This is the type of reaction we maidiacs look for - the one that's just like our own first experience. Wait, what?? They're really playing that! One or two more videos, and then it's over. You're completely, utterly addicted. You will be assimilated, and resistance is indeed futile. And it doesn't go away, even after years. Not only phenomenal players, but songwriting and arranging are insanely good. Kanami (lead guitar) writes the songs, with Miku (pigtails) doing lyrics, and they're like a Japanese version of Lennon/McCartney. Not only are their songs great, but the arrangements are sheer brilliance. Second verse instrumental parts never the same as the first, aggressively creative drum and bass parts, false stops/starts, multiple solos in the same song, and they love playing live for their "masters and princesses." It just doesn't get old! I'd go for Domination Live February 2020 and Real Existence LIVE 2018 next, but hell all their songs are great.
"These girls can play" YES, they can, best rock band in the world today! And since you said it, check out their song "Play" from the 2/14/20 show. 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂
What you are feeling is what is called "The Gap" by Miku Kobato (band founder, rhythm guitar, lyricist, 800 year old pigeon spokes person, wearing red rose) ,....the visual cuteness aspect of the Maids outfits in contrast to the hard rock sound they produce...... nice reaction this MV is good but you should check out the "live" version of this doing or any other "live" video.....enjoy the experience of Band-Maid!
@@fernandonovo6149 Cool.... But I really do enjoy the moment when someone new thinks that B-M is gonna be this "Cutsie Pop type of thing", and then suddenly ROCK pours out.... That moment is magic!! lol
Welcome to Band-Maid. "Dice" is a good song to start IMO, but you really have to check them out LIVE! They are so damn good live, it´s unbelievable, trust me... I´ve seen a lot of bands in my life, but they are easy TOP 3 or maybe the best i´ve seen in my life. You can look for "Domination" live from this year or "Play"... If you want a pure instrumental in which they are showing off it´s "Onset". And the maid-outfits and the heavy sound is the GAP, it´s their intention behind it. Have fun with these awesome ladies, it´s a deep pigeon hole, but it´s damn worth it! Greetings from Germany, stay healthy!
They’re all accomplished, trained and educated musicians. Miku Kobato, rhythm/vocalist, is the exception in that she decided to learn guitar AFTER starting the band and recruited her guitarist Kanami Tono as her teacher back in 2013. Miku began taking lessons from her in 2014. They started out under the thumb of management, being told what to play, but wrestled their creative freedom for themselves after writing and arranging the song Alone back in 2015, I believe it was.💪🏻🤘🏻
Yes, they are real ... 90 plus song catalog, and every single one of those songs are first-class hits that would have been #1 in any 1960/70/80 play list. The Drummer, Guitarist, and Bassist are all university-trained multi-instrumentalist. The singer is incredible, and the 'least talented' person is the backup singer/ rhythm guitar player who is considered a poetic genius among native Japanese speakers. You can't go wrong picking any of their songs, although I would say that their live performances are something special (other than the live performance of 'Bubble' which is incredible as well, but was done for a TV appearance and was cut nearly in half to meet the show's 'timing'.)
From JAPAN Thank you for Reaction Band-Maid. They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing hard rock in a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 20-23 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. Now they are writing, composing and arranging all the songs. 30 songs have been released on their official UA-cam, all of which are killer songs. They will release a new song "Different" on December 2nd and a full album "Unseen World" in January 20 next year. It was announced that the new song "Different" will be the theme song for the animation "Log Horizon 3rd season Round Table Collapse" that start in January 13 next year on NHK E-TV (educational broadcast) Japan. Official UA-cam ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAIDvideos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=2126 For hard rock, "DOMINATION" "Secret my lips," "Rinne," "DICE." "PLAY." and "Onset." For ballads, "Wonderland ," "Endless story ,"and "Daydreaming" For a fun live, "FREEDOM(Live) ," "CROSS", and "Choose me" Japanese style "Secret maiko lips" and "GION-CHO" My most favorite songs right now are the "Puzzle" band version and the acoustic version. Next, their latest Live work "DOMINATION" 2020 2.14 Sibuya Tokyo Live would be good. For studio music videos, "Rinne" is a good choice. (^^♪ BAND MEMBER Miku Kobato : Side guitar, back vocal, lyricist, band founder, Public relations officer, Kobato is a small pigeon! Saiki : Lead vocal, the youngest, and member call her a teacher and she make various decisions. likes bullet trains. Kanami Tono : Lead guitar, composer (prolific genius), good at piano. hobby is reading. good at making sweets. Akane Hirose : Drummer, band leader, good at funny faces, She is a big eater. She loves anime. Misa : Bassist, stage drinks are liquor, play with bare feet. She is the most shy and reticent. good at cooking.
