ABOUT KRAMER:
Loud, proud, and never following the crowd, Kramer has been setting trends since it was first launched in 1976. Kramer released the first guitars specifically designed for metal and rock shredder virtuosos; iconic Kramer designs like the Baretta, Pacer, Vanguard, NightSwan, and SM-1 deliver the kind of speed, performance, and playability that they demand. Embraced by legendary rockers like Eddie Van Halen, Vivian Campbell, Richie Sambora, Elliot Easton, and Mick Mars during the height of the metal era in the 1980s-a period when Kramer was the most popular guitar brand in the world-Kramer's innovative approach and unwavering commitment to performance makes Kramer instruments the choice of today's hard rock and metal artists such as Charlie Parra, Tracii Guns, and Snake Sabo. Based in Nashville, TN, Kramer is part of the Gibson Brands family. Check us out at www.kramerguitars.com and follow us on Twitter, Facebook, UA-cam, and Instagram. Kramer - Made to Rock Hard.
Thank you Kramer for left-handed options! Beyond appreciated! 🙏
As a lefty I'm so happy about this news
mine will be here tomorrow really excited
Kramer is straight up putting out the best guitars right now.
lol.. no they're not.
@@nc1969 Man I’d argue that point. For the price point and for what you’re getting these are all amazing guitars. If you’re into modding guitars these are an unreal platform and not just the striker line but the Barettas are great too.
@@LicksoftheLegend The reissued Pacer Classic @ $380 was a vg deal years ago for a starter guitar. These Strikers look pretty good @ that price point for a starter guitar also.
If you you're spending $800 +. nothing beats Charvel imo. Best modding platform.
Some like the Kramer aesthetic, so to each their own.
@@nc1969 for the price point yes they are....what else you gonna get for 300 bux? some used shit from reverb? a yamaha pacifica? a squire? lmao or a sick af kramer? aint nobody looking at squires and thinking they are cool
@@random_an0n - thats not what the op wrote tho... he didnt write: "at that price point"... so yes i agree. at that price point
Had a Stryker back in 86, burgundy metallic with Floyd Rose. Loved that guitar
I'm with my Kramer Striker ST-300B since 1986...and it rocks fine!!!😎👍
Lucky!
That green with a maple fretboard would look great
You know I thought the exact same thing man, Kramer should do that it would look Awsome
You guys are champions! Thank you!!
Nice demo Dinish and great playing.
Dude busted out a drill!
Poundcake
Yeah, what the fuck Bob Vila would be pissed!!!
Cool options for the kids today.
my first ever guitar was a striker when I was 15 and my friends laughed at me. It kind of hurt and made me ashamed to have it. You know how kids can be, especially coming from your own friends. Who had different guitars or .. no guitar at all. Now I realize it was probably out of jealousy. It was a great guitar! I own several guitars now and recently got a Kramer Baretta. It reminds me of my Striker 😄
Id love to see the PROAXE come back in HS with floyd…and get them made in japan
Proaxe and nightswan 2 were my favorites 🤘🏻
Made in Japan yes
doesnt really matter much these days where its made,a china man can hit start on a CNC machine as good as any american lol
a foreign made guitar in this day and age that gets a pro set up by a good local luthier will perform the same as some fender custom shop tier stuff.
funny enough once upon a time japan was frowned upon as cheap junk, now "made in japan" is a sign of prestige
Yeah I would prefer HS.
@@random_an0n I agree. I learned how to set up my own guitars, and my barretta special plays like a dream.
cool but we're still waiting on a JK8000
I have a beautiful Striker which was bought for me 14 years ago, by a lovely now ex-girlfriend.
Kramer and Jackson are my personal favourite guitar manufacturers.
The Strikers shown in this video are lovely man. Nice !
