I’m getting a few comments saying the mic didn’t sound good. This was plugged and played as stated in the video, I didn’t adjust anything. You can adjust the mic sound so much as seen in video.
It seems like you got significantly better microphone results than the first reviewer I watched (Hardware Canucks), which is interesting. It's hard to tell but they trashed the mic quality and theirs was crackling, peaking, fuzzy, compressed where yours seems to be a good bit better. I don't know why this is the case.
liquidmetal9015 I was thinking the same thing. I also watched their vid. Again I didn’t adjust a single thing as shown in the vid, not sure if they did.
Yup can confirm. Stock sound presets on mic sounds horrible. But the software has some nice options. Personally I will not have issue with the mic, since im not going to use that part anyway if I where to pick this headset up. since I use a streamer mic anyway.
For those hating on the microphone, it's due to the Expander/Gate settings which were enabled, this works like sensitivity. Depending on what the dB is set to it will filter out noise below that. The problem is, the range of your voice is variable, so it ends up sounding choppy. The microphone is by no means terrible, it just takes a little configuring.
Your EQ Settings saved this headset for me. I was surprised by it's muddy sound when I installed them a little bit ago. Much, much better and more balanced sound now with a little bit of bass-y punch. Perfect. Thanks!
i personally use this just for the drivers and sound quality, feel great around the ears, i have a blue yeti standing mic i use as my default mic so having this with a detachable mic, excellent sound quality...its a steal...i currently owned the wired version for $130 and i gotta say i love the ability of not being tethered in my gaming station....huge game changer especially if u have a dolby atmos license
You know what? I re-subbed after this review. FINALLY A GOOD REVIEW on this headset. I had forgotten how underrated you are and I am here to support what you are doing.
I like a lot your videos, you mention every single important point on the reviews, you really help at the time to choose peripherals. Keep doing an amazing job.
Im so happy i ordered these, coming in two weeks where i live but cannot wait to test these beasts. Excited to see if these can compete with Astro a50 gen 3.
By far the clearest mic I've used. I've had the Arcits 7 plus, HyperX Cloud 2 wireless, and HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless and the Logitech mic quality kills em all.
I got the wired version!! Great review Technie!💯 For anyone thinking the mic on this is kind of average it's not. Technie was using some sub par mic presets. I recommend using the Broadcaster 1 or 2 and tweak it a little bit. You will sound amazing! I even stream with this thing and the quality is superb 🔥
@@TheTechne yes of course. The G Hub software is actually very very prowerful and easy to understand. I'm sure people will get the best out of the mic eventually.
@@greymack Yes I have. Dimitry is actually using wrong configs as well. I know because I made 7 samples after watching him use it in various videos and found out that he was using too much compresion. That is why you can hear a very nausiating sound signature from the mic. If you take ome of the broadcaster presets and adjust the 3 band EQ plus play around with the compressor and noise gate, you can get quite the clear sound from it.
Hey Techne, big fan of the energy on your videos!! I know you're a huge fan of arctis 7 but I'm wondering what do you prefer, these logitech or the 7s. I'm looking for a wireless headset with nice possitional gaming audio.
@The Techne, I believe you might be able to save the profile to the headphones on board memory. Got a few G PRO devices and it is possible in all of them. You need to click the setting button when the headphone is selected, then, it is a bit tricky to get the right click to save the profile to on board memory.

That a BALLER out headset, the sound the look everything was just amazing. You did a GREAT job with the details on everything from the fingerprints touches, the buttons close ups, the equalizer
Just got these. My head is a bit bigger than average. On the max length, it's still a little bit snug. The black shark v2 has more than enough room and stretch. The clamp force is just a bit more than I'd like. Razer black shark v2 has less of a clamp and weighs less. Just FYI. Still going to try it out and see how it goes.
Nice and in depth, thanks for the video. I was kinda hoping you would put the headset around your neck as that's what i usually do a lot and my collarbones don't like headsets without swivels
Hey Tech! Any chance you could do us a HUGE favor and go back into the program for the headset and tell us what numbers are under the bars now in the EQ? They changed it so now you can tell exactly how high or low each bar is set. That'd help SO much. Thank you!
Do they have to be wireless? If so then I’d look around for whichever was on sale at the time or maybe and open box. I like to look at Amazon or eBay I always save 35 to 50% on my stuff doing it that way.
Jay Laforge at the moment yeah, before this im using G933 but one of the patch brick my bluetooth dongle. Currently using G633, and plan to switch wireless back.
This headset went under my radar and just found out about it about a couple months after I bought my Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless. How does this compare to the Arctis Pro Wireless?

Have you heard about the volume issue? Had them at max and couldn’t pin point anything sadly. Awesome reviews by the way! Just had to come back to this one to drop a comment and get your thoughts!

