DCS: F-4E Phantom II - Episode II - Flight Model
Вставка
- Опубліковано 24 лют 2024
- Lets talk flying brick! Episode II gives you a quick overview of the flight model and some of the "ancillary" work around the flight model itself, such as control systems, engines, and other key elements.
Thank you for all of your support and love and see you in the skies! - Ігри
I am afraid to fly this for fear of rupturing the spacetime continuum due to this simulation being more realistic than the aircraft itself.
Hahahaha, You are playing DCS and then Q just shows up and you heard Mon Capitain!!
How much of the cpu goes to the systems modeling? If it’s significant can it be simplified in the menu?
I don't know that exact figure, but I believe it was said that it has about 30% more systems being computed in real time than their F-14B module.@@Wheelman_PCAS
@@Wheelman_PCAS how much? the answer is: YES!!!
This comment wins the internet today.
3:40 ohhh man the way the spoilers are slightly moving around is SO DAMN COOL. Ive never seen that level of detail in a sim literally anywhere. You can tell that specific control surface has its own mass, drag and inertia. It really feels like it is its own chunk of metal, and not a texture on a static 3d model :D
Gives me the F14 center console glitch vibes .
Makes me wish Heatblur could go and re-touch up all the planes in dcs with the “Heatblur treatment”! You really raised the bar!
Agree
I will be flying this and the A-6 until the end of time
Man I don't know how you guys managed to bring the most realistic condensation/vortices effect ever seen in flight simulation but I'm here for it. This is insane
Even better than the 1st party modules 😮
@@GamjaFieldthat’s because the models are the quality is the best in the ED world
I swear to god i was literally about to put the phone down and go to sleep. As i was placing it on the nightstand, Heatblur does this.
❤
Same now no sleep with night terrors of engine flame outs and inlet bellows freezing
You're not alone
Same here. About tongo tonbed and... Video notification popped. Of course I delayed my sleeping time
My goodness, you guys really show that there truly are no limits to DCS and your creative power and attention to detail!
that AOA tone is a nice thing to have, and man i cant wait to get into just some raw cold war style combat in this thing! Screaming over the vallies and ridgelines of syria at 500 feet, hearing the jet treamble and shake as it punches through the soundbarrier, sending a deafening boom like a giant war drum... echoing across the ground.
just jump in enigmas
@@Panther_WolfHound yes thats exactly what i meant
@@agidotexe7167 metoo
I have often thought that is exactly what the MiG21bis needs. An audo indicator of AoA
The FFB control news is music to my ears, thank you :)
Heatblur never lets us down. MS/Asobo should take that as an example. My biggest wish ever since release of the 2020 was getting FFB support...
That looks just awesome!! You, Heatblur, you have to be the one to do the F-105D…quickly, before the last pilots who flew it forget how it felt and how its systems worked.
Unfortunately, models like that take time, so it'll probably be a long wait, if they do it at all
My VPForce Rhino arrived a few weeks ago and I am EXCITED for a brand new aircraft that isn’t FBW that I’ll be able to feel through it.
wen next video?
I just watched your other videos on the F4 was simping to my friend about how much work you guys put into this, then I come back to YT and see this. I'm a beginner but if I ever want to play in a Cold War setting I'll definitely buy this module.
As one of the very lucky few with a force feedback stick (VPForce Rhino), I was incredibly excited to hear about the support for FFB in the Phantom. The Tomcat came with an amazing FFB effect set, and I suspect this will be even better.
Nice to hear, as I have one on pre-order. I can’t wait! 🥳
@@Elysian_Angel_ Need to place one as well. My Sidewinder FFB2 is old enough to drink beer in the United **bleeping** States and I want to get more precision and hats (TMWH stick is ready) at some point! :D
@@CakePrincessCelestiaif you really want to, better sign up now
The order pipeline is around 2 years or so
@@sandwich5344 Wow, thought it was about a year. Thanks. At least that gives me plenty of time to back up the money for it :)
I need that Ride of the Valkyries remix.
I agree!
Perhaps it will be on the new F4 Album? That would be cool.