See fender take a cue from kramer guitars and offer us a HSS player series Stratocaster in left-handed, thank you kramer for offering us one of these cool guitars in more than just one color in a lefty , wish they had these available back in the mid 80s when I start playing definitely would’ve bought one 🤘🏻🎸🎸🎸🎶
tbh it wouldnt be hard to hotrod a strat, just get a dremmel and a new HSS pickguard and you wouldnt even need to be neat with the humbucker cavity you wanna make cause the pickguard covers it up lol
I am so close to ordering that Striker in Jumper Red!!! 🎸
I have a striker bass from the 80s. Rock on.
these are very very cool! id love to try the red one!
My 1st electric was a metallic red striker from a pawn shop in ‘89-Wish I still had it
reverse headstock please
Kramer making new guitars in 2022 is great - I have a pacer custom from '88. Absolutely love it. Have you guys seen that girl Kayla Kent? I wanted her guitar but i searched around and apparently you guys don't make them anymore. If I were to buy a new kramer, or any guitar for that matter in 2022, I'd want it to be that one.
Hell yes I'm definitely gonna get the jumper red Floyd varient
holding out for the kayla kent star body kramer... whenever they decide to do it 😁
They make the Gun Star Voyager buts its a bit pricey.
Yeah kayla needs a signature
I'd love it if you brought some of the Kramer focus colors to the higher end models.
Lovely!
Hair band sound I like it 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Any plans on the Lightning Graphic on the Nightswan?? That I would buy in a second. :)
I just bought a barretta special and set it up perfectly. It’s an amazing guitar, and if it’s any indication of how good this guitar is, then it’s next on my list. Probably a hard tail for down tuning.
Ok i totally gotta give Kramer a thumbs up on this one finally a lefty model at reasonable price
Please make flip flop pink, lightning, and holoflash options.
lightnings & holoflash that would be great . on the other hand I don't like the laurel fretboard it's a shame that rosewood and ebony are no longer available for entry-level
yep im definitly gettin one wish you guys would have done hard tail lefty
Does it come with the drill?
I got the purple Baretta already and its a great guitar, but the single pickup kinda bugged me. Ordered the purple Striker already and cant wait. 🤘
I want that HSS with Floyd!! Thats what I need!!
Idk if you got that guitar already since it's been a year but as someone who bought the HSS guitar in red as my first guitar, it has truly served me so well. Very versatile, feels so good to play.
The previous model, S211 had a REAL flameburst maple top on a mahogany body. Best entry level guitar for the money, Kramer ever produced..I still enjoy it, awesome guitar. The new one looks cool.
thanks for the lefty striker, but really wish you would do a baretta line in lefty, but till then i got my eye on a striker soon, saves wear and tear on my 80s westone
Great ❤
Awesome. Have a 1986/7 striker and a 2000's model. For the money they are great guitars.
Was my first real guitar... an 86/87 model... but mine had one fatal flaw... It had a 'floyd rose' on it with a locking nut... but with no fine tuners on the bridge... lol
You could not lock the nut without it going out of tune... But you are right, it was a nice guitar and played nice, I just had to leave the locking nut open. Wish I would have kept it...
Nice. I’ve got two 80s strikers for sale on reverb right now. Hard times. Gotta sell a few guitars. A 100st and a 200st. Wish I could keep ‘em all but need the money.
“For the money” is cliche af, everything is good “ for the money”
Somebody needs to make a 22 fret HS!!!! Please! So simple and classic.
Charvel is best you're going to get
I might be buying that fixed bridge model.
I just got mine today and was worried about some of the bad reviews. Mine actually came setup, brand new, and my only complaints is the neck is a bit chunky, but I always take care of that by sanding my necks down to where I want them to make them better. The other is the tuning keys really suck, but they do tune the guitar up and the locking trem helps. Other than that, this guitar really kicks some butt for being so affordable. I will replace the pickups soon though. I always do. Semour Duncans I think will do this guitar well.
Now if Kramer make a Striker with maple neck and flame top Ill be on it. I like the maple necks better. I might buy a second and switch necks. But I got the black gloss body with maple neck one. Love it!