These look very similar to the Corsair Virtuosos. I personally feel like the $200 price point is a little much that’s moving them into the territory of some really high quality audio sets like the Sennheiser HD 6XX from massdrop. Personally I’ve switched almost exclusively to the Sennheiser Momentum wireless headset as my all a rounders. Please do a video showing eq settings because your last Logitech eq settings were great but now with the wireless you have more options in the eq settings
Hi technie its me again. I currently have steelseries arctis 5 (the first edition) and i must say that i am not quite satisfied with it. So i hope that you could recommend me some headphones that i could upgrade too. 1 i dont need a mic in my headset as i have a separate one :) 2 i would like to hear footsteps clearly in games like valorant, battlefield, cod etc. 3 and lastly i would love to hear the games environment. You know, bombs being nuked a mile away, where I got shot from, and basically give me a feeling that I am in the game. :) As always an amazing video the stinking positive vibe much love ❤
Whats confusing is other reviews compared the mic on this one and said it was horrid? I am trying to replace my G933 where the mic just stopped working, cut out and was unreliable for last few months then suddenly stopped working altogether. So now im confused and unsure again, after seeing your video though sounds awesome. Guess ill go pick it up and see what happeneds. ONe complaint I did have about G933 was how big and heavy it was. So im hoping these are more comfortable and less bulky.
Hey Techne! I don't know if you'll ever see this or not but I trust your reviews very much and would like a recommendation! Would you rather pick the SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless or this set of headphones? I'm stuck between these two for my PS4 and wondering what you think! Thank you always! Keep up the hard work!!!
Looking to upgrade to a wireless headset. Looking at these. Atlas aero. And cloud flight s. All reviewed by you. Watched each video. Wondering which would you choose? Strictly for PC gaming. Have speakers for listening or watching. So this will be strictly for PC gaming
I bought the Logitech G Pro X Wireless alongside the Corsair HS80 Wireless and I have to say I'm a huge Logitech fan but the volume issue on the G Pro X is insane. I tried everything I could find to fix it but compared to the HS80 the G Pro X has a max volume 50% lower than the HS80. I'm really disappointed.
Thanks for the review Techne! Liked and subbed! Hoping you or someone on here can help me though. TLDR version: 1. Is the wired version sound quality better at all than the wireless? 2. Is there any difference in g hub software for the wired and wireless, because I am currently struggling to download and enable custom user eq profiles. Bought these puppies yesterday because needed something that uses it's own soundcard, not necessarily because they're wireless (added perk there). My onboard soundcard is faulty or something because when i plug something directly into the 3.5mm it sounds like trash (did everything i could with drivers etc). So, my question is, how does the wireless g pro x compare with the wired in terms of sound quality and the software support? Should i rather have gone for the wired version? The sound on these cards sound a bit muddy, but I think it's just eq settings. BUT, whenever i try and download an eq preset from the g hub repository (or whatever you call it), it doesn't even show in custom equaliser profiles at all. Anyone else having this problem? Help? Sorry if this is a dumb post. Thanks in advance!
hey there, yes the wired sound better than the wireless, but the wireless do still sound great! as for ghub, make sure it is updated, it does have eq settings.
Right now I have the hyperx cloud alphas and i was thinking about changing them for the g pro x wireless. Are they the best ones for their price or can i get something better for maybe a little bit higher price?
@@TheTechne I apologize, yes you did talk about comfort, I was just expecting you to try them on in front of the camera like I've seen in previous reviews. All good though! Thanks for the great review!
This might be random but should i get the g703 or the deathadder v2. My current mouse has a similar shape to the g703 but it looks like the DA v2 offers more features for the price
I just picked one of these up along with the super light x gpro, gotta say I’m incredibly impressed with the sound quality and the surround features, but with the mic I feel as though I may aswell be talking into a potato. Not sure if this is my settings or if it’s just another shoddy headset mic, but if anyone else had issues of static and weird/poor sounding voice, I’d appreciate any help with a configuration. I’ve tried all of them and they all seem to suck lol.
I bought those headphones and noticed a constant static sound when they were on and realized from online threads that it's in all of the headsets. I was pretty disappointed and returned them. I'm sad because I always loved Logitech headsets but I believe that this one was a flop because of the constant static alone.
Tbh man, im good. I spent quite a bit of money on the wired version and didnt even know that this one was coming out at all. If i didnt already spend for the wired version then id jump on this in a heartbeat. I knew it was inevitable that a wireless version would come out because of how great its wired brethren was, but i didnt know how soon it would actually be out. Im gonna pass as much as i love the headset. Great review regardless.

do you think this is a better option than the beyerdynamic dt 990 pro. only thing that worries me about the 990's is the sound leak
Hey which did you go for in the end? Stuck between the same two headphones
Looking to upgrade to a wireless headset. Looking at these. Atlas aero. And cloud flight s. All reviewed by you. Watched each video. Wondering which would you choose? Strictly for PC gaming. Have speakers for listening or watching. So this will be strictly for PC gaming
Thanks in advance!
Any chance you'll be looking at the new razer blackshark v2s? I'm currently debating between those and the arctis 5 (which I know you recommend).
yes I will, will be up next week
Which one has better sound and comfort, this or the arctis 7? I usually use it with glasse. Thanks!
7's
@@TheTechne thanks for the quick reply! Great reviews
I know that cloud stinger is budget friendly and has good quality , but if I purchase a g pro x wireless , is there a big difference?
Thanks for the review Techne! Liked and subbed! Hoping you or someone on here can help me though.
TLDR version:
How HyperX Cloud Flight stack against these?
These are a ton better. I switched from those to these not going back.
what is better the g pro wireless x or the Beyerdynamic DT 990 pros for competitive gaming use
Amazing review definitely subbed for me 👍
Hey.I have the logitech g pro new version.Do you think i should upgrade to these?
Can the EQ and mic settings be saved to the headset itself? Or must you have Ghub running for them to take effect?
Is this much better than steelseries arctis 3 and is it worth upgrading?
Right now I have the hyperx cloud alphas and i was thinking about changing them for the g pro x wireless. Are they the best ones for their price or can i get something better for maybe a little bit higher price?
Comparison Vs steel series arctis 7?
If I would go for a headset , I'll probably go for arctis 7, seems really comfortable
First time I've seen you do a headset review without the comfort test.
hold up, did I seriously not? I'm about to rewatch okay I just watched it, and I talk about comfort
DA palm grip, 703 palm/claw
The Techne thanks for replying and keep up the good work
Can you review the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700x please!!!!!!! Gr8 content btw just amazing
