She also is very educated, learns as she goes, & passes on her knowledge to us. Great DIYer. Loves historical sites which is very informative. I have been following Lex and Riot for awhile and actually inspired me as well to purchase a 7x14 cargo trailer, camper conversion. I also work online so I am about to hit the road here soon and help families that are in need.
I teach on line for now. Trying to figure out how I can continue that after COVID. I think I would need to stay local enough in case I need to go into work for a meeting.

I had seen Lex and Riot's Bob Wells interview way back when with even 1/2 the stuff she shows in this video (I think she had her twin bed & desk only as furniture back then)...I love her simplistic setup back then and love it now. Just what she needs and enough room in the trailer to stand up and walk around. Excellent interview.

i love the tour of your house. the dimensions are really close to my trailer that is not finished yet. still in the planning stages. i can see how you do things and it gives me a really good idea of what i can do. yours is 6 X 12 mine is 5.6 X 13.5. the width your have and utilize is important to me for livability options

I’m glad you care so much for your dog! Our dogs have always eaten raw, and I would never change that. Having a refrigerator to keep their raw food frozen until they eat it is essential for any trailer or RV I might have.
I’m deeply sorry for the flood you had. I had a similar situation and it was pretty devastating. I’m with you that I love being off the grid as much as possible! That’s the dream for me. I live with extremely small amounts of items as I realized what I needed was just what earth provides. I love the trailer! My iPad and my backpack are pretty much all I got. I wish I could do something like this.

Love the single bed.......some of the other cargo trailer or van conversions have king size beds, taking up 75% of the space.........just the extra walk through space will make a big difference....hitting the road full time should be about compromises, not emulating airbnb accommodations
You could fairly easily add 3 more solar panels, up to 5 without having to place any on those roof extension visible in black at 2:38 (one with a fan and the other to the right of that one).
Try the Patriot power system it is very simple to use- it has 1800 watts+ they sell extra things like emergency food, small hand held juice blenders and other interesting things! Also it comes ready to use when you take it out of the box- the solar system!
I have the blender. It was an impulse buy. I thought I’d make margaritas while camping. I haven’t used it and it’s been like two years lmao. Everyone makes fun of me when they see it cause it’s still on the box in my camping tote. 😂.
I think the part that stuck with me the most with her trailer conversion was how important it was for her to maintain weight distribution. She keeps it simple because that's her way, what would you do differently if you had a trailer?

Weight is always an issue but with what her tow vehicle is and what her trailer is there's isn't an issue at all. I have a 6x12 converted Cargo also and pull with an 2006 standard tranny Hummer H3 I have to be very concerned with weight ,I live by..if I bring something new in something old goes out. Great video.

Great video. Why don't you add 2 more solar panels to the top of your pickup's camper shell for additional power? Maybe get 1 or more Lithium Ion Phosphate batteries (Battleborn equivalent or better) as well. Long term, your power will cost only a third as much.

Of course I should have realized it when I heard that new phrase that I liked, "I eat to live, not live to eat". I'm trying to regain that sensibility, but it does make a difference once you become what the US government officially terms an "Elder" (at age 60). May be subconscious, cuz I scoff at the notion regularly, but....I appreciate your vitality and you inspire me with your easy peezee fun n functional human-ness. I'm intimidated at having to wire an electrical system if I need one in addition to an EcoFlow Delta, would be great to see a video dedicated to the most simple wiring like was used in this.

I'm leaning more towards a 30 amp since most RV parks use them. Why did you get a 15amp? I realize we can get adapters but I don't know if it's better to go from 15 to 30 or visa versa? Any input is much appreciated.
She uses a lower Amperage because she doesn’t use as much appliances as the normal person. If you plan on using a microwave, coffee maker, etc… then definitely go with the 30-50A shore power. If you go 15 and use an adapter for 30 and plan on running high continuous wattage appliances, you’ll burn through all your wire very quickly and it can be extremely hazardous. Hope this helps.

@@artest7 you should bear in mind that most RV parks do not accept cargo trailer conversion campers. Their insurance will not allow them to let you stay there. I would not plan on RV parks as a go to with the cargo trailer.

@@artest7 you should bear in mind that most RV parks do not accept cargo trailer conversion campers. Their insurance will not allow them to let you stay there. I would not plan on RV parks as a go to with the cargo trailer.
