I watch a ton of UA-camrs to learn as much as I can about bbq and cooking. And there are channels I keep going back to. But it’s rare for me to subscribe, I just don’t want things too cluttered. But you have won me over. One of the best, if not best, channels out there. Please don’t ever quit. And thank you for all you’ve taught us.
I watched this video countless times throughout the year waiting for today Thanksgiving 2024. I also watched the other turkey videos Chud did in later years but this was the one I wanted to master. I conquered Thanksgiving. The turkey was delicious. I give thanks for Chud’s videos !
Made the turkey, gravy and dressing, family went crazy, love every bite. You have the best recipes and channel ever. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance.
Did my first Turkey with your recipe ! I was happy to hear all the compliments from my guests: "the best turkey I have ever eaten in my life" I'm frome Belgium and we don't have a Thanskgiving tradition but now i will do it each year only to grab a bite of this fabulous turkey ! Thanks for the inspiration !
"There's a snake in my boot" and "Boot Snake!" is the best moment in any of his videos and it always makes me smile. Love your stuff, Happy Chudsgiving!
Chudsgiving was great. I have tried lots of wet brines, and bacon wrapping but never ended up with such a juicy tender turkey following Chud's advice, I even followed his gravy recipe everyone at the Thanksgiving table was impressed and got compliments, This is the best Turkey I ever have had, I even said the same and I usually don't comment on my smoked meats. This will be my go to smoked Turkey recipe. I have to try making the bacon dressing for sure.
Made it today. This is the way to go. The turkey was perfect and juicy and the gravy was amazing. Rave reviews from all of our guests. Keep them coming!
Your methods and humor really crack me up. Reminds me of the time I took a heat gun with me to reheat precooked bacon 🥓 while staying in a hotel at Lake Mead.
Everything was looking outstanding. However making a killer cranberry sauce takes very little time. I realize video length can be an issue but I think most of us agree that we need more Chud!
I've rocked a turkey breast in my Weber more than once on Thanksgiving. Brined it overnight, smoked it for about 4 hours or so to temp. Gives you time to make cranberry sauce, sourdough sage stuffing and fire roasted poblano and cheddar mashed potatoes. Smoke roast the acorn squash while the turkey rests, uncork a few good bottles of vino and Bob's your uncle. Happy Thanksgiving!
I wish I could do that. I smoke and grill but I think you covered so many aspects of the Thanks Giving Turkey that I don't think about. I paid attention to this video. Thank you...and your lovely wife.
Bro! I am picky about gravy but you take it to another level! I am so impressed! I think I will try a spatchcock bird for Thanksgiving this year! Bravo!
Been dry brining and spatchcocking my turkey for several years now, will not go back to the oven. And like you said the homemade stock from the turkey parts makes the best gravy. Enjoy your videos
I know this is almost a year later, but I loved this video. Everything looks just so good. I'm going to practice smoke a turkey in 3 days (11/5/21) and hope it turns out half as good.
I watch this video every year. It’s probably my fave of all of the Chud Vids. “And I don’t want to hear any of that ‘It’s technically dressing shit!’” Kills me. 😂
You cooked tf outta that turkey!!!! My husband grills as much as you and we watch your channel together. I legit HATE turkey, but I just asked him to make us one for the upcoming holidays. You’re killing it!!!
I am happy I came across your channel. I have recently entered the world of smoking and have learned an incredible amount from your channel. This specific video will be my guide this Thanksgiving to see what I can really do. Keep 'em coming and thank you for all your knowledge!
Adding to the must-try cooking recipes!!! Thanks, Bradley for all you do making it look possible to cook these wonderful recipes for us at-home "chefs"!!! :) Cheers!!!
Dude...I really njoyed this video you are funny as f#@!...😂😂 . Although it seemed to be more work than I'm willing to do the turkey looked really good and may try the dry brine. Thx for sharing...👍
Yas! Great stuff (ing) as usual. Love the ingredient shout outs to chef John and JW. Did I heard a brief Gordon Ramsey impression? Gelatinized stock is legit. And that hockey puck stock reduction, check mate. Not as in chess, but as in a hockey check the mate into the boards, bc that was pucking beautiful. Great job teaching people bro 👍✌️
Smoked the turkey exactly this way this year and it turned out excellently delicious! Took so much less time compared to past turkey smokes I've done, too. Thanks!
I don't understand how this channel only has 31k subscribers ... It's quality content and is very entertaining. I subscribed and am going through all of his videos. Keep up the good work, I love it!
This video was a Virtuoso! As a pro cook I have to say Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I just started dipping into BBQ. Thanks to Covid. 😂 now I’m more excited to use all these tips that I will definitely do. Thanks Man 🤘🏽
Thanks for another excellent video. Just spatchcocked my turkey and its dry brining until it hits smoke on Thanksgiving. Cant wait to see how it comes out. Have been a fan of the dry brine process for a while, steaks, chicken all come out excellent. Have some smoked chicken stock i made last week, pared with the roasted turkey parts it will be even better. Thanks
Best BBQ channel hands down. Don’t quit.
Agreed!
I think there are some other very worthy BBQ channels. I would prefer to think of the “Top 5” and include him with the other worthies.
HowToBBQright is the best
@@girlgonewisej shout out to Smokin” Joe BBQ. Tommy at ATBBQ is great too. Love me some Eric Gephardt at Kamado Joe.
It's good, but you might also want to check out Mad Scientist BBQ ...

