I bought a drum sander yesterday. I was so pleased and excited to have it right up until I watched this video. Yours makes mine look like a sandwich toaster or something!
That was epic!!! I’m sooo going to start sanding naked from now on. Will make it lonely more enjoyable!!! 😂 that was absolutely epic and amazing!!!! 😂 thank you for that man!
Thank you for sharing your experience and give us valuable information. I would like to ask what's the replacement of the oil you used, cuz its not available, also I would like what kind of wood lumber you used, can u give me the name? Thanks 🙂
I am desperate. I purchased live acacia table that I have ruined by sanding and putting olive oil on it. I think it turned the wood red-ish. I need professional advice on getting it back to it's original color and a recommended mat clear top for it
I am trying my first river table . Thinking of osmo products, on my turning projects i use OB shine juice to really bring out the chatoyance and grain , capped with a mix of that and CA glue . In your experience do you think osmo products can give a similar result on larger areas ?
Personally Osmo would be my choice for sure, I've tried them all and ive by far had the best results with Osmo. Sand to 320, buff in with a white pad (by hand or with a polisher) remove access with a blue shop towel. Repeat twice with at least 8 hours in-between. Then polish twice with there liquid wax cleaner.
Beautiful work. I only have one question - what is your reasoning behind being naked from the waist down while buffing the oil dry? Does this help create a nicer finish for your wood?
Hi thanks for the tutorial! I noticed you have two identical links for the same OSMO product but you named them differently "Polyx" and "Extra thin", but the Amazon link is only for OSMO Woodwax, extra thin. Then in one of the comments, you mention using OSMO liquid wax cleaner too! Would you mind listing the process of all 3 of these applications in the correct order? Many thanks!!
Any recommendations on using hand tools only don’t have a wood shop or accessories in a his video but would like to make something similar. Thank you a ton👌🏻
My husband and I are going to make a table like thus this summer. We bought a 9 ft slab of ambrosia maple. Is that oil you put on all you need to seal and protect the wood? Do you need to redo it every few years? I assumed we have to put lacquer on the table but we're new at this.
Thank you, So the table was made for a semi retired couple with no young children. which means its been looked after. I do regular work for the couple so I see the table pretty regularly and can happily say there hasn't been any movement or twisting.
I've watched your video a few times and I would like to know do you prepare slabs for sale. I found a person who sales slabs in my area in NC. I like how you put the table together without the bow tie fitter blocks. Also, I rewound a few times to see when you stated working without your pants...lmbo. Your wife's gonna get you...I'm sure she did already..lol.
Thats an amazing job you did on this table, espacially a well found edge. I'm just curious what kind of wood did you use and what thickness did you start with?
Nice table, but when I see bunch of different tools, like grinders, drum sanders, for me with few tools it is not diy, it is workshop manufacturing :) diy in the beginning was to make something with basic tools, almost everyone has 😁
why is it that eveyone who does all this woodworking always has an almost professional set of tools at his disposal! What about the average person who doesn't have all this stuff!
When you set out to do these projects you may only have a drill but by the end of it you'll have a bunch of tools you never used before (and may never again)
The average person who doesn't have all this stuff (and may I add, the woodworking skills) pays the person who does for a fine piece of solid wood furniture. Or goes to Ikea.
Personally I started with next to nothing but I made conscious decisions to put a few dollars away to buy the “next” level tools from where I was at. Then made and sold a few trays and benches then took that money and bought tools that were a little better than the last. That’s a vicious cycle I think all craftsmen go through regardless of the trade. Most of these folks have been at this for years.
Go to the super or dollar store and buy her a bunch of replacement pie tins as a thank you for not giving you a hard time add a small bag of chocolates. And watch her smile
Glad to see another person who likes to do woodworking without pants.
The best diy Ive ever seen
Thanks so much dude
This is beautiful! Wow! I think anyone would be happy to have that as their dining table! 😀
Den&MugMAKES Thanks guys
Rad Dad Builds how much would table like that cost

Ha ha, Sorry dude. Regardless of size there a huge upgrade from hand sanding once you have it dialled in.
Get a bigger one. Size matters
Thanks for your explanations, that looks great ! 🔥
I have a slab that is 27 x 47 what type of base or legs should I order and where do you recommend?
Very well done nice job
Very useful thing to have. Shaving everything,