Indeed!! Highly talented girls, Jim! Ran into them 2 years ago because of youtube algorithm. It started of in 2013 When Miku Kobato (Silver Zemaitis guitar) worked at a maid-themed cafè. She had a past from an all-girl j-pop-band, which was broken up previous year. While working she started thinking about an maid-themed band playing (hard)rock, you know because of the contrast. So she met the shy Kanami Tonô (Green PRS) who was making videos of covers, her own material while also giving lessons on guitar. She knew about a drummer whom she had been working with on a few occasions. The food-loving Gorilla Akane Hirose, who brought in MISA on bass. When rehearsing one thing got apparent fast: Mikus pop-voice wasn't strong enough for the genre they were playing, so she brought in a girl who was signed to the same record company Before the audition the agent said she might not be very happy about the maid outfits, so they weren't mentioned untill first gig. So Miku got lessons on the guitar by Kanami, and has become a very energetic and good rythm guitarist. First year didn't go too well, and they were talking about splitting up when the MV for the song "Thrill" started to live it's life on twitter. Except that you have "Blooming" (MV), "Freedom" (Live 2020.... oh yeah... they're absolutely glorious live!) "Domination" (live 2020), "Onset" (instrumental live 2018), "Yolo" (MV). I let B-M4life fill in the rest! P.S. this is a Pigeon-hole, not a rabbit-hole! Kuruppo!! (Kobato in japan is a small pigeon, so Miku believes she is a pigeon)
"I wanna call them cute" That's cuz they cute AF. They just ALSO happen to rock unbelievably hard, and I love them for showing that those things aren't mutually exclusive.
Great reaction....band maid best rock band in the world...react band maid live......DOMINATION....FREEDOM....PLAY......ONSET....CLANG.....all songs is crazy
Welcome aboard, Jim. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 90 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (nearly 100 songs with their latest album, “Conqueror”, and a new drop coming Jan. ‘21), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their later songs drive even more - Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Marage and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: ua-cam.com/video/4uIYBkAybCI/v-deo.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: ua-cam.com/video/usWZvlGGDSs/v-deo.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.). Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma, performance and voice focus the experience. Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 29 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Naw-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 29 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 29 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Assassin" - Bass, 28 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
@@JimGames If you watch their live stuff particularly Domination, Freedom and Play then you will see the fun factor is genuine. My problem with a lot of hard rock/metal is most of them seem way to serious and angry. These girls smile more on stage than any rocker since EVH.
They are the only band I have found that not one song is the same. I've only ever found about 3 major similarities in their 6 albums. And (not kidding) I can listen to a song 80 times and still pick out something I hadn't noticed before.
Funny you mention Leslie Claypool, he is one of MISA's "Barefoot Assassin" (bass) influences, along with The Pixies and Smashing Pumpkins. She's very shy and love her whiskey. Always has it or beer on stage as well
Kanami (lead guitar, third vocalist, piano, and main arranger) takes influence from alot of Van Halen and Santana. Admittedly a bit of a blonde, probably the sweetest of the group and has a major girl crush on Saiki. Akane (drums and acting band leader) commonly referred to as the most normal of the group and loves loves her food, like competition level eater. People say has alot of Deep Purple vibes and Jimmy Page himself said she's one of the best he's seen and tracked her down after a show for a picture. Saiki (lead vocal) and designs much of their merchandise. Very quiet and reserved LoVEs shoes and trains and was a dancer for many years. Miku (rhythm and vocals, chief lyricist and founder) did not play before forming the band. Most energetic of the group.
