FINAL FANTASY 8 was my first love of final fantasy series.i played it when im 13yo.now im 30.its been 17 years.and iam still remember how beautiful the game was.rinoa.squall.the love story. thank you for playing final fantasy's musics. cant wait any longer for the other music from FF series.
I think this is the theme from trabia garden when the party goes to it (selphie a character wanted to see it where she is from and they went after it was hit by missles) and this is the music that is playing throughout.
FF8 LATE DISC 2 SPOILERS: Yeah, Squall wants to check on Trabia garden after the missile attack on it in disc 2. They start to remember their childhood (if I remember correctly) after they realize they have met before and this song plays during the memories of being at the Matron's (Edea's) orphanage together as small children. That inspires them to go to Edea's house, but Galbadia is waiting for them and the most epic battle sequence in the entire game starts when the 2 gardens fight each other. You end up fighting Edea for the second time, (EARLY DISC 3 SPOILERS COMING NOW) freeing her from Ultimecia's control (LATE DISC 3 SPOILERS COMING NOW) and removing her sorceress powers (you find that out after Doctor Odine is done examining her).
Are the lesser amount of views/likes a sign that less people played FFVIII or even remember the music? I think it’s some of the most mature writing Uematsu did (until his work on Lost Odyssey), especially since the soundtrack is full of nods to Chopin, Debussy, Satie, Ravel, heck... even some Philip Glass. Great job with this! Wow!

Wow, somehow that really inspires me to go back to the organ. I'm going to look this piece up as soon as i can. The reason I don't play much organ is because it's hard to get access to one. On the official soundtrack, Balamb Garden and Ami are all given their own versions. The game is probably like 70% file size dedicated to sound track. There is like 4 full discs worth of soundtrack.

Such delicate melodies, this was just perfect. But l seem to be missing a passage during Balamb Gardens when it goes dramatically mixolydian out of the blue (just like in the intro of Aerith's theme). Perhaps this piano arrangement is different.
looks like the ami lovers are coming outta the woodwork now! naturally there are a handful that flock to the more mainstream/moneyshot songs, but the VIII OST is so rich, that there's plenty to go around :) the balamb garden/ami arrangement from fithos lusec wecos vinosec is so warm and stunning.

Thank you Robert, I'm so glad you chanced upon my channel! I grew up playing video games because I had an older brother. He and I were close, and we would play old NES and SNES games together. I also loved the N64 console. I never got into Final Fantasy except for IX, but I watched my brother play several of them. Actually I did play FF1 as my first FF game, but I never completed it because I got stuck and my brother wouldn't help me XD I'll never forgive him for that haha! But the music from the games is also nostalgic for me, because of how much I watched my brother play. I won the FFXIV Heavensward music competition, and that's what started me recording more FF music. It's been a fun journey!

BTW I see that you said you recorded this upon request. Could I request Final Fantasy 6's Forever Rachel? IMO Forever Rachel is the only song Uematsu has done that can compare to Aerith's theme for shear beauty. For a few years I didn't think Uematsu would ever top it, and then Final Fantasy 7 came out. lol Even today I could flip a coin and go with either or and be conflicted as to which is the prettier song.
Setting aside the fact that she seems to be really tall (1,75+), her slim figure and gracefulness make me think of Auri, from the books of Patrick Rothfuss (The Name of the Wind, The Wise Man's Fear and The Slow Regard of Silent Things). It is almost impossible not to love her, even more when we get to know her better in the spin-off book. About Kara I love how "human" she looks in the livestreams. It's not a bad thing being really good at something, but some other musicians are so "perfect" that they sometimes look like mere androids. They lack her "fire" for learning new things and willingness to get better for us.