Will we eventually get the hard tail ones in solid colors
I have two 80s Strikers for sale on reverb right now. These make me wish I could keep them even more lol. Can’t keep ‘em all…
JK8000 when?
I own one of these. Be careful and eye ball all the screws for over tightening and some blemishes near them, open up the back for the Floyd springs make sure the hooks are actually in the middle of the trem cutaway, take to a local luthier and make sure it is properly intimated as they do not come properly set up. Instantly take the single coils out and toss in trash replacing with better hotter single coils.
That’s why this video isn’t showing very little actually clean. Dude is using so much effects on this that any guitar played through it will sound good.
I have had this guitar for about a month I can promise it’s a great deal for the price especially for the left handed scene. It a great starter guitar that allows for so many different upgrades and paths to take. It definitely is a good one beside all the downs.
I just bought a Striker HSS that needs some TLC. Busted volume knob, missing switch cover, and some paint chipping. But she's got real promise.
Thinking about getting my first guitar 🎸 think this might be the one
get it you will struggle to find a decent guitar for the same price point, ive been playing since 2004 and have a load of decent axes and even my head has been turned by this striker.
I wish they had the same colors as the Barretta specials
R2 or R3 nut on the maple fretboard version?
Kramer would you create a new guitar that is allows customers to receive even better options at a higher price point? I’ve seen what you’ve done at an amazing price point and would love to see the option of a huge step further than your current best. Scalloped necks and some recreations of the triaxe, voyager, and the rare models would be the future of the guitar and landmark of the 2020-2030 range.
When is the release date for these guitars?!
Having trouble with loading guitars on your website.
what's the song at the beginning?
Hahahah still got my American pacer in metallic pink from way back 😁😁😁😁🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh btw, there are new colors for the baretta vintage and 84 it seems
I love that these guys literally use great amps and a good sound set up when recording.
Do they make a left handed model?
I wish the transparent purple finish came with a floyd
how much do they cost
wait...they have no arm cut?
Please release one in white with ebony fretboard!!!!
Thanks! These guitars from China or Indonesia?
I'm dreaming about ressurection of old Kramer Striker basses (or Forums)! I have the Striker 710 (or late 700) and as a bass player I'd love to see at least one old model available to buy... New Kramer bass with pointy headstock please 😉
I've got the Striker 710 bass guitar, in metallic red. It's a PJ bass.
@@catzndolz61 Same, it's the best bass I've ever had
@@RobertFrederick7 I've also got a Martin STINGER. early 80's it's very hard to find any info on either of these bass guitars. The Kramer STRIKER came from southern Arizona area.
I've got an 80's Kramer Striker Bass.
They need to add more HH or HSH guitars
I'm seeing conflicting info on nut widths online. 1.626" or 1.693" , any opinions everyone?
~1.626" is the standard Floyd Rose R2 nut width, 1.693" is most likely for the stoptail tune-o-matic version.
Kramer striker guitars rock's
These looks great. Hard tail + reverse headstock would be instant buy from me!
Why is there no string tree on this guitar, plus why the headstock shape not exactly true to the original.
For a second I thought I was transported back to Headbangers Ball with Ricky Rackman.
I'm going to buy a barreta!
If I could travel back in time, I would change the date when everyone started saying "price point" to sound more professional... sight...
I hate seeing everyone saying price point. That's an industry term. We're consumers. It's a great or too expensive. Price point means a target consumers price point based on their economical status. Lower income price point is in the $279-$399 range. That is an example of a price point. Now it's the popular thing to say like how every video of a pro 80s shredder guitarist in the comments everybody is saying they are or were underrated. How was Vitto Bratta or Mick Mars ever underatted? Stupid
I agree. Price point is used way too much and sounds ridiculous. The industry deals with price poi ts us the consumer need not con ernours
Nothing is as bad as the overuse of the word "literally."
