Utterly random note: Clovertalent's influencers page doesn't seem to show you there. But maybe it's a name I don't know.

I found one glitch that is very situational. I was fighting a Hinox and grabbed a weapon off of it's necklace as I attacked. the weapon was new and spawned the popup telling me about it. My weapon was hitting the Hinox at the same time and it continued to take damage while the popup was active. The Hinox died and my weapon broke when I dismissed the popup.
Oh, hitboxes stay active during dialog boxes? Good to know. I could see that being useful somewhere.
There was a similar glitch people used during a cutscene in the castle fighting one of the Blights
@@gwvaioYeah, I think it was: aim for where the blight's head will be and fire an ancient arrow just after the final blow before phase 2. The arrow's hitbox would be in the blight's head during the phase 2 cut scene causing continuous damage, and phase 2 would be over before the cut scene was even able to play out.
@@Kwauhn. I think it was the first blight not the second, I remember them shooting it just before walking into the cutscene
@@Kwauhn. no, it was shooting a normal arrow where the first blights head will be, then running to the trigger that starts the fight. During the cutscene, the first blight gets killed by the arrow and then you have to do the other three blights normally.
give it a few weeks/months and people will already find a lot of glitches
don't forget that a lot of speedrunning techniques right now have only been discovered in the last 3 years
The game came out last night. I say give it time, this will eventually be broken wide open in a similar manner to BOTW
Lol did people really think glitches wouldn't be patched on ToTK? Don't worry there will be new glitches found sooner than later. Before you know it this game will be just as broken as BoTW. Mark my words.
I mean, Botw is suuuper broken. Theres nearly 0% chance it will be THAT broken.
Anything involving the new powers will be just as glitchy as BoTW but I think most glitches related to basics like physics or inventory behavior will be dead.
Your words have been marked
Doesn't matter if they patch it if you have the cartridge version
Often, patching a glitch makes something else not work as intended
I think that it was best that the glitches were patched. Even though it would be really fun to have these glitches with in TOTK, it would make for a very bland and unoriginal speedrun that looks the same as BOTW as all without the coolness that BOTW had because none of the glitches are new. I know that TOTK has its own glitches to find and exploit that will make speed runs interesting, it’s just up to us to find them.
Honestly, I'm happy they fixed everything. It's a new challenge to find new exploits.
I don’t agree wih retroactive patching. But this is a new game, it would be stupid for them not to patch
@@someoneelse1534 They only patched one known glitch in the 1.1 update.
Whenever speedrunners are boxed in by a patch they find great new stuff. I have faith that in a month we'll have a cornucopia of new bugs that might be usable in BotW as well.
One thing that wasn't fixed is that some slopes where link wants to climb, he can still run up for a short time before starting to climb. You can then let go and run a bit more, rinse and repeat. Was more effective with whistle sprinting, but can still save time and stamina here
I feel like even if tech that's as huge as windbombing or smuggle slides is discovered, the glitchless category could be really cool. The sandbox systems in this game are so potent that pushing them to their limit might be really cool
I have a feeling this game is going to be way more fun and completely bonkers to watch than BotW speedruns.
"This game is unbreakable." - Every game just two months before it is completely broken.
I mean, I accidentally “glitched” thru a shrine on the great sky island cause i ascended thru it before it was activated 😅
Weapon sheath sprint has not been patched. It's where you tap r to pull out your weapon to cancel the run then tapping b. It's a little tricky but it does still work last I checked
Edit: They patched it in 1.1
I'm willing to bet that IST would still work in TotK if a new way to trigger it is found. It exploits a low-level, fundamental aspect of the data structure used for the game's inventory that would be nearly impossible to fix without massively reworking the entire thing.
Just need a way to overload the menu without shock arrows...
I would have been very disappointed if they didn't patch all of these. I want TotK speedruns to be unique from BotW speedruns. Now an entirely new set of glitches are out there, waiting to be discovered. Who knows what sort of insane tech we'll find?
"For reasons only people who think the triforce can be found in OOT would know"... surely you're referring the kinds of geniousses who used ACE to make that a reality?
Awesome Video and thanks for the Edutainment ❤
I'm not surprised they fixed these glitches. As the years went on, the way runners absolutely broke BOTW must've left them with a lot of egg on their face.
great vid!
