I'm fed up with repair shops that change the battery without doing a little bit of an analysis, and on top of that they don't admit the problem wasn't the battery and refuse to give the money back. As a professional you must either know enough to diagnose or admit you don't know

I literally have 4 phones sitting down on a drawer because i don't know how to repair them, nor do i have the tools, nor do i know who knows board-level repairs
A little miffed I missed this live. Nothing would make me happier than watching exemplary unauthorized repair at my authorized repair job (which I love, but.... I constantly feel hamstrung with what I can and can't do, lest I enrage the almighty fruit deity). Doesn't mean I'm not teaching myself board repair on the sly, to muck around on stuff at home.
Thank you for how thorough you were not only the repair but also why to do the repair. I hope to be able to do device repair and data recovery sometime in the future.

Easy fix. Sometimes is capacitor,IC chip, shortly,Pmic, CPU,or more. But easy to fix. I take Master Class I learn all the problems.

Hey Jessa and Everyone!
I just have a really similar case, no power, no charging at all. First I saw Q3200 stands a little funky so I gave it a little nudge while heating, and here you go phone boots up. I was charging for like 10 minutes when I realized it turned off and no more juice going in. I was suspecting PP_1v8 S2 as well but no short on that line, tried both mosfets, I even replaced hydra but absolutely no power goes in. It is similar to this case because on PSU, power is like: 0.09Amps, zero.
Any idea what am I missing here?

Jessa, could a board be repaired, which received around 10V on the battery connector? Did you have a case like that?
It depends on what was originally wrong with it. You’d have to replace most chips on vccmain just to get back to square one
