Well finally watched The Empress and WOW what cinematography! and why did Johannes Nussbaum have to be so good as Maximilian that I didn't care if he managed to overthrow the Emperor 🤣 Historical accuracy out the window haha
I love how they both see each other, how they both are deemed crazy, not worthy, trapped in the walls of the castle and in that sadness they seek each other out. Yet both gravitate towards the restrictions, the rules despite their need to break out of them.
Now I got Maximilian outta my system will focus on Elisabeth and Franz next

Not sure about that. They get along so well cause they're similar, usually that's not the best for relationships. Like, good for being besties, but not necessarily lovers (tho it's possible).
Like what Katniss said about Peeta, someone has to be the calm while her fire is raging. Same with Elisabeth and Franz.

@@EmmarainePinkExcept that Franz and Elizabeth are not really in a context where their differences can be a truly positive influence. In the end, Elizabeth suffocates. It's something that has always participated somewhere in each adaptation to the beauty of their relationship. But putting another man who better matches in terms of temperament to Elizabeth who loves her and for whom she also seems to have ambiguous feelings changes the dynamic with Franz in a really not great light...

I truly love their moments more than with Franz...My fav scene is when he asks her to leave with him...I hope they share more moments in Season 2 though i doubt it☹️

I am pretty sure that's her painting in the ring he has. When Sisi tells him he doesn't know what love is or something like that he looks sad, because he is probably remembering her. That's how I interpreted it at least!