I’m really looking forward to all of the glitch hunters and speed runners tearing this game apart! The glitches are there, cleaver and motivated people are going to find them! Never doubt speed runners
The thing is, people will always find a way. Trust me. Give it a few weeks before they find them.
I'm glad you're so convinced that it's an unbreakable speedrun so shortly afterwards the release, as the previous bugs got fixed?
My favorite meme is thinking that Nintendo didn't patch any of the BoTW glitches
this new title is nicer, glad i was able to catch this vid before beating the game
Even if the old broken stuff is patched this is an oppurtunity to break the game from scratch
1:37 Can you throw-sprint (Mash throw and sprint and you can also run fast while recovering stamina)? No claw grip needed, too.
No I tried
Not sure if it's a glitch but, I got 2 Epona's from separate amiibos. Currently have them both at the horse stable thingy.
I can't prove it and I haven't tried to repeat it, but I managed to cancel fall damage with my bow
Somebody has already come up with a way to launch yourself. Throw a weapon or a stick, use ultra hand to attack a big plank of wood to it, then recall it so it spins really fast with this wooden plank. It will send you far.
For some reason, I have the feeling that a glitch involving entering the swim state will be found (touching water)
TOTK is not using the same game engine as BOTW. TOTK uses the Spalt 3 and Switch Sports engine
Which means it's not that the glitches were patched. We need to find new exploits in the new engine
Thanks for specifying there are no spoilers!
"of the year."
Silksong:
My brother in Christ it's been less than 24 hours-
I give it 10 days.
For the skew glitch, what I'm hearing is that they patched the common method to achieve it, but what if theres another method? Did they actually completely fix skew, I womder?
I'm honestly really happy about this, I mean, what's the point of having a new game to speedrun if all the tricks are gonna be the same?
What the hell do people have against vinilla speedruns
Im sure the speedrunners out there will find new strats
What happened to orca-rina of time
It's definitely said at least once in this video. But shhhh, don't let anyone know.
I’m more so perplexed as to why the f hell do the trees try to kill your now?!
Remind me in one year when this video ages terribly
In my opinion is too soon to say
I think they tried to make it so you wouldn’t be able to sprint to the boss. But I think we will get down to under an hour in the next few weeks.
That they patched the shield clip is heartbreaking. I used the shield clip to get through the Master Sword Trials, because eff those in particular.
Answer after a bunch of later discoveries: Yesn't and TOTK fall damage canceling is too fiddly for my brain.
Damn, it's already been like a year of this game? Time, pls calm down.
Ngl imma miss whistle running tbh
I have a hard time believing anyone actually expected Nintendo to leave in massive glitches. That's...idiotic? It doesn't mean the game doesnt have new ways to break it though, that just takes time. It's both good and expected that none of the major glitches would still exist.
As sad as I am to see all of the glitches be patched out (can't say I'm surprised tho tbh), I'm equally excited to see what the Speedrunning Community will come up with cause those fuckers are insane when it comes to finding exploits
Bad news guys. The devs did a really good job on this game. 😂
Give the community some time to cook. They always find some way to exploit the game in order to shave off a second from a run
Curse the cliffhanger
no beating ganondorf to a pulp with a player built mecha?
Doesn't look that way, the route is alot like BOTW, get out of the tutorial and head for the end of the game.
@@Abyssoft i see
I think a big thing you missed is that this game runs on the same game engine as botw. If you had mentioned the at the beginning it would help people understand why these fixes are such a big deal
No it doesn't. Just bc s game looks the same doesn't mean it runs on the same engine
Give it time, holes will eventually be found all over the place.
W
Skip to 10:26 to see the only glitch that works. The rest have been patched out.
'Sequel using the same game engine'
Nope, ToTK is using diffrent game engine.
BoTW used Nintendo's engine called King System
Games like Animal Crossing used LunchPack
And newest games like Nintendo Switch Sports, Splatoon 3 and ToTK uses new ModuleSystem. The simplest way to recognize it for now is usage of AMD FSR 1.0 - only NSS, S3 and ToTK uses it, Nintendo didn't add FSR to neither LunchPack, nor KingSystem, nor even older JSystem
Yeah I got that detail wrong, my bad.