Hey, you really need to see them Live, thats where they really shine! Try Band Maid - Real Existence Live, its on their official channel. I know it might be hard to believe but these girls have no bad songs and i have heard probably 50+ songs from them. Another absolutely amazing band you need to discover is Lovebites, while Band Maid are more Hard Rock, Lovebites are Metal. Both insanely talented bands! Both better to watch Live. Try Lovebites - Holy War Live at Zepp Divercity 2020. Enjoy and Stay safe!
Best rock band on the planet. Discovered them earlier this year and about 15 seconds into this song I realized for the first time in a long time I had a favorite band. Like so many have said you will want to go with a live performance next, and Domination from Feb 14th of this year is a good go to.
I have 2 more videos this week I previously recorded. Next week I will for sure I will react to some live performances! Also I love your profile picture 😍 Looks just like my dog Bean's.
im still a band-maid rookie and i just went over the 2 year mark after finding them. my first video which hooked me was thrill. the song, the look, the energy hit my soul. i still get goose bumps till this day listening to them. if you think there videos are baddass. u gotta see them live. there fun and you know your watching something special.
I haven't listened to a rock band this good & with this much talent since high school, & that's 35yrs ago. How good is BAND-MAID? I currently have around 80 of their songs in my top ten. Cute? Yes!! Bad Ass Cute!! Traveled a 1000mi to see them & meet them twice in September of 2019 in NYC & although it's not looking good I do hold a ticket for their 11 February, 2021 show @ Budokan. Great reaction btw, looking forward to watching you react to a live performance of theirs. Domination, Puzzle, Freedom, Play, Take Me Higher, Real Existence, Choose Me, Moritorium, Onset, are just a few suggestions.
I love how real their music is. A lot of all-female Japanese bands are very... idol-ish. They tend to be really clean and perfect. Band-Maid has real grit and heart, and tons of talent, and they're just so damn happy. I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching them.
Welcome to the beautiful "Band Maid" world. You started this musical adventure with my "favorite" song "Dice". No real "Band Maid" fan has its own list, favorite 3 or 5 "Band Maid" songs. We make our list from a minimum of 30 favorite songs, regretting that we had to leave out some songs. If Tuomas (Nightwish) is a "Metal Mozart", then Kanami (leading guitarist and composer) is a "ROCK GENIUS" who unites "Lennon-McCartney" in one person. The band has existed for 7 years, but the last 5 have been creating their own music and are probably the most productive band in the world, because every year, in addition to constant touring and other obligations, he releases a new album with fantastic songs. At the same time, the record company rejected more songs than it approved for release. I can't imagine what Kanami wrote at this "Covid-19" time when she had all the time in the world. She probably saved enough material for the next 3 albums. This band revitalized and renewed Rock music in a way that no one expected. The band has been in the current line-up since its formation and it is simply unthinkable for fans for any girl to leave the band. It's hard to find a band where all the members are almost equally popular and loved by the fans. My favorite is Miku because Band Maid is the result of her dreams of becoming a Rock Star. I also think that she is the most important member of the Band at present, because she works the most (she writes lyrics, sings backing vocals, plays rhythm guitar very well, creates costumes, is a spokesperson for the media, etc.). He occupies a central place on the stage and makes the other members (who are, by the way, very shy off stage) feel safe and free to expose their musicality to unimaginable heights. By the way, since I see from your reactions that you are a fan of "Rammstein", I use the opportunity to reveal to you a relatively little known and fresh German Metal Band which, in addition to phenomenal musicians, currently has the best Metal singer in the world (in my opinion). The band is called "Null Positiv" and the singer "Elli Berlin". To get started, listen to the best Metal Ballad released in the last 10 years: Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer (Official Video) ua-cam.com/video/lOIy-i6c_iI/v-deo.html or raw strong Metal song: Friss dich auf (Official Video) ua-cam.com/video/V6CJ0Rq8sZU/v-deo.html I'm not a big fan of growling and screaming, but when Elli does it, WOW !!! and when he sings in a clear voice WOW !!! x WOW !!! Sorry for the long comment (in bad English) and I wish you a lot of health and good reactions from the new subscriber.
