What I don't seem to understand, why do so many older adults consider spending thousands, hundreds of thousands, even millions, on lovers they meet online....but argue when their own children ask for money?
Well, children many times have taken advantage of them all their life. The money grown kids borrow, they usually will never see again. When a woman thinks she is in a real relationship and in love. Is being told she is wonderful, beautiful, humorous and someone spends time just talking to her, it means more than you will ever know. They fall in love on-line and once they've sent a significant amount of money, they keep sending more because they believed in this person (and they havent been screwed over repeatedly by them...yet), and thought when they got here they would be paid back. Once they're in for a certain amount, they are so desperate to get it back they keep sending more to get whatever obstacle or circumstances there are out of the way so they can finally get their money back.
Honestly the fact that she gave this scammer 1 million before considering giving the kids of departed husband any cash makes it real tough to feel sorry for her
The older I am, the less I feel sorry for the people. As terrible as it sounds, but majority lives the life they picked and deserve. Yes, it’s terrible that she get scammed, but in other hand, she hasn’t been thinking about anything but herself. Even with this virtual “guy” it was always the money that was foundation of their relationship. And when everything went downhill, her first question was: “where’s the money?”
But wtf. All of you people's comments are so mean. All of them are about the VICTIM, and not the scammer, and most of them are negative. You people are just adding salt to the wound. Why?

When he asked her for money, she said she could‘t give it to him, because she hardly made ends meet after her divorce. Then he vanished and left her heartbroken. Until this day I‘m so proud and thankful of her for not giving in and taking care of the both of us instead of falling for this dirtbag ❤

Look At me I am special needs & I had special ed classes. But I don't go throwing my money away. I know better.
She said selling her house was “one of the stupidest things” she’s ever done. Makes me wonder what kind of life she’s had if that doesn’t stand alone as THE most insane thing ever.
Pretty sure right after selling she said she moved into the Trump hotel….so sending money to scammers who will not use the money as they claimed is a repeated mistake.
i heard her catch herself when she said that... she probably remembered something that happened in the 70s and was like well, it wasn't as stupid as that ONE time
And all of these people consistently say how smart they are, how they would never fall for a scam, as they hand over their banking info, SS#, everything
Elle ne pensait qu'à la quantité d'argent dans le coffre et n'aurait jamais aidé un homme qui n'a rien et est véritablement en détresse financière, c'est aussi une femme intéressée
I think I would have had to verify externally because asking is probably to easy to lie about but the sad thing about the entire pattern is that in this cycle massive lies are told to build;d up an amount of nonexistent money and many times the person is sitting outside of the whole thing because they don’t want to think someone would do such a thing to them. And many years ago probably not but now as has been said by many it could happen to anyone.
The poor husband left her money to live on and she goes to spend it like this. Hard to justify this level of stupidity and disrespect towards that poor man work
This is just insane. Can't believe people can be so insensible. She says, "I want to know who he is" after spending her entire life savings on this person. Why not asked this question before sending any money to someone she never met!!!!
That’s what I thought. He worked hard and saved money for financial security in their twilight years and she gave it away. His kids have no inheritance now. Who gives someone they’ve never met a million dollars? I wouldn’t send them one dollar. They tell us to watch who our kids are talking to online but who’s keeping an eye on mom and dad? 🤦🏻♀️

LOL yeah really!!! I would have said- just pay for the shipping out of that cash in the safe you're sending me! That letter quoting package delivery service 1-2 months $20,000 or 2-3 weeks $40,000 or 3 days for $140,000 is laughable! you could BUY a 40 foot shipping container and ship it across the ocean cheaper than that!!
I could just see those 15 year old scammers huddled together trying to figure out how much she would be stupid enough to fall for. “yea let’s go for the 140,000- sounds bout right”😂😂😂😂 they had her figured out by then, this had to be in the top ten lucrative one story scams of all time 🤣🤣🤣
The way she gushes over his handsome looks...combined with her belief that she was going to receive 750 million dollars...it's the classic combo of lust and greed. That's what she fell for 😒