My childhood OoT memory was a bit different, parents took me to Wal-mart so I could personally pick up my pre-ordered copy
There is a very nice poem about this:
99 bugs in the code
99 bugs in the code
take one down, patch it around
120 bugs in the code
Tl;DW ; Literally everything has been patched out
Literally, every single thing
Bruh the game's been out barely 24 hours...
This is sad, man. nintendo freeking hates us, I swear. They are the enemies of fun it's ironic.
The speed running tech is so complex no ordinary player would encounter it but what do they do the patch it.
saying botw when breath of the wild is less syllables.
Rickrolling is and always will be my top meme
Dude they got freaking walking trees!!!
Where we going Treebeard?
Watch out, Pippin! That tree will eat you!
Not yet...
What about the moonjumping glitch does this one still work?
so totk is just patched version of botw
i like how abyssoft put normie-like background music so nerds can feel they fit into society standards 💀
you sound like prochara
heed my word, one of the most important glitches for totk will be somekind of flying machines
Someone made a flying machine out of wings to skip the tutorial, but you can't leave without activating everything so it's just like the Great Plateau.
TL;DW: Everything's patched
Apparently, TotK uses a different engine than BotW. So not necessarily patched, just need to find new glitches for the new engine
@@camwyn256 damn they could have fooled me. Still going to get it since I play botw once and tried to restart then got bored
I mean, the fact that a 40+ hour game was already beaten in 1.5 hours tells me it’s FAR from unbreakable
Not really. If you know where everything is it's entirely possible because just like BOTW you can go straight to the boss once you hit the surface and get the paraglider.
lmao but eeryone complained about pokemon which hd bugs now watch them complain about not enough bus smfh
TOTK release first day: it might be an unbreakable speedrun.
really? Let's see. I have full confidence on speedrunners and glitch hunters.
They didn't just watch speedruns to patch glitches, but gave out a hearty amount of copyright strikes to speedrunners. Smallant nearly lost his channel entirely because he got double whammied for having modded content as well.
it's day 1 bro chill
TL;DR, none of your precious speedrun glitches no longer work.
I'm pretty sure I heard that the game engine is the same engine as splatoon 3 and switch sports. Not botw
Hahaha
Honestly I'm totally ok with this.
Quit making click bait like this. Everyone says this about every game and then surprised pikachu face
lol give it a week...
Naaaah there's definitely plenty of speed tech in totk
Long story short speed runners are better at finding glitches than game testers from billion dollar corporations LOL
Well not just speed runners there millions of people who do it just for fun
"nothing is broken" _yet_
There is a dupe glitch 💀
You tried to throw shade at people who thought you could find the triforce in ocarina of Time, but then you said orcarina lmao
Links did this already (:
Sometimes glitches can be a good thing because they make a game more fun. It's disappointing when a game developer spends time and money to make a game worse.
Calling it right now, before the vid even plays- this video isn't going to age well.
Bruh nah they only just fixed the botw stuff not like nothing new will be found
What the, tf is this? The game come out last night this is like mega clickable LMAO. Just wait some time bro
Not as of right now
It’s really strange that you say “breath of the wild” but not “tears of the kingdom” it’s the same amount of syllables lol
So what is the point of a video like this when the game is barely one day old?
Biggest gaming release of the year? What about Starfield, Baldur's Gate 3, Final Fantasy 16, Diablo 4 and lots of other big games? I never understood people going crazy about Zelda games, especially the last two. I played BotW, didn't like it, never touched it again.
Then you just don't get it, sorry...
Zelda is more popular than all those games bro, obviously it's the biggest. Just because you personally don't like the game doesn't change this fact
@Isaac Steele have you not look at a single trailer bro? That would've answered you question already
@Isaac Steele well as someone who's playing the game. The game has a lot of shit to do in hyrule, the sky islands are generally used for getting the ancient materials, doing puzzles, and the dungeons, and there's a secret 3rd place I'm not going to talk about.
i hate how the games came out for less then 48 hours and you have youtubers who have lost there charm... cough cough.. stating its unbroken... sigh.. whatever happened to "never underestimating the speedrunning community?" Guess thats lost its charm too.
very clickbaity video, abyss. next time maybe dont try quite this hard, having the title be more like "trying game breaking bugs from botw in totk"
