was was a character actor and appeared in hundreds of tv shows and movies. But is probably best remembered as Fred Ziffel on the Green Acres television show. the host for the Adventures of Kit Carson television show that stars Bill Williams and Don Diamond. A bit of trivia. Bill Williams, the star of "Kit Carson," married Barbara Hale, Della Street on "Perry Mason." Their son is William Katt, who was in "Carrie" and the TV series, "The Greatest American Hero."
Those old Hollywood film character actors like Hank Patterson really added something special to the movies and television of the day. One reason I am a huge fan of movies & tv from days gone by and not so much for the current modern era movies ot tv shows.

There was a gas station in our neighborhood that had one of them Coca-Cola machines they had it so cold it was Frosty and it would burn your throat was so cold and we buy peanuts and we would eat peanuts and drink Coca-Cola what a wonderful memory thank you
"THE ADVENTURES OF KIT CARSON" (1951-'55) was sponsored in first-run syndication by Coca-Cola. Hank Patterson appeared as "Sierra Jack" to introduce each episode- and slip in a plug for Coke.

I was born in the wrong century, I want to live in the 1880s so bad! Greatest time in American history in my opinion!
no air conditioning. simplest infection kills you. Can you imagine getting teeth pulled back then? and everybody stinks cause no bathing till spring! Warm beer. And there was no movie star like women in the old west. You spend all day foraging for wood and squirrels for the next day. You can have it.

Fred Ziffle was my favorite character on Green Acres.....a show with many great characters.... Hank hiding product in his hand...and not showing it to viewers whole commercial! LOL
