I had to re-upload this because the first time there was no audio for the last 5 minutes. Anyone else have any opinions on big band swing jazz? www.patreon.com/any_austin
Dude I love this series! I'd love to see more of you guys collabing on this kind of thing again! I feel like you both complement each other well, and the dirt cheap games just lend themselves to some hilarious viewing that is also chill easy watching.
Hey Austin, You may not know me, but I want to say that I've been watching you for around a decade now. I remember getting home from school and getting excited to watch your Eggbusters videos on one of my favourite games, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I want to thank you for giving me an amazing childhood, and continuing to upload videos despite the fact that you may not get as many views anymore. I really love your channel, and I hope to see more from it. Thank you.
Your comment unlocked memories for me. I just found Austin's channel recently (or at least I thought I'd just found it) but after reading your comment and looking at his oldest videos I realized that I'd watched his channel before. A LONG time ago when I also was getting home from school. I used to also watch his Eggbusters videos! That's honestly kind of wild to have found his channel again like a full decade later and to have not realized at first. :) thanks for your comment! I also really like how his content has evolved. He has a great sense a humor.
I think the reason i like both these channels so much is because of how genuine they both seem, like nobody is trying to be over the top and excited for no reason. It just feels like hanging out with friends and its very comforting
"I don't know the overlap between Austin viewers and project runway enjoyers.." Was not expecting to be called out so thoroughly in this video about $2 games
He found the girl version of himself, they have same twisted nihilism and slightly played up quirkiness and taste in ugly, bad games. The original version's audio cut out at the perfect ending point. Finding out girls can poop is something you really need to decompress from.
I just LOVE how that horror game really commits to the oldschool graphics bit with all the blurry and poorly uv-mapped textures. One 16x16 texture stretched across an entire wall really gives that 90s vibe.
the back-to-back mention of those Nancy Drew games affected me like a sleeper agent hearing their activation phrase - LOVE those games from my childhood
this was so good! It was really cool to have both of you guys commenting back and forth like this rather than doing completely separate segments. I would love if you made another one of these together!
I've watched your content for a long, long time at this point from old Eggbusters content to the let's play channel with Aysha, your (not) mom, to this. Just wanted to say that the content has always been fantastic and I've loved your personality and sense of humour for as long as I've watched. I'm glad you're branching out and making content like this because it's good fun and interesting. Eggbusters was of course, great, but this is fantastic too. Every video you upload puts a smile on my face. Thank you very much.
I love the longer videos, please (if the algorithm allows) continue making these near 30 minute videos. I love watching your vids on my break and I am always wanting more of your thoughts on these games, places, skyboxes, etc.
Hey Austin! If you have a collab video in the work, can we get a collab with Aysha again? Would love to see you two together again like old times. The nostalgia from that! uh put that in my veins!
Wow, she's so pretty and her voice is so calming. ^^ From the looks of it, her content is right up my alley. Thanks for doing the neat collab and introducing a really cool creator!
This was a fun vid! The collaboration worked really well, you edited in alternating perspectives, weaving together like points, really well! And Mem is real cool :) I still like these 2$ reviews, fun little things to experience and relate to, both for good and bad
I played Pendula Swing on PC and Memoria is right, it worked well there. I really liked it, but it is similar to Disco Elysium. There's no combat, it's story based. You really have to be okay with lots of reading and no fighting to enjoy it.
Great video as always. I was pleasantly surprised that you were doing a collaboration. Feels like ages since we've seen anyone but you on the channel. Keep up the great work.
That lantern gives me the same vibes as the nipple ring of the fat green dudes in Morrowind... that thing probably has thousands of polygons, while at the same time the dude's feet are just three triangles...
this was fun. If i sent you $50 to blow on $2 games, would make another of these, but like, two hours long? what if you were only supposed to by 12 games and the rest was a tip?
18:25 this is like necroing or whatever but a lot of 90s shooters diidnt have vertical aiming so that would actually make the game more like a 90s shooter so shes onto something without knowing the lore
I love the contrast between you and Memoria. I actually might check out her channel too because she has a really soothing voice and way of speaking. Also, never would have guessed in a million years you're from New Orleans.
If the jazz is making you want to swing your shoulders, it's not jazz, it's swing. Big band jazz does not necessarily move that way. It can do, but typically doesn't. Sincerely, someone who has attended big band jazz performances.
Bro, literally “watching” this video, cooking some fried rice and listening to big band jazz…. You know, you may not like it, but it suits you. You pretty much are a big band jazz production. A little out of key, but consistent, and you dont realize you were bored till its over.
How is Any Austin not one of the biggest video game UA-camrs? This dudes humor is great and the hyper specific subjects involving video games tickles a specific autistic section of my brain. Memoria is rad too, these two UA-camrs make for the perfect series.
I love the way your videos work. I feel like you emulate Joe Pera in a way. I also love when you verbally take someone on a journey by presenting something politely, like when you put your music overtop the game. I would like to see more gentle content in general. Maybe videos rambling about what you think about simple things like seasons changing or best open fire cooking foods or which north american location has the nicest landscape
I paused the video with you on camera in your room at one point, and it took me a surprising amount of time to recognize the stain or paint above the light switch wasn't a smudge on my monitor after I couldn't seem to clean it.
I'm over here like, a week ago I finished reading Danny Man's Infernieland and now working on Danny Man's Purgieland. So yeah, the poetry is from Dante's Inferno.
This video was a blast. Lo-fi N64-style horror games can definitely be hit or miss, but it's always good when they evoke that just-good-enough ethos. I feel like a lot of games I played growing up were like that, and I filled in the gaps with my imagination. Thank you for continuing to make videos, and thanks for making music too.
I'm just discovering this today, and this was very fun. Please do more of this, and also do more collabs with Memoria she's great at commenting stuff. Cheers from France.
I love you Austin. Your content is so excellent and always a surprise. I find a new appreciation for parts of games bc of your videos and I love that you don’t do adds. It’s very admirable. Keep up the good work! You got this!!
One person is goofy, occasionally funny, light hearted (doesn’t give af) and random, one person is dry, serious and political. Quite a contrast in creators lol
So... the opposite of uncanny valley. Canny peak? Just enough information to recognise what something's supposed to be, but no more? Mem's point about how the game would be easier without a Y axis is an interesting one because the earliest 3D shooters also didn't have a Y axis. Perhaps Phlegethon should have leant into that 90s shooter aesthetic a little bit harder... Anyway, fun video, keep making stuff like it!
I had to re-upload this because the first time there was no audio for the last 5 minutes.
Anyone else have any opinions on big band swing jazz?