I am finding it hard to feel bad for her-she willfully gave all of her $$ to someone she never met. The fact that her late husband has 2 grown children but left her everything, only for her to go and waste it like that is sickening.
Firstly you don’t know he left her everything. Believe it or not, but what he left her sounds like a portion of inheritance - people at this level don’t just have a million dollars only 😁. She might not have anything to do with the children but I highly doubt he didn’t leave them money too
I was so sad for her until she pointed out her husband had two kids, and she still inherited everything, and blew it all. You'd think before selling the house and losing hundreds of thousands of their dad's money, she would at least talk to them first. idk

As soon as I heard that the late husband had two children who now don’t get ANY inheritance, I lost the minuscule amount of sympathy I had for her. Absolutely unbelievable and selfish woman
I actually felt more empathy. She seems like she was left entirely alone. The children have no made her a part of the family. If they knew this was going on they could have protected her and the money, but they left her alone. If they felt entitled to it they would have kept her in their life. It was HER money to begin with. End of story. But if they were expecting something after she’s gone, money to be left to them, they shouldn’t have left her alone.
@Soaring_Seajay .... I understand that, but it made me wonder, if they were a**holes why would she feel bad at all that nothing went to them? Why does she only feel bad now that its all gone?
OK, once they said “we need money for someone to get plastic surgery to make them look like your boyfriend you’ve never met so they can claim a package,” that was the point where there is no way it was believable at all….
After watching a number romance scam videos, no ridiculous story is crazy enough for these desperate lonely woman to stop sending money. I think the fact she worked in the entertainment industry for so many decades kinda skewed her perspective. Though you'd think she'd understand the recovery time for the level of plastic surgery (multiple procedures) required to alter someone's appearance, and realize it wasn't exactly feasible to do this to get a shipment through. I'm sure she was super sheltered. One of these people who depended on the agents and managers to take care of logistics and requests. Remember, her heyday was the era of big concert tours and massive, long-running positive cash flow. Stevie Nicks is still rolling it in, I am sure. This lady was adjacent to all that, plus I bet her husband handled all the finances and budgets. But yeah: that's what I was thinking. HUGE jackpot. None of this "gonna sell my trailer and get a payday advance on my disability check" like many of the marks who only get taken for $20K or so.
They are not victims, they are idiots. Sorry, but nobody with any common sense would send that amount of money to someone they never met‼️ Obviously, she should not be allowed to make any decisions regarding her life.
She’s clearly incapable of managing her own finances. She should’ve had a trusted family member manage her bank account and give her a set amount per month so she couldn’t give it all away like this. So sad
Her husband worked hard all his life, only for his legacy to be squandered on a gang of thieves. She should be ashamed of herself. I have no sympathy for such stupidity.
What have I said over and over? Never make major life decisions so soon after a major loss like that! You are literally not in your right mind after losing a beloved spouse, and the scammers know this and bank on it!

It’s wild that the husband would leave it all to her and she wouldn’t offer to help his kids. I get that they are grown but everyone needs help from time to time. I imagine they have families of their own and could have used the money. This is not entirely unheard of though. When my father passed, he left it all to his wife even though he had seven adult children, and she didn’t offer us anything either. Spent it how she saw fit 🤷♂️
She could've lived the rest of her life with one million dollars invested in 3 simple index funds. Her house sounds like it was paid off or almost paid for. Now she's living in a hotel. I hope she paid into social security over the years, so she'll have a little money every month.
I have a suspicion that Christine McVee "dropped" that cash in front of her because Liza was going through something and needed money. Her rich friends probably helped her a lot and got tired of it because Liza never learns.
I can get sending 60 or less, but I won't go as far as 100 or more if I was in a vulnerable state of mind. Though they wouldn't get any cash from me period.
The part at the end: Her husband has two children?!?! So this money wasn't JUST supposed to go to her. Whatever was left over when she passed was supposed to be their inheritance!!! *NO PITY.* What a self-absorbed woman.
Well, you have to understand that the children are young, still working and able to support themselves. The widow does not work, has no income, and way to support herself, so naturally you as a husband would leave the money to the wife.
This is incredibly frustrating to watch. I don’t want to be mean and truly believe no one should call anyone stupid... but omg these people are testing that conviction of mine! One million dollars????? HOW?!?! This is willfully being ignorant at this point!!!

