The Eagles season literally played out like a Hollywood movie. Being batted around the year before. Then going into the new season already counted out. Then they go on an insane winning streak.. Still doubted by everyone.. Lose their starting QB at a critical game and time in the season. More doubt.. The win the Superbowl against the returning Champions who have the greatest QB in history. And they did it with their backup QB. This kinda reminds me of a real life Rocky type movie. How ironic the team is also from Philadelphia.
I'm a Patriots fan but this was probably the 2nd best SB ever. "Not for me as a Pats fan" but as a football fan, yes. Pats and Falcons was the #1. But this is a close 2nd for sure.
Only a Pats fan would think the Falcons SB was the best ever. That game couldn’t have been more dull. Neither team played well at the same time.
@@billthomas7975 You're not serious? For you to say that game was dull is a joke.
Mike E for me as a pats fan, it was dull until the 4th quarter 😂
It was a terrible game for 3 quarters. For it to be an actual “all time great” game, both teams need to play 4 quarters. Only
Pats fans think it was an all timer, let alone an actual “good” game.
i've watched so many highlights of this game and I still get goosebumps.
El Hoodanie same. I remember losing my voice at halftime 😂
I'm still afraid they are going to lose every time.
I just said this to my friend..
I get hyped all over again with every video!
El Hoodanie dillydilly
El Hoodanie Me too.
6:45 "An undrafted rookie RB, tossing to a 3rd string TE, throwing to a back up QB. There ins't a play in the playbook that illustrates what makes this Philly team special more than the Philly Special"
Sie So one of my fave parts.
Yep. Great quote that sums it up well. Love watching that play and Foles' Oscar winning performance - the way he angrily waves his RB who was "out of formation" and then walks over to angrily yell at a guard, swatting his ass - ATTRACTING the defense's attention just so when they then suddenly hike the ball to the running back and everyone starts running to the left, the defense HAS TO take their eyes OFF of Foles ... what a perfect psychological set up.
Also, gotta give more credit to that 3rd string TE - he caught a wobbly toss on the run (could easily have been fumbled) and then threw a perfect touch pass (could easily have been bad) under a lot of pressure.
Beeeeeuuuuutiful!
Cool! You can put the time and we can watch over and over again! “Philly Special”
That is a perfect way to sum up this year and this team.
Shut up, I'm not crying, you're the one who is crying! Go Eagles!
“You want Philly Philly?”
“Yeah let’s do it”
Most iconic line for the Eagles 🦅
Loved it. 👏🏾

@J Nix Just think, if they would've moved Gronkowski to the inside and Malcolm Jenkins didn't get the read he got, we could still be waiting on a Superbowl ring, and they'd be talking about how great of a comeback Brady had against the Eagles in the Superbowl. I loved this game. Hopefully we get number 2 this year.
Go Birds.
Brian Dawkins crying...man it gets to me. True eagles leyend. shouldve won one in his era. Its great he got to witness a eagles finally win one. GO EAGLES!
tomas tob they should have let him present the trophy to the team. Instead of letting a Redskin give it to them
Chris Becker I was just about to say that! He’s part of the front office now, so he gets a ring too
The best part about it, is he just got into the HOF
tomas tob B DAWKS is my all time favorite player !
B-DAW ALL TIME GREAT SAFETY! He is by far my fav eagle. So happy for him finally getting into canton and finally getting a ring as part of the eagles org.
Thought I would get sick of super bowl videos, but then I see this one and I’m in love all over again #flyeaglesfly
Rendezvous Dodado I thought I was the only one I'm obsessed
I'm still watching these highlights and finding more Eagles clips in March. the Eagles Blu Ray for Super Bowl 52 is fun to watch and has many of the same footage, and some newer clips that weren't shown before.
@Rendezvous(opener): 400th like.
My brother was a huge Eagles fan born in Philly he bleed green, we lost him last July to Cancer wish he was here for this but I know he was watching and maybe had a hand in there from up above I love and miss you Bro this was for you
Metal Dragon dang i feel for you..im an eagle fan and one of my friends was a die hard fan..cancer eventually got to him this past October...This one if for them and THE REST OF THE EAGLES FANS THAT COULDNT BE THERE WITH US AND EXPERIENCE THIS AMAZING MOMENT!
Sorry man. Great game they deserved the win. Nick Foles played amazing.