As someone who unironically enjoys the Werehog Battle Theme from Sonic Unleashed, that probably says everything in and of itself.
I have no opinions on big band swing jazz, but I just want you to know that I would if you became a big band swing jazz, Austin
the silent 5 minutes were somehow still quite enjoyable
Big band swing jazz is ur first bad take. Music should make u want to move ur arms like that and I will die on this hill.
oh my gosh finally someone shares my opinion! jazz can be so obnoxious
"It's racism but it's goblins instead of women"
Or something
women are a race?
@@jamesdrummond7684 Obviously, how else do they have boobs and we have dicks? they look nothing like us!
@@jamesdrummond7684 Yeah. The human race.
I absolutely fucking lost it at this. The "...or whatever" really fuckin sealed the punchline
i will repeat my comment from the earlier upload which was that this is both swag and epic (exclamation point x 5)
Thank Austin for your new subscriber who found ya from his channel.
Y'all rock.
You all are both at your best in these collabs
If you liked the kinda vague levels you’d probably love the original Quake, it’s full of that stuff (and is actually a good game too)
Dude I love this series! I'd love to see more of you guys collabing on this kind of thing again! I feel like you both complement each other well, and the dirt cheap games just lend themselves to some hilarious viewing that is also chill easy watching.
These collaboration videos are great and thank you for sharing your entertaining collaborative comedy style with the world! 🔮🙂
I like this lady's spaced out Bjork ASMR voice, it's a good match to the guy's monotone thousand-yard-stare voice
He’s like a mellow Scott the woz, that isn’t going nuts.
I don't think you know what monotone means. It has plenty of inflection. her voice is more monotone than his
@ShawnRaz87 100% - I think maybe he's trying to refer to his deadpan approach to humor or something
Hey Austin,