Should do a Ripley again
My first "real" guitar was a Kramer Striker 300ST in midnight blue, I think it was a 1987. I had some of my high school senior pictures taken with it (lol). I remember buying it brand new at Mountain View Music in Bend, OR (at the Mountain View Mall, would anyone care for an Orange Julius?) I had them replace the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan. I can't remember the model of the pickup, but I still have the original plastic Seymour Duncan case around here somewhere. It has the original Kramer pickup in it.
Looking back, I wish I would have kept it for nostalgia reasons, but I eventually traded it in for a BC Rich ST III in MacAlpine finish (talk about an 80s guitar). That came from Horseshoe Music in Portland, OR.
Did yours have the Floyd and single humbucker? I believe that's what mine had. But in candy apple red.
@@angelanbrentenlowndavis2949 Yes, mine had a Floyd Rose and single humbucker, but also two single coils.
That's right I remember mine having two singles now.. it's been a while and too many guitars later lol!!!
For 350 wow that’s amazing
Would be very cool to see some 7-string Strikers available again.
I'd 100% for sure buy one if they made it.
Makita included??? 😁
We need an HH variant
the first time i saw a kramer striker was my gh3 ps2 controler
Is too much to ask to make an awesome 80s super Strat?
When the Mustaine models coming out?
Bring back the Pacer Carrera!!! However I like my Assault II
Proaxe Series の再販を強く望みます
not with a floyd special they arent. it wouldnt hurt to put a real floyd or a gotoh g1996T trem in there for around the same price points. actually, the 1996T is the same price as a special if not cheaper with the same qualities as a floyd official with a hardened steel baseplate and a brass block. i wanna say as a normal guy modding a guitar they run a max of $98 USD with tax.
Made in??
Bring back the Pacer Deluxe with the flip flop colors.
Same with the Jackson's. The new headstocks are not correct vintage shape . Not even close. Compare I did. But seen it instantly. After growing up seeing the original shape
man the side camera angle looks cheese. but the guitars look great
Give me a kramer explorer cream or ivory color with shark fin inlays and I'm a buyer
There's no shredder 80s style guitars like Kramer best in the game period ......I wish they would come back out with candy red sm1 emg
you mean 80s. The 90s was a massacre for the original Kramers
Or any candy red for that matter
@@spunkybrewster1972 yes I meant 80s
Back in the late 90s--early 2000s I bought a bunch of Strikers ($229 each in the H-S-H configuration. I think they were around $180 for the H-S-S) and a Baretta (with a sustainer for $399). All had the Floyd with the EVH D-Tuna. The Baretta, which I still have, is black. I sold the candy apple red Striker and the black & white crackle finish Striker. I still have the white "Splatter" Striker and added DiMarzios to it (also white). I put a Breed in the bridge, a Tone Zone in the middle and wanted an Evolution for the neck but that was on backorder and didn't want to wait so I went with a PAF PRO. I miss MusicYo. I also bought a white Steinberger Spirit GU Deluxe from them for $229. I regret selling that one the most.
Please bring back the 80s Kramer LOGO!
the block letter logo is a visual catastrophe
Add more basses and acoustic guitars to the lineup
What kind of Floyd?
special I think considering these are like 350.00 usd.. special if that.
Need one in hot pink!
Can you possibly play them on a Marshall MG10 some other times in the near future, please?
My reason?
Well, a Mesa is an amp I will not be able to buy anytime soon but very interested in these Kramers and how they might sound on more economical (cheaper) amps.
I do have the Orange Micro Terror which I play through a 4x8 Hartke cabinet, if that matters.
Awesome review and your playing is extremely good!
Very 80s🎸👍
Trade ya for my FR424 model
Im gonna purposely buy a lefty version and play it upside down, ha!
its bad enough 99% of guitars are for right handers....the paltry few we get are either overpriced or junk from china
now we have right handers buying left handed ones to appear cool
no...it doesnt look cool, the reason a lefty flipped guitar is cool is due to lack of options for them and they adapted, while a righty flipping a lefty guitar just comes across as cringe and poser
To my ear tune O matic sounds better than two of them