A Pats fan
I’ve been a eagles fan since 2000 and was so happy to see this win
This was for him 🙌🏼
Metal Dragon sorry
Re-watching the last 9 seconds, as an Eagles fan for my entire life, it still feels like an eternity. And the way the camera pans across the faces of my fellow fanbase... I gotta say if you haven't rode with this team through thick and thin, if you haven't lived the year after year of close but no cigar, you can't fully comprehend the heightened emotion of those last 9 seconds. Its about as close as I could physically relate to the moment before a volcano erupts... that period right before when it's just bubbling up ready to burst through. It's a feeling that I will always remember and cherish the rest of my life. This is the moment that made all those years arguing with my division rivals worth it! FLY EALGES FLY! FOREVER!
Longest nine seconds of my life. Then the ball hits the ground, and explosion. :)
Fly eagles fly
The Eagles secondary tried so hard to keep the Pats in the game by keep bouncing the ball up in the air in the end zone. Ronald Darby was the worst player on the field and he played for the Eagles.
11 months how are you now the eagles are 7 wins and zero losses
Screw the Eagles go 49ers
“An undrafted rookie RB, tossing to a 3rd string TE, throwing to a backup QB. There isn’t a play in the playbook, that illustrates what makes this Philly team special, more than the Philly Special” Still get chills #FlyEaglesFly🏆🦅🏆
I waited over 30 years as a fan to see this and it was worth it. So many great teams who fell short but we lived every second of it with them until paydirt. I'm glad millions of people became Eagles fans that season but this one was for us.
I love Carson and believe he's the best player in the NFL from the bottom of my heart but seeing Nick Foles pull this off was amazing. Nobody deserved that shot as much as Nick and he proved himself. As a fan I was heart broken when they traded Nick and to see him struggle like that was too much when I knew he was the best man for our team back then. That playoff run was true redemption for him and I hope Chip Kelly was feeling like a fool while watching it.
I'm mad they didn't mention that Trey Burton is an UNDRAFTED 3rd string TE.
trey burton’s my cousin he now starts for the bears it’s crazy, undrafted to starting
30 year giant fan, this is my second favorite super bowl td. 1, david tyree, 2 philly special, 3 fridge Perry as full back in 1986
Even though my team lost, this was still a great SuperBowl. Barely any penalties, straight up football the whole time. Eagles got revenge on the Pats and got their first ring. Well deserved
Volvatene . You are one good fan, as an eagles fan I like to see people given credit to who deserve it. Good luck to you next season
Agreed but Jenkins did cooks dirty
AmpSZero that’s a clean hit. Unfortunate he got hurt but that’s part of the game
It was disappointing to see all the cheating going on with no flags, right in front of the refs too. What are they getting paid for?
I'm with you, a New England fan but this game was just unreal good.
These mic'd up segments from the Super Bowl is the single best documentary of a single Super Bowl that I have ever seen. I can't wait to see the America's Game documentary later this year.
Aj Mattei Almost all of my favoriate teams have won a title in my lifetime except the Flyers.Eagles are my favoriate Philadelphia team and I almost cried when they won.Been waiting 25 years for this.
And this one showed Bill didn’t even care. He threw the game to get back at Brady and benched butler
I might be biased because I am an eagles fan but I think this was one of the best Super Bowls all time
I'm a Pittsburgh fan and this is my greatest super bowl so far!
Yes, this was a very very good game
@@rycriswell2326 Pittsburg is going to lose today
I know I gave up on them after 12 years no super bowl win
Super bowl 43 had a better ending. And Harrison returned a 100 yd int. That's one and this one are two great picls
Foles is a LEGEND in Philly!!!!! He’ll always be remembered
Now he sucks with the Jaguars. :(
Yeah, but Philly always gets rid of good players example Charles Barkley among others in basketball. They keep Carson Wentz who I doubt will ever take them to the playoffs, let alone to a Superbowl! So what's the use of having good players if you're only going to trade them away! The list goes on and on with good sports figures being traded in that city!!!!
@@allenmontalvo4209 And!!!!!.... Wentz gets us to the playoffs.
@@rinap5120 Thank You Rina. My father is a big Eagles fan and I was happy when they beat Brady and the Patriots in the Superbowl. I hope you know they have a rough road ahead. The Seahawks are no pushovers and if they beat them, the other contenders are powerhouses! Later Rina