@@aprioriontoast704 First, this has nothing to do with loneliness. Loneliness is easily cured by spending more time with family, friends, doing hobbies, keeping pets, volunteering, etc etc. If you're so dysfunctional that you can't get your social needs met any other way than 'sexually', no 'boyfriend' is going to fix you. It means you don't value relationships, and don't want to make the effort necessary to foster them. Second, yes .. she is an awful human being. Being 'broken' is no excuse for what she's done to both her husband's memory, and to his children. Plenty of people lose loved ones and don't do something this despicable. Besides, if she loved her husband as much as she says she did, there's no way she'd be looking to replace him at her time of life. NO WAY. I think being involved with someone who has to prove they are real, is not worth it.

What if someone pointed a finger at you to victimize themselves while making you out to be a villain just bc you have access to clean water/sanitation AND have it so good that you also have access to a computer. In comparison, you have it so much better.
@@tanyachefreality is subjective
Lmao I just said the same thing.
@@tanyachefwell for one she didn’t send a million to a stranger then tell the world about it, so I suspect there are many snarky yet true comments in here. I think that’s a fair comparison she is clearly not struggling when many families are & just one of those amounts even $1,000 could have been life changing to a family in need. Have you been romance scammed yourself? Is that your beef? You should contact the show 😂.
@@murphy1011 YOU get my point. It could be argued that it is a privilege to have subjectivity to reality.
Plastic surgery??? And at this point she still didn’t think there was something odd going on 😅❤️
She lusted after the 700 million promised to her and as a result she abandoned all critical thought...
Honestly I was pretty disgusted when she said that her husband had two grown children and he left everything to her. Saying she lost all of HER money. A-L-L ALL of it. I honestly usually have sympathy for these people, but she’s just so self centered and completely lacking insight into her actions. It’s unreal.
Yes! Why aren't more people commenting on that? My jaw dropped when she said that. His kids must loathe her, and for good reason.
What kind of father would leave all of his money to his wife and none to his kids?
@@michelleshocked2010that's my question too🤦🏽♀️. Like what type of father was he to them or did they have any major problems that were unresolved prior to his passing? Just wow
If he didn't want to leave them money, then its his own problem.
@@michelleshocked2010 A love scam victim.
That's called greed.
If she didn't see the gold and money, would she send that money?
You notice 99% of these victims are expecting it to pay off at a later date because this online lover has so much money. I feel like greed is at the base of most of these sob stories.
Who ever heard of a delivery service for 140K madness. One easy reverse image search would of stopped all of this.
Has a castle and a helicopter but no money for Internet 😂
I'm your 100th like! :D

