If you really bought DX and CP for your KIDS, you're pretty much the best dad in the whole universe. :D But man, for anyone reading this, don't think Reface series are toys for kids. Don't judge the book by it's cover. They're very well built and they're super powerful and great sounding instruments. I'd go as far as saying, that DX is easily one of the most underrated synths out there atm.

Maybe you can even make a CD or something and sell your whole set. What do I have to do to get a copy of TheDoors?

Great demo! I'm looking into a reface but not sure on which. Does the patch library stay on your phone without having to connect to internet or do you always need a connection? Also. Can you connect mid with a usb rather than using a midi-out? These answers would be greatly appreciated because i'll be able to better understand the playability! thanks in advanced!

I'm sure you already did the decision, but I still want to chime in my opinion, in case someone in similar situation reads this. First of all DX is a FM synth, basically a quite different instrument than let's say Microbrute, which is analog. DX is also polyphonic (8 sounds), where as Microbrute is Monophonic. So the differences are quite huge. In a perfect situation you'd be wondering questions like "should I get DX or Digitone?" and "should I get Microbrute, Monologue or Bass Station 2?" and perhaps something along the lines of "should I get Minilogue, Minilogue Xd, DeepMind 6 or perhaps Reface CS" and so on. And eventually trying to build that way a versatile arsenal, where every device you've bought compliments each other. And same with effects.

I don't think you can. But reface CP has a hidden acoustic piano. It is not quite as high quality as the other sounds on the CP though.