Thank you.
Oh shit until I read your comment I did not realize I'm watching the same eggbusters fella that I used to watch years ago
@@Snolferd I rediscovered him because of skybox appreciation, and i had the exact same reaction as you funny.
It's probably only been around 6 years for me, but I feel similarly. Thank you Austin!
This guy makes so much more money from Patrons it's not even funny. You're highly deluded.
Your comment unlocked memories for me. 7:20 had me rolling "the vibes are *off*" here as they robotically dance like zombies with wailing "jazz" in the background.
lmao sammmme
I just watched this n scrolled down to comment it as well cuz it has me crying
Going from "Oh no the environment" to "FUCK THE EARTH" made me wheeze.
16:57 - "Is _this_ what was happening in the '90s?"
Literally flawless line and delivery.
I think the reason i like both these channels so much is because of how genuine they both seem, like nobody is trying to be over the top and excited for no reason. It just feels like hanging out with friends and its very comforting
I gotta say, I loved this format, two persons playing the same game and sharing their thoughts.
"I don't know the overlap between Austin viewers and project runway enjoyers.."

The Cthulhu guy, HR Puffenstuff. A legendary writer indeed. I love Puffenstuffian type worlds and creatures in games.
14:20: No one really cared about the lamp, it's that someone paid for a (completely out of place) asset.
So called free thinkers when somebody coughs

hahaha ok I genuinely giggled out loud when you sync'd with Mem thanking yourself and went back to listen again
Ah yes, my favorite cosmic horror writer, H.R. puffinstuff
I'm gonna buy phlegethon, rare to see a game use its own limits so perfectly to create such deep atmosphere

Bring Mem back into more videos. Both of your energies combined into some .. I can't even summon the words to describe it. But I'm here for it.
the video was great until you badmouthed big band jazz, now I'm sobbing with my Duke Ellington portrait in hand.
This was a fun vid! The collaboration worked really well, you edited in alternating perspectives, weaving together like points, really well! And Mem is real cool :)

I like, want more

Sorry Austin, you lost me at "Big band jazz is annoying." Out.
I liked the bit where Austin was getting them zombie to his funky music...it was interesting and made me happy
I love all your videos man. you two are friend goals
Hi, this is a v- video and I want more of it. I liked it.
Here's a comment for your enjoyment. Have fun on the company bathroom!
my fav bit is when you spent a minute trying to talk professionally about the pipe design
and yes I used to be a project runway enjoyer
First game looks like a really uninteresting and heavy handed version of Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Love you the most, buddy. Still one of my favorite content creators. Hope you never stop.
A great video to watch while kicking back in the ol' bathing barrel.
Quake speedrunners basically beat the game as pacifist as possible, they're so fast. It's very common good strategy in old FPS.
I know this is a 2yo vid, but jfc that dial tone is maddening man
Ok, you need to do a funhaus (Inside gaming) style gameplay whit Mem, and start a series of couch gameplay
Why Mem is so cute... I am not complaining, I am just really lonely I guess...
I like this video, it's neat to see these random games I'll never play and hear your thoughts on it
AUSTIN PLEASE PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT NANCY DREW GAMES

this was fun. If i sent you $50 to blow on $2 games, would make another of these, but like, two hours long? what if you were only supposed to by 12 games and the rest was a tip?
This is a super fun idea that I don’t have time for right now!
Even Shrek handled racism better.
Why do you and Mem both have a spot on your walls that made me think there was a speck on my screen?
That happened to me too!
