@@gamingshark2522 If your country has a 2 party system, as does the US and any First Past the Post country, then you can't escape that fact by voting for someone outside the 2 main parties. If you could, you would not be in a 2 party system to start with.
Proportional representation can typically be introduced only if one of the 2 major parties wants it, and gets enough power for itself that it can present and act on a referendum on PR.

One of the worst aspects of our legal system, is that when there is a fine, it becomes a penalization upon the poor and a minor inconvenience to the wealthy. That crime is essentially legal at a cash price point.

That's right! It's hard to keep track of all the threats and innuendo by Trump, and claims of having an ace up his sleeve, a perfect defense, a perfect NDA, a perfect phone call...
There's such a constant barrage of it that we may fall back to our default position when people ordinarily make such claims: okay, they may be exaggerating, but surely there is a grain of truth buried somewhere in there. They wouldn't completely fabricate all these stories and try to get away with it.
Not so. Trump would. And he wouldn't think twice about it. He's a narcissist. His epistemology is that whatever he says is incontrovertibly true. If he immediately contradicts one claim with another, then both are true and you're just too pitifully misguided to understand his genius.
I forgot all about his amazing bombshell evidence, which it seems is still nowhere to be found. The defense has one last run at redirect, so strictly speaking we can't be absolutely sure that something important won't be entered at the literal eleventh hour.
But if past performance is any guide, he's got nothing but a damp squib, as the language of pyrotechnics has it. Not even a fizzle, the Emperor's tattered wardrobe truly revealed. That's the reasonable expectation here, and Trump rarely disappoints, in that sense at least.

It's all in Rudy's bedroom, along with the truckloads of irrefutable evidence that the wide-spread election fraud stole the win from Donald Trump. Rudy has been making that claim for many years now. Why he has yet to show the evidence to anyone is a bit of a mystery, though.

When you follow a fool you end up in a foolish situation. Lawyers for Trump, keep following his orders and the end result is ruined careers.
One good thing about Trump- he sure gets all the incompetent people to expose themselves to the rest of us, which probably saves a lot of people a lot of grief in the long run.
I think that Trump is a flight risk and he will leave the county asap.
If he truly believed he was going to be put in cuffs and taken to a prison cell, then yes, he'd already be on his plane and flying to Moscow. But the judge has already stated he doesn't want to send a former President to jail, and the appeals process means that Trump will remain free for the next two years at a minimum. If he isn't the President, and he's still alive in two years, and his appeal falls flat (which it obviously will), and Putin is still in power, then he'll hop his plane for Moscow rather than serve his sentence.
We should be so lucky if he were to leave and not come back.
