🚨 Hi friends - Turns out I completely missed the parts in Tomorrow, and Tommorow, and Tomorrow, where the author talks about Israel in a positive light and as you all know, I am deeply pro-Palestine and believe in freeing Palestine and do not want to tolerate any Zionist bullshit, so please be aware I will no longer be recommending that book. I apologize to anyone I've hurt by recommending it before this-I sincerely hadn't realized. And if you think I'm being extreme by refusing to recommend that book any longer-I think you should remember that genocide is extreme and yet we're letting it happen by allowing the settler colony of Israel exist in the first place.
This is insane. You'll stop recommending a book you loved because Israel was mentioned?! Feel free to criticize the Israeli government, they deserve it, but criticism against the country purely because it is Israel is antisemitism.
I really appreciate your thoughtful about Palestine. Very very thank you for your supporting Palestine. Definitely you are the best booktuber ever and will my top favorite. ❤
I didn't know you're bipolar. That's really cool you mentioned it. I'm autistic, so seeing other neurodivergent people out there doing stuff makes me really happy.
Did you read The broken earth trilogy by NK Jemisin? Cause I have yet to read The city we became, but thst trilogy I found really incredible. And I would be really curious to see if you like it as much. Kaikeyi and Babel are also very high up there for me and I read them both thanks to your reccs, so thank you for that
I read DISORIENTATION and WHAT MY BONES KNOW because of you! They are excellent! I also loved IN THE DREAM HOUSE. I’ve never read NINTH HOUSE. I guess I need to. Jennifer Morrison (the actress from House and Once Upon A Time) has a book club and her November pick this month is DISORIENTATION! Love it!
I always find it funny that Booktube loves Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, but our book club read it, and the highest rating anyone gave it was 2 stars xD I'm glad it worked for you though
I really enjoyed Beach Read, Book Lovers, Born a Crime, Mexican Gothic, Babel, People We Meet on Vacation, and Yellowface. All My Rage and You Can't Be Serious are on my TBR list.
My friend request is pending on Goodreads but I did try to check there first haha but did you read "A Little Life"? I'm currently reading it and am so curious what you thought about it if so!
If you liked the Poppy War and Kaikeyi, I’d highly highly highly recommend the Radiant Emperor Duology by Shelley Parker-Chan if you haven’t read it yet! I can NOT stop raving about those books (edit: 🗣️ AMENDMENT I’m also recommending The Spear Cuts Through Water, especially if you loved Kaikeyi!!!)
Seven of your books are also some of my favorite books of all time, but especially the stationery shop by Marjan Kamali, all my rage, before i let go, and babel. So many of these are also on my high priority TBR! Also I finished haldol and hyacinths thanks to your rec and i LOVED it 🎉
the author of tomorrow x3 is a z**nist btw.... if you did not know...... could not finish that book because of the CONSTANT mentions of i**ael (not trying to be rude btw)
UGH. it's been awhile since I read the book and I honestly tend to miss details like that. Thank you for letting me know! 🙏🏾I've cut out the recommendation part about that book from the video if anyone is viewing this later on!
I am so thankful for all the bipolar memoirs since I was diagnosed about 6 months ago also with bipolar 2 I’m trying to learn and understand it more so thank you! 🩵

Yuck.
Would love to see a book unhaul of pro-Israeli authors

@@maika0395 and she deleted my comment, because I called her a racist and a potential candidate for Hamas 😂😂😂😂😂

I’m just here hoping you get crazy and demote the bottom tier to 4 stars! Muahahahahaha lol
I've been looking for memoirs about bipolar after my diagnosis as well! Glad to hear you found some good ones :)
Gahhh I’ve been meaning to read the poppy war for so long now 🥲
I just love you and your channel, I'm so grateful for your content!

Yea, Yolk is my least favorite among Mary H.K Choi's books.
You are such a stunning human being (;
Cleopatra and Frankenstein and Yellowface are my top 2 books I read this year, so a great choice.
