Liturgy of the Word - Our Lady, Mother and Queen - 22 August 2023

For Jews, the King's mother, and not his wife, is the Queen. Because of the special role of Mary as Mother of Jesus, who is King, she is also Queen and Mother to all of us, given to us by Jesus at the foot of the cross. Entrust your prayers to Mary, believing that she will take them to her Son, who will not refuse His mother. May our prayers be conformed to the will of God, so that we may grow in love and desire of Him, just as Mary did.