One of Nick foles greatest traits in this game I think was confidence, when he goes to the sideline before the 4th and 1 play and he asks Pederson you want Philly philly and Pederson says yes you can just see the confidence oozing out of foles.
now look at him with the Jaguars LOL. Not his fault but they suck right now
@@andreypopov9053 yea we are doing better without him

Teared up when the Narrator was describing the Philly Special play, that was such a special moment in the game. They played AMAZING congrats to Nick Foles and the rest of the Eagles! Fly Eagles Fly 💚 🏈

fan since Jaws. was in Florida with a Philly friend. was firing off rounds in the air at the end of the game. BEEN A LONG TIME COMING.
Here after a BG interview. The strip sack is one of the best plays in the history of Eagles football. Iconic.
I remember everything about this game. I was in college, freshman year., sitting in a common lounge with about 80 people. All Eagles fans. The final nine seconds you’ve never seen a room more quiet, with a tension you could physically feel. When that ball clattered off the turf, the room couldn’t have been louder. I hugged and cried with people I’d never met and never saw again, but that one night we were all brothers and sisters.
One of the worst nights of my life. I haven’t spoken to someone for 6 years because of this game.
One of the greatest moments in football eagles winning The Super Bowl coming from a cowboys fan

7:04 Uncanny camera work, Foles catches the Philly Special, then the view pulls back to Belichick... like you knew it was coming... best cameramen anywhere.
Almost like they're being payed to pull off these shots. I assume they send their best camera crew to the Super Bowl.
I literally said the exact same thing before I read your post. Shooting this cinematic... while running and gunning is a special skill... #flyeaglesfly
Guys they have dozens of cameras on ALL of the key aspects of the game ALL running nonstop... Just like the NFL teams practice their routes and picks, so do the camera crews practice their skills... It's probably a standard move to capture the play, followed by a cut to either coach, if not both of them, as they are the two people you'd want to see react... even though Belichick NEVER reacts LOL, he's always got that same look on his face... (go eagles)

No he pulled it back cause there were no patriot players behind him. If he would have threw it down he would have risked giving Dorsett an easy dive TD. But I get your point nonetheless. The difference though is that Jefferey had multiple defenders near him when he did that.

Who agrees this is a top 3 football game of all time
XtremeBaller yup
XtremeBaller no not all it’s a top 50 game
Defense was non-existent. New England- Seattle was the best Super Bowl ever.
@David Rosales I agree with you that it was an atrocious call.
XtremeBaller no there has bean better then this
Brilliantly done. This game had such drama, such amazing performances on both sides of the ball. Fans of either team have never fail to give credit to the other side. Has to go down as one of the greatest super bowls of all time.
I'm not even an Eagles fan and this got me tearing up. The emotion is palpable
Didn't realize how close Dorsett came to catching the football. Patrick Robinson stopped a miracle
Almost 2.5 years later and I still get emotional about this. Fly Eagles Fly!
WuKingdom1 same
1.5 years you mean
same
2.5 years?! Are you from the future or just stupid?
@@Lanzottv Well, if you really have to ask if he's from the future then I have to ask who the stupid one is here.
Chill out, man :)
6:42 , every time I rewatch this gives me goosebumps, this game made me an Eagles fan for life ..

