I have just placed my votes. Picking my top 3, and my 10th place stepbacks was relatively easy, and then I became more indecisive as I went along, lol! I really enjoyed watching all the stepback stories this summer. I loved your sense of humour, learning more about the artists, and hearing the dodgy Coulter plot lines 😂. I am curious as to where these stepback will each place in the top 10 and look forward to finding out.❤

So is it too hot for a shirt and pants or is it so cold that one needs a fur lined loin cloth and boots? 🤣 I'm not complaining, just curious 🤣

I feel like he should be draped in a wolfskin cloak; it just seems a bit chilly to be going around in a loincloth, lol. I know the Vikings did invade Ireland - that is an Irish first name, which means wolf and a Scottish surname with a hound element to it, so Lord of the Wolves seems an appropriate title for the book. The artwork is beautiful, as is the cover and bookmark and it gives me 'Book of Kells' vibes. Wondering what his background story is.😊

Step back is ok but I think the story may drag on?🤔 (Of all things I think it's odd to only show his one boot? LOL) He marries her at 13 to save the inheritance. She is sent off to a convent/priory in Ireland because Conar is half Viking/Irish. There are years of her fighting to get out of the marriage (I fear most of the book) but then love conquers all at the end??🤔 Hope things get better for your mother!

Have you ever read the series called “Savage Destiny”by Rosanne Bittner? That series was so good and book 6 “Meet the New Dawn”made me cry through most of the book…that book killed me! Great author Rosanne Bittner! 👒📗💚

🌈 An elopement and a 👻, wow, sounds like one of Coulter's more readable plots. 😂. She looks a bit haughty here, and the handome hero looks as if he is amused by her remarks. Maybe she is discussing the ghost with him. Loved the cliff notes titles ❤

🌈 lovely stepback but I got worried there when you said she was 15. Thank goodness she's (slightly) older but not the worst Catherine Coulter story we've heard. The other book sounded like a much better story though.

Love a Quick-off! Reckless does have the edge 😉🗡 Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle/Jayne Ann Krentz is one of my favorite authors. She was interviewed by Fated Mates Podcast as one of the Trailblazers (Posted in Jan 2022). Jayne is credited with writing one of the first futuristic romances. You might enjoy her Harmony series. Jayne has stated her core element is trust. In most of her romances, there is no third act breakup; rather the couple works together to defeat the villain.

Love both of these, but I think Reckless has the edge.🗡