Wow that all looked amazing!
(Except the egg shell, and the package of spices, for the bread cubes! Ha ha)
I need to try making this!
I noticed both of those as well, I hope that was intentional lol...
Made the turkey, gravy and dressing, family went crazy, love every bite. You have the best recipes and channel ever. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance.

Finally, someone I can take seriously with grills that look like mine. Great info. TY
I have watched a bunch of smoked turkey videos. This one by far the best I’ve seen. Will be doing this method this year.
My favourite video so far, so many good things to make and learn and have fun with! Friends, food, learning!
Made it today. This is the way to go. The turkey was perfect and juicy and the gravy was amazing. Rave reviews from all of our guests. Keep them coming!
I know I’m a year late, but if u remember, did u put butter on it? And was it crispy?
@@angelvaldovinos4123 I did and it was amazing. This was a great method

Bradley, can you make a good Texas chili? I would like to see that!
He can, I’ve seen it!
This man is an artist. This is what Starry Night would be like if we could eat it.
Looks amazing. 18 sticks of butter weren't harmed in the making of this video.
Everything you made on this video looks amazing. Keep on cooking, keep posting videos.
I swear that is the best looking turkey I have ever seen
Everything was looking outstanding. However making a killer cranberry sauce takes very little time. I realize video length can be an issue but I think most of us agree that we need more Chud!
Maybe a follow-up video to make cranberry sauce, roast Brussels sprouts, green bean casserole....
Getting ready for year three of following this video exactly. Best Thanksgiving ever.
Just started smoking, and your videos have been super informative! Also hilarious! Keep up the awesome work!

14:14 eggshell 💀
Yes and there was another object that fell into the bowl as he was dumping the bread crumbs...😯😂
@@bigstevessmokemchokembbq8746 between the eggshell and the paper that was in the bread crumbs, there is plenty of calcium and fiber.
@@craigluhr7243 🤣🤣🤣
Pretty sure he got the paper, but he missed the shell for sure.
@@scottdurning4251 yeah pretty sure he did but that egg cracking trick backfired and a lucky person gonna get some eggshell surprise
Another great video. I watch with the kids, they love the “silly guy.” Although, my wife was wondering why they kept saying, “spatchCOCK!” 😂
Happy Thanksgiving Chud Family! Another great video man. Only you can make all those stock bones and vegetables look that good.

I seen 4x where you could’ve pulled it out.

That dry brine really got that skin a head start.
Tried the dry brining yesterday for the first time because of this video (and spatchcocked it of course)...dry brining definitely the way to go!
Dude! You are a drummer! No doubt!
Recent subscriber pouring through allllllll your videos! Cool shot around the 14m mark of your doing some veg prep as the bacon renders.
Love your channel. I'm a pretty good amateur, but have learned a boat load.
Damn bacon stuffing! I never thought of that. I have to try this now!