@@KJK9029 perhaps!
it does sound like meteor, so I would count on it@@KJK9029
@@KJK9029 Im sure it is part of tthe new F4 album
3:22 Love the meteor soundtrack using the melody from Ride of the Valkeries for the German F-4F theme. Awesome!
Damnnnn Heatblur, can’t imagine to think what your A-6 intruder will be like.
The F-4 looks brilliant.
You guys are keeping history alive.
3:13 JASDF 302SQ F-4 final year 2019 Skin!
Absolutely stunning amount of detail!
Looks amazing, very excited to fly this legendary bird!!
Incredible!! Once again pushing beyond what we deserve in DCS
"Nothing is better than a good gun kill"
Luckily this is not the earlier Phantom variants...
Amazing work as always, looking forward to this awesome module
In that case you could still mount a gunpod
Just insane how much effort these guys put into making all this possible! 👏👏👏
Dont worry, your paying for it.....its a sales pitch
4:15 Thank you so much for Turkish Phantom skin! I will buy this module definitely.
WOW! I can't wait to wrestle with this baby! You guys make the world's best aircraft models
The detail into this plane is incredible! However the epic version of "rise of the valkyries" in the background is just as awesome!
Oh man this is great to see-The flight model is the biggest single thing for me, and as ever it looks like you're nailing it. I can't wait for this one, I'm gonna need to wrap up some projects soon so I've got the time to her what she deserves.
This looks so freaking awesome! I love the mix of "old and new" in these generation jets, a time when there could never be too much power and yet long before there were computers to handle it all. It was almost as if the engineers had this new cool toy to play with, the jet engine and wanted to explore how far and hard it could be pushed without all too much consideration around the rest of the stuff.
Looking forward to fly it!
This is going to be AMAZING! Can´t wait to fly this beauty!
This was so good I had to go watch all your other F4 videos. Genuinely can't wait for this. Also another great Meteor sound track \m/
What a work of art, Heatblur truly are the masters of their craft. Cannot wait to fly this historical masterpiece!
Gonna be revolutionary for flight simulation. Heatblur raising the bar! Love it!
Magnificent in every way!
I can't wait to test this unique flight model of the F4E and "feeling" the hold school way. Thank you for this amazing module!
Phantastic!
Oh man sooo cool I am so excited for the F-4! After years of studying the Iran-Iraq War and the Arab Israeli Wars it’s a dream come true to get an F-4E in DCS!
This is how you sell a product ladies & gents. This teases me for the Eurofighter, just by looking at how much detail and passion has been put into the F4 Phantom, my gosh, you guys nailed it. Can't wait for the Eurofighter now haha!!!
Hot 🔥🔥🔥
Stick force limit is something I recall asking about for the F-14 way back. So glad to see it implemented now!
One of the best, if not the best aircraft’s in aviation history. My favourite
Absolutely beautiful!!
Boom! Simply amazing!
Love the work on failures as well. The Tomcat really set the bar high for other modules in terms of how deep the simulation goes.
Can't. Friggin. Wait. Pre-ordered when I FIRST heard about it!!
Heatblur is knocking it out of the park! Quick question for you fine folks - are we still going to be able to see the cockpit dimensions when available? For us simpit/DIY folks those specs are a godsend. Thank you, great work, can't wait to fly this legendary bird!
Is there any for the tomcat available? The natops are not reliable and the forum regarding f14 dimensions the link does work for Cobras dimensions.
Yep! Will be made available post release. :) Just make sure to share pics!
@@HeatblurSimulations Thank you kindly - I absolutely will! Cheers!
Is the eurofighter going to be released soon after the f4?@@HeatblurSimulations

They literally define what world class is...
BRUTAL EL TRABAJO DE ESTOS SEÑORES
Amazing work guys
Been asking for this aircraft for 10 years. Thanks and yes...your welcome.
This thing looks amazing.
Awesomeness!!!! The F-4E Phantom II is truly on of the best fighter jets!!!!❤
Absolutely awesome! FYI, in one of the Vietnam fighter pilot memoirs I read, he said that at high AoA they would never use the ailerons, only rudder.
