David Lindley once said that listening to JB's music was getting a punch in the stomach. This song is powerful and, it seems, prophetic. It doesn't get much better than this. Thank you for posting.

Even more prophetic now, global warming. David has passed from long CoVid complications

Rest in Peace, David Lindley (March 21, 1944 - March 3, 2023). Now you play with the angels.

Looking for examples to remember the great David Lindley by. This is the finest I’ve found so far. He really uncorks it at the end. Wow, just beautiful.

I love how he just throws in a few bars of Both Sides Now in his solo to finish out the song. Man, I'm gonna miss that guy.

This song shakes you to the core. I saw him do a great rendition in Boston in 1980. I could not sit down.

This song really has stood the test of time, as have so many of his best songs. I've seen him in concert a few times over the years & hope to again later this year.

Song gave me the "chills," back then and even to this day. Prophecy in it's finest form, and still to appropriate to this day.

hmm, 1976...Jackson has that "ROAD LOOK' in his eyes. They where tired and strung out. I think this was about the time David Lindley said I need a break., and we didn't see him for 25 yrs.

If Browne had published the lyrics of the Late For The Sky album as poetry instead of song he would have won a Pulitzer for them.

David Lindley was never strung out, and he didn't disappear for 25 years, either.

Jakcson would have never been the star he was with Dave Lindley. His guitar and violin work is second to none.

Too slow. The No Nukes live concert from 1979 is the only version worth listening to.