@Epic Sports Everyday I mean in regards to back and forth I would agree it is...
Epic Sports Everyday CBS Sports this week listed it as #3 greatest Super Bowl of all time. Yeah I’m a little biased but damn it was a good game.
Thanks
@Epic Sports Everyday top 5
Seeing Brady on his ass, looking around like a lost dog...is priceless! An image I'll never forget, as it was the moment I knew the Eagles we're gonna win their first SuperBowl in franchise history! For 13 years I've carried around the feeling I had in Jacksonville after SuperBowl 39, but as soon as the Eagles got the fumble recovery, I felt that feeling slip away! I honestly can't describe the feeling. 37 years Ive waited, and I know many eagles fans have waited a lifetime for this moment... Being able to watch this with my soon to be 8 year old son, and see the joy on his face, brought tears to my eyes. All the pain during the McNabb/Reid NFC Championship losses...attending the final game at the Vet, and having that image of Ronde walking into the endzone, seared into my brain, having been the favorite at home in multiple championship games, yet they only got it done once!!! It's been a long time coming. Finally the third time's a charm...all three were in my lifetime, and while the wait seemed like an eternity, it sure was worth it, to have the season they had, with all the injuries to start players, beating Atlanta on a defensive stand in the endzone, destroying the Vikings...which pretty much made the game a pre Superbowl party for most of the game, and finally getting into a shootout with the G.O.A.T and winning...well all I can say is EPIC STORY
I am a Cowboys fan and I could just feel the Philly vibe when they came out of the tunnel to start the game they wanted it. Good job representing the NFC east and congrats on your victory!
utdc thanks...
THis is why I cheered for Philly in the finals, no ahrd feelings for Brady or Pats, theyre amazing. But you jsut know how much this means for all the hardcore fans out there. Congrats man, really glad you got to enjoy this beautiful moment with your son :)
You and your team deserve it.The adversity your team faced with the starting QB lost for the season and the way the team rallied around Foles and the way he performed and then to go to the Championship game and beat the Mighty Patriots. It couldn't have been scripted any better. Philly nation you guys are WORLD CHAMPS!
How much horseshit did you eat after the game to celebrate?
Who here is an eagles fan that has watched this a million times?
Yup. It was wonderful seeing Brandon Graham with his helmet off doing his dance getting that sack fumble on Brady. What a wonderful play. All those years ago when Eagles fans said he was a bust and he made the biggest defensive play in Eagles playoff history (so far) and Derek Barnett who was drafted on the Phily Art Museum before the season started was able to hold onto it. What a great way to hold the lead.
It was so much fun watching that game in Phily and at one point I was stuck in the middle of Broad Street in the middle of a huge crowd shoulder to shoulder and couldn't move an inch until everyone pushed each other to go to a current of people to get on Walnut street.