Awesome Can't Wait for release so Excided, Bring it on !!👌👌
Damn. This is beyond impressive. I need to get a suitable flight sim setup ASAP. ❤🔥
The Ride of the Valkyries Remix goes hard
So looking forward to this!
Awesome that you have included the Phantom's tendency to depart controlled flight at high AOA. I know of at least one instance in Vietnam where a pilot couldn't shake a Mig and as a last ditch effort, deliberately caused it to depart and violently tumble, forcing an overshoot and subsequently recovering and killing the Mig.
I love the f4 cause it found its way into the raf its such a beautiful machine of an aircraft
Phantom Phixer. Hearing that J-79 howl under the narration, when it was on final...goosebumps.
I can't wait for the Naval version of the F-4! I just recently read the book "TOPGUN" (the story of the real Top Gun/Navy Fighter Weapons School) by Dan Pedersen, its co-founder and former F-4 pilot.
I'm building a new PC this year and I think I'm finally gonna start to dive into DCS after years of lurking and watching DCS UA-camrs, lol. It's gonna be challenging, but fun.
The most forgotten iconic fighter of all time. Really incredible aircraft despite its shortcomings. I’m impressed by all the pilots and RIO’s that flew in these made them as combat effective as possible
awesome as always :)
This is magic! All those effects/art texturing/flight module, you guys deserve all the respect. I wished if HB will make the Mig-29 but ED toke it 😩 imagine Mig-29 by HB!
cant wait for this thing bro
Meteor rocking in the background! Hell yeah!!!
This is going to be great! Cant wait :D
Beautiful
Can't wait for the Jester episode ; it's the big frustrating and immersion-breaking feature of the F14 for me, especially during stressful parts of the flight.
Not only am I very much looking forward to this, I’m also holding out hope we get an RAF and/or FAA livery
Edit: I know the RAF and RN re-engined theirs and that would technically make them different to this version, but I still hope there will be a livery or two for them
3:27 i think i hear a valkyrie fly in that Synthesizer line :D also very fiting a german skin in the video, very good cutting :D
Bloody EPIC!..
This is NASA science! Great work!
Can't wait until the module is released!
The soundtrack sounds amazing! Also, amazing how simulated this seems, I just hope my CPU can handle all these little intricate things lol.
They don't demand a lot
Couldn't have asked for a better ending to this video
I love the Phantom in WT, one of my favorite planes, on DCS you will enjoy even more with this beautiful iron bird. Once I have a good PC, I'll switch to DCS.
Phantom Phorever!
Absolute 🔥🔥🔥
🔥🤘🏻😤🤘🏻🔥
I don't like the real jet, but exceptional job on the simulation leaves me no chance but learn and respect this bird! Well done and well presented!
Good luck to Razbam with their MiG-23 response :)))
Real jet was cool too, kinda paved the way for 4th gens with its tech, even the frame too. F15 took after the f4s wing design
PHEROCIOUS PHANTOM ♥♥♥♥
Now if we could only get ED, Heatblur, and HOTAS manufactures together, and actually make an affordable force feedback joystick. Then maybe we could actually use some of these feature. That should be a priority. Even over making more modules in my opinion. It's ridiculous that nobody has taken this on yet, and I do understand the patent stuff that's ultimately making it difficult. That's why they need to work together to solve the problem. Building a heavily modified twenty year old Microsoft force feedback stick shouldn't be the only affordable option. Am I wrong?
Winwing is pretty affordable, also there’s no way you’d make something like that affordable like do you expect someone to make no profit?
@@RW-zn8vythis guy has a brain and actually lives in this corporeal dimension. A human was finally spotted
I need this now
Can't wait to take off!!!
i just cant wait anymore
Man, this is shaping up to be one beautiful brick.
YEAHHHHH! Cant wait!
The only company I proudly preorder from....keep it up guys if the F4 needs a few more month so be it...thanks for your hard word and taking my money
Bring on the phantom!!💪🏽
WAKE UP BABE NEW PHANTOM EPISODE
My uncle used to fly the F4 in the Turkish air force. Man I’m so thrilled to get in depth knowledge from him! Can someone please recommend me a force feedback hotas system?
whoa that mig 25 at the end
