Man they poured so much money into covers back in the day! At least this story sounds less creepy, although the name change is confusing. The bookshelves will be amazing once they’re finished! That cover is everything and Pino knows how to do a fabulous stepback! Too bad publishers stopped putting step backs in historical romances. They just gave the book a little something extra!! ❄️☃️
Oh Paige, I wholeheartedly agree with everything you just said. I believe Eloisa James is heading the charge to bring stepbacks back! I've recently seen some stepbacks in contemporary romance. Fingers crossed that it comes back in historicals ASAP!! 😍
My fingers are crossed!! I didn’t know Eloisa James was trying to get publishers to bring them back! So glad the authors want them back just as much as the readers. How about publishers add a step back to all romance novels? Ok…that may be a little greedy but at least bring them back to the historicals for starters. Hope you’re having a great weekend Bea!😊

Love the dresses in this step back. Now this sounds like the typical romance novel. She comes from extreme poverty so she sets her sights on Brent the son of a silver baron. That fails so all she has left is revenge (and her daughter!) Then along comes Grey the miner and Simon her childhood friend, who will win her heart? ❄🌨❄⛄