This is actually my 8th and that’s not a joke

I’m a Cheifs fan not a eagles fan but I have
I need some eye bleach after watching the eagles tie to the bengals
The cinematography is just epic!!! Thanks NFL Films!!!
6:41 Chills! That is the epitome of real teamwork!
I live in New England so of course I’m a huge Pats fan. But I will say congrats to the Eagles. They were the better team and they came out on top.
As an Eagles fan all I can say is that we were probably the closest thing to the Red Sox fan base pre-2004. Absolutely tortured. This game meant everything.
4 years later and I'm still amazed my team won. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the game or go to the parade (thankful for live streaming on that one), but I can't begin to tell you how insanely happy I was the Eagles won the Super Bowl!
20:45 Dawkins in tears. Same my friend, same.
Denny Pham my favorite moment
Gave me chills
He is the reason I started cheering for the Eagles in 2003. Him and Westbrook, my favorite players.
I started crying as soon as I saw that.
Denny Pham yes man yes indeed
maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan im so happy celek got a super bowl ring!!!!! that dude´s been here in the good, the bad, the worse and the great!!!! I am so hyped for him!!!
Tuck rule didn’t save him this time
The irony
Anthony Vega you a raiders fan!? 😂
That play wasn't even close to being like the play vs the Raiders you butthurt Raiders fan!!
EXACTLY, EVER NOTICE WHEN PATS WIN ALWAYS CALL GOES THERE WAY WHEN THEY LOSE NO BAD CALLS !
joe smith no bad call? The clements TD was questionable. I don’t see how that’s a TD
Are you high he got 2 feet down and then the third was out, therefore it is a catch.
I always get goosebumps when Brady fumbles it and the eagles recover.
I’ve watched this so many times and it never gets old...still gives me goosebumps. This was the best game in Philadelphia sports history! Thank you to our magnificent underdogs for an incredible season. GO EAGLES!!!!
A Douglas vomit
I always have to smile when I see the philly special. I could see this a million times and it would give me the same smile.
Brady looks dejected ; this was one of the best supper bowls I've seen in the last 10 years, those eagles came ready for battle..
G-Man the Patriots played awful and the game wasn’t close not that great of a game.
Whiplash95 the game wasn’t that close? It came down to a last second hail mary dipshit....
John Digiacomo it was pretty much the same game as Jags vs Steelers. One team taking giant leads and the other team trying to catch up. If that’s ur thing then cool.
Whiplash95 did you watch the game? When did anyone have a “giant lead”?
Whiplash95 at no point in the game was either team up two touchdowns. And the Pats had one lead by 1 point for 1 drive.....
I come back to this every several months it’s so well done this game was just so unforgettable
July 2019...still got tears in my eyes...lol! What a game!!!
Ephraim Latson Same. Insane. Nothing like it
STILL gives me chills. I can remember that day like it was yesterday. I've been bleeding Green for 28 years and when I watch this game, which is a lot. It always gets me cutting onions.
Seeing B-Dawk tear up gets me every time.
Then they miss the 2pt attempt
I love my eagles. I have been a fan since i was 4 and im now 40.
Right there with you my friend!
I was 11 living in Orange County New York when I started watching football. I had a satellite dish which was much different than having one now so I could watch any game. With all those options it was an easy choice with Randall Cunningham and Reggie White.
Hell yeah
Hell YeAh fly eagles fly baby!! It’s gonna be a great season this year!! Be ready for a major run
I love my Cowboys
Who loves the fact that tom brady couldnt catch that and the coach was like suck on the philly special tom
The philly special was an illegal formation 😂😂😂 so suck on that
I think 2 plays before this play Brady took a shot to the ribs, the play when Cook was knocked out of the game. Looked like Brady had a hard time extending his arms. Nolan, suck on this!!
@@scrapplepig I'm not even a patriots fan lmao😂😂😂😂😂
I start tearing up when the narrator said “an undrafted rookie running back, to a 3rd string tight end, to a backup quarterback
@@nolanmarx3693 Little late, but it’s in the pistol, philly formation. I thought the same thing too until I researched it a bit.
Im a patriots fan but till this day i get chills watching this video it was an amazing game
“Ahh thats a good throw though”-deon lewis
Patriots are my least my favorite team because they stomped on the falcons but im not gonna lie deon lewis super good sportsmanship right there
@Imgay Imgay that's not a bandwagon
Lucky Bruh you can’t like the steelers and the patriots at the same time... get lost.
Zach Ertz’s game winning TD is still very very iconic
Side note. I absolutely love how Pederson just stares at Nick Foles when he says "So wuddya wanna do? Philly Special?"
He had that look like "That's a stupid-- Actually wait a minute.. that's brilliant." And instead says "Yeah let's do it."
Even if they weren't the Eagles I love this squad and staff.
He actually said "Philly Philly" to Pederson and "Philly Special" in the huddle. But yeah just so awesome how that play was called.
Rick Main it's the same play just called different between the sidelines and huddle
I realize that I was just pointing out the quote by Mykal was wrong
Mykal Ridikulus I don't agree that the look initially reflected that Pederson thought the call was stupid. I took it that Pederson was initially stunned at what Noles was proposing - because Pederson likely had not (at least yet) even considered the play - and because it was THE damndest perfect play to run. That was a look, from start to finish, that said, "Damn, Foles - WHO ARE YOU DURING THESE PLAYOFFS?"
I'm surprised Brandon Cooks woke up from that Jenkins hit. Broke my heart to see Jenkins go, but I'm happy he's back in NO. Jenkins was so great for Philly, a true leader for the defense and the team as a whole.
I love the way this referee kept his cool for such a game impacting call. He just used reason and non nonchalantly moved past the moment. lol
Every time I watch this it brings tears to my eyes. Fly Eagles Fly!
the image from 7:07 to 7:11 says it all. The look that Belichick gave the other sideline after the Philly Special fourth down TD. The Patriots were OUT COACHED more than they were outplayed. Pederson was aggressive and gambled more than once, believed in his players and they executed. ON OFFENSE. The Patriots ? ........ The coach benched a Superbowl hero from 3 season past and a popular team-mate and starting cornerback. He didn't BELIEVE in the player and made it hard for his defense to stop what was a great offense in a shoot out.
Congrats to the Eagles from a Patriots fan. Your coach did it.
Belicheck was not outcoached. You are not a patriots fan
I wonder what Butler did for belichick not to play him in the biggest game of the year..
King Bradberry that's your option just like others who say he was
As a Pats fan and a huge Tom Brady fan, this loss hurt the least. The Eagles just flat-out earned this Super Bowl. You have to tip your hat to them.
The confidence in the defensive players before they went back out on the field and caused Tom Brady to fumble near the end of the game almost gave me chills. Those dudes had victory in their eyes. Fantastic game!
What are you talking about? As a pats fan living by Philly this loss pisses me off the most of all because bill sabotaged his team by benching Butler. They needed one god damn stop, and they had their starting corner on the bench the entire game. And now I get to hear Philly fans obnoxiously talk about this game all the time to this day.
