Get ready for today's 30 min jump rope workout. If you are looking for easy ways to switch up your cardio workouts - using a jump rope or ghost rope (pretending to use a jump rope) is such a great way to get your cardio in and keep you on your toes, pun intended. ;)
This jump rope cardio workout is 30 minutes long, if you are using an actual jump rope and not going the ghost route make sure you have enough space and the proper ceiling height to be able to jump rope without any obstacles in your way.

Hello, Sir. I'm a great fan of jump rope HIIT workout. Can you add more of this type of exercise in your list? Thank you. God bless you for helping millions..
You got it! Thank you 🙏🏽
I second this motion!
Really enjoyed second time round. Did it on Tuesday but I couldn't do the last round. Mind over matter. My brain 🧠 told me I couldn't do it and I buckled. Today I finished it and I have to say I learnt a great deal about myself and the conversation that happens in my head. Thinking very positive and upbeat for finishing. Thanks Dan. Love the rope exercise so I'll look for more of those. I did another 15min rope one you have on Wednesday. Thank you 🙏🏋🏋♀️🏋🏻♂️

Hello Dan, I just came across your fantastic videos. I'm turning 50 in April, and I like various workouts. Do you take requests for different routines?
Thanks for the message. I appreciate the feedback and kind words. I would love to take some requests. What are you thinking?
Welcome Dan, I'm looking for a home workout to avoid getting neck and back pain afterwords. Thanks in advance!
My other request is workouts to help with overall balance and, hand -eye coordination.
Well, you’re in good company. I have herniated discs at C6-7 and paracentral disc extrusion in my neck at L4-5. Neck and back pain has been my life since I was 17.. so I have a pretty good understanding. There are a few exercises that I do often that focus on strengthening the back that don’t require weights. One of the best is the reverse hypertension - ua-cam.com/video/sTzgDjBwlHc/v-deo.html @ 31:00 I often do this exercise while laying on my bed. Hips should be near the edge of the bed, lay on your stomach then lift your legs up and hold. Do about 20 reps every day (more if possible) and that will really help to strengthen your back. A couple other really good exercises for core stability (which will help your back) are Bird Dogs and Dead Bugs.
I’ll see about putting together a workout for back & neck strengthening exercises. Thanks for the suggestion!
Fantastic Dan, I appreciate the feedback and any future videos you put out. Could you please make a video that would help with sports performance? I'm a bowler, and want a workout routine that helps strengthen knees and legs. Thank you in advance!
Round 2 onwards the cues to start and stop the HIIT "on" period are lost. IS that just my endpoint? I'm trying not to look at the video and just use the cues. Would be very helpful
Can you post about your diet and first
Absolutely. Working on a diet video. But to give you a quick version, I don't count macros but I do pay attention to calories. The only thing I'm really concerned with (mainly because my diet is really clean) is being in a caloric deficit -- consume less calories than I burn in a day. I track calories with my Apple Watch and keep a log of my calories consumed each day, even if it's a ballpark.
I don't usually eat a large breakfast. About 50% of the week I drink a protein shake with isolate protein powder, collagen from Bionic Nutrition, Heal from The Amino Co and 2T Adams Peanut Butter. I always use water in my protein shakes.
On the other days I make oatmeal (1/3C Gluten Free oats) along with the same ingredients as in my shake, but I also add in a handful of blueberries and I use 1/4 - 1/3C almond milk instead of water.
For a snack between breakfast and lunch I drink a green juice that I make: spinach, celery, broccoli, cucumber, ginger, apple, lemon and sometimes I'll add an avocado. Along with this I'll eat a handful of almonds or other nuts.
Lunch is almost always a large salad. Mixed greens, cucumber, peppers, beets, red onion, avocado, hemp hearts, chicken or steak, and I usually make a homemade vinaigrette dressing or oil & vinegar dressing from Newmans.
Between lunch and dinner I usually drink another protein shake and will eat some veggies, slices of lunch meat and/or nuts.
Dinner always consists of some greens - usually broccoli, brussels sprouts, green beans or asparagus, a protein: fish, shrimp, chicken or steak, and a half sweet potato or baked potato.
I do make some kind of pasta once or twice a week using whole wheat pasta and a protein - chicken, beef or turkey.
If I get hungry any other time I eat a protein ball or two ua-cam.com/video/JySWB9k-pfU/v-deo.html.
That's generally what I eat in a day. I try to eat about 5 times per day to keep my metabolism high and I don't eat a lot of carbs. I am pretty disciplined in what I eat and I don't crave a lot of unhealthy foods. However, I will eat a burger & fries or pizza from time to time... gotta enjoy some of life's pleasures ;)
Hope that helps and let me know if you have any questions. 🤙🏽

❤️
Do you use a weighted skipping rope
Yes. In this video I'm using a 1/4 lb weighted rope.