Thanks dude, I appreciate it.
Dig the video and your style. Well done my man!
Job well done.
Looks great mate! You obviously know how to treat your wood, quick question, what exactly is going on at 9:55 ?
love the live edge!!! I want to start working some projects with it!!
Its Satisfying turning a rough piece of wood into something beautiful.
where did you buy the metal frame or did you build it? thanks
Where did base come from?
Can you make the normal dining table into live edge table
Hello..Please can you tell me whick machine you use for making holes in wood?
Great build, I have just one question: Why didn't you turn one slab around to get the same live edge orientation?
What kind of wood is it?
Nice wood! Wonder if you just coat the tabletop surface? Or both sides?
Great table! What is the length width?
Nice. That’s a really good job. Looks amazing!
Simple Woodworking Thanks dude, I appreciate that.
Subscribed. I admired your work. Love live edge table. Keep up the good work. Blessings
Thanks, I appreciate your kind words.
What song is playing at 2:40?
Really like your channel. Great job!
Thanks dude
Is there any option for epoxy? Anything
Looks great. One suggestion….seal the hole before adding epoxy. This will greatly decrease the risk of getting small air bubbles from the wood.

If you can't get Osmo Oil may I suggest using Rubio Monocoat in "pure" Its a great alternative. For the slab of wood I used maple.
@@RadDadBuilds Thank you man!

has it cracked or moved? I hear its something to watch out far. If not, what did you do?

Pretty nice how can works well the straps for fiting the slabs... 8 clamps vs 3 strap :) Nice idea and processing video, thanks for that!
Thanks. It was a last minute panic idea that worked out great.

Danke von mein herz Respekt 👍🏼
Love the table. Quick question though. Is there a reason why you didnt use c channels to reinforce the table or do you think it doesn't require it?

We just gonna ignore the naked sanding? Is this normal???
You saying it ain't normal? Most things men like to do for entertainment are better done naked!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I need a large jointer like yours.
Its a beast, I love it
Looks great.
Thankyou

What size tenons did you use? It’s BEAUTIFUL

and a link to the threaded inserts as well as the bolts for them would be much appreciated!
Linked in the description below video. They sell the same at Home Depot which would probably be easier to buy.
How has the table worn? Any wood movement, or twisting of the slab? Nice looking top you make there. 👍👌
Thank you, So the table was made for a semi retired couple with no young children. which means its been looked after. I do regular work for the couple so I see the table pretty regularly and can happily say there hasn't been any movement or twisting.
so simple when you have professional wood shop :-)
Where did you get the legs from?
I have my legs fabricated locally but you can buy similar on amazon and Etsy
What grit you sand to ?
240grit.
Wondering why did you put the epoxy spots on the top? Was that the best side?
Yea the underside wasn't nearly as nice as the top. Ideally the epoxy spots dont exist but the client want to keep the thickness of the slabs.
What kind of wood did you use?
Its Maple
great video ... thanks! I'm very interested to know where you got the table legs? Best, Gary
Thank you. I had the base made locally but they sell very similar on the likes of etsy.
Great job i really loved how it turned out. What is the thickness of the slabs ?? They really gave it s special look 😍😍😍
Nice work bro! Would it be safe for me to ASSume this mASSterpiece is not your first?
I like what you did there haha. Your part of the elite group that noticed
Beautiful mate, where do you purchase the pre made steel legs from?
Thanks bud. I have all my metal work fabricated local but you can buy similar on the likes of Etsy
I don't know what is better, table or music... ☺️
Thanks Dude
Hey man, good job.
Can you tell the dimensions of the table ,the dimensions of the legs and how long is leg to leg.thanks.
Hail from Greece.

This is awesome. Do you sell your tables?
Thanks a lot, unfortunately I do not

Thanks bud, I used maple wood and it started at 3” thick

Money dude!!! Thank you!
Tell me you sell some of your work please!!
"DIY" with industrial machinery. Skip to 12.12, thank me later

Great video.......However, the music is awful and totally unnecessary
Sorry for that
Woodglut plans are awesome!
Fu****** epilepsy warning!!! at the end
Haha not too many get that far.
Jeez that music was intensely annoying. Build was fine though, although hope you didn't say anything important as had to mute the video after a while.