If she ever gets any money back, she should urgently send it all to the husband's audult kids. She should not posses any money for her own good...
I agree. She will fall easily for another scammers if he use a different script
Yes . Agree .
She could've lived the rest of her life with one million dollars invested in 3 simple index funds. Her house sounds like it was paid off or almost paid for. Now she's living in a hotel. I hope she paid into social security over the years, so she'll have a little money every month.
@@rt66vintage16I suspect she's living off her wealthy friends now.
Too bad all of her amazing friends did not tell her this guy was a scammer. So sad.
She’s not intelligent and neither are her friends. Water seeks its own level.
My guess is They probably did, certainly her kids must have said something, it was their money that was being squandered.
I have a suspicion that Christine McVee "dropped" that cash in front of her because Liza was going through something and needed money. Her rich friends probably helped her a lot and got tired of it because Liza never learns.
@JaimeMesChiens I think her rich friends are paying and supporting her now.
Probably has none 😂Jesus
This is just utterly sad. How lonely do you have to be to send a complete and total stranger 1.5 million? 😣
OMG, this is insane, you don't need a PHD to figure out this person is not real
Even if he was who he says he is, is he really worth 1 million dollars?
@@ubiquitousdiabolusDon't you mean $700 MILLION... And that is loose change he put in a box AND MAILED IT???
Bro what
1 million??! I think the ones who send 5k are insane but this is crazy
I can get sending 60 or less, but I won't go as far as 100 or more if I was in a vulnerable state of mind. Though they wouldn't get any cash from me period.
Sitting here listening with my mouth open in disbelief. ..crazy crazy
I am in total disbelief. This story just stands out.
I saw another episode a woman gave 800k I was shocked
The part at the end: Her husband has two children?!?!
So this money wasn't JUST supposed to go to her. Whatever was left over when she passed was supposed to be their inheritance!!!
*NO PITY.* What a self-absorbed woman.
I prayed he left them money seperately too but apparently not for some reason. At least she realises how she messed up.
You prayed? 🤡💩
Well, you have to understand that the children are young, still working and able to support themselves. The widow does not work, has no income, and way to support herself, so naturally you as a husband would leave the money to the wife.
@majorronaldmandell7835 No if you have adult children you should 100% leave them money also. I have never heard of such a thing.
Nobody owes their kids an inheritance, what are you on about?
When you're recently widowed you don't jump on line and start dating again! So weird and desperate!
@moon-moth1 hypocritical answer! If her late husband was so bad who cares what she does with her own money! Think!
What is “recently?” What is the acceptable amount of time that you would approve of?
This is incredibly frustrating to watch. I don’t want to be mean and truly believe no one should call anyone stupid... but omg these people are testing that conviction of mine! One million dollars????? HOW?!?! This is willfully being ignorant at this point!!!
The fact is, that the majority of Americans are stupid people. As George Carlin said, "think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of em are stupider than that"
I wouldn't even send a guy I'd never met one dollar, much less one million!
Wow, her husband left her everything over his own kids and she gave it all to a scammer. That has to burn for the kids. I bet they hate this woman.
I would feel so vindicated as one of those kids. 😂😂
Maybe the kids are the scammers 😂
@@ciarajeanrHow do you know his children aren't already wealthy or just bad people? Parents don't owe their grown children anything after they're gone. Do you know how many times children fight over their dead parents' inheritance? Y'all probably know from experience. Shame on you.

Start dating women in their 60s and be a good listener
Great comment, Isa 😀
My husband and my ex boyfriend where the only men who have gave or spent money on me. But I didn't expect anything from men who I wasn't committed to either
How stupid can you be sending all this money to someone you've never even met. He gives her excuse after excuse but yet she keeps sending money....sad. Her dead husband has to be spinning in his grave.
I am screaming out loud how far this woman went giving away her and her past husband’s entire life to this scammer. I can’t even fathom why 🤦🏻♂️
@@lolroflkartoffel123 Yep. These women are raging narcissists, who think they're far too special and gorgeous for 'average' men their own age. It's incredible.
They have no ability to measure themselves against reality in terms of how they look. Usually that only happens when you're someone whose narcissism makes you difficult to be around, so you don't have honest people keeping you grounded.

She was lonely and depressed , and the guy reminded her of her husband. Loneliness can destroy a person , but lack of common sense and delusional desperation makes them throw their lives away for any chance of finding love. It's very sad to watch, I am sure this lady isn't a awful human being she is just broken and stupid.
NO WAY. A 'boyfriend' would be the very last thing she'd want .. or need.
this is jawdropping how a woman can spend so much on a complete stranger.
What we would do with that money….its insane she just threw it away.
I am widowed as well, so I understand the heartbreak, loneliness, the sorrow and depression. However, the lack of self preservation in this is wild!