If you see live performances, its obvious they are genuinely best friends and love what they do. On and off stage they're constantly together and the banter and fun they have with each other is something everyone always takes notice of.
misa on bass is my idol. every song has a superb bassline. also u gotta know that jimmy page is a huge fan of the drummer akane, he says its the best drummer to date. this band is known for switching up their instrumentals and beats between the verses. they never play the same lines.thats what makes it so interesting to listen to. thanks for your reaction!!
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , and the rest of the maids are Miku Kobato AKA Pigeon Band founder n back up vocals n Rhythm guitar , Kanami Tono , Lead guitar music arranger n shredder , Akane Hirose AKA Gorilla Drums , Saiki Atsumi Lead vocals AKA Ice Queen . YES They are all ladies - in their late 20's early 30's? SO WHAT - THEY ROCK! MISA MISA MISA - the barefoot ASSASIN! Best bass player in the world! I digress - they all are great! BAND MAID call your predicament THE GAP! The outfits don't match the sound! That is what they want! You're thinking J-POP and WHAM your hooked! Welcome to the world (aka: Rabbit Hole) of Band Maid! You will become a MAIDIAC! Resistance is Futile! You will learn soon enough that these ladies ROCK! They are a very talented group. They are all well trained in various instruments. There is not a bad song from BAND MAID FREEDOM - PUZZLE - FREEZER - PLAY - BLOOMING - DICE - DRAGON CRIES - All great songs!
AS others will say, their MV are great but their live shows are on another level. Try "Domination" live from Feb 14, 2020 and "Real Existence" Live. Excellent.
hello, I agree with many, the live shows are superb, and as I read, the best rock band currently, I have been a big fan for a while and will remain so for a very long time, I await the next release in December and January the release of the new album
You'll get a lot of requests for live videos. Most of the unofficial uploads got taken down about 6 months ago, but they do at least have several on their official channel. Most commonly requested will probably be the live version of Domination. As for other bands, a very close 2nd for me, behind Band-Maid, are another Japanese all-female band, The Let's Go's. You won't see many requests for them as they aren't that well known (yet) but they really deserve checking out. They play a in much more stripped back punky style, but their energy, character and enthusiasm, not to mention an ear for a good melody, makes them a really entertaining band. This is a live clip. If you watch the first 3.5 minutes then, in true Ramones fashion, it'll be enough for two songs - and you'll have a good feel for the band. ua-cam.com/video/HBB3m-lDmnI/v-deo.html
@@JimGames If you'd prefer to see a MV first, I'd go for this one "Feel Like It" ua-cam.com/video/Za98RjpKnK8/v-deo.html It features pizza, beer, a Joey Ramone look-a-like, cleaning products and a monkey mask, among other things. It's a two-minute blast.
@@Davey-Boyd Glad to hear it. They have apparently just got a new bass player too, after being down to two members after the bassist left early in the year. The show linked in my comment is unlisted, but obviously you can still watch it using that link. A "cut and paste" comment I gave to another new Band-Maid reacter this past week...... "" Band-Maid are a band of Super Super talented musicians. Virtuoso-esque talent. Are there individual musicians out there that are more "technically" talented than they are individually??..... yeah, probably, sure. But as a group, as a whole..... No F#¤king way!! This is a super group. A super Drummer....ask Jimmy Page. A super Bassist. A super Lead guitarist who is also a super songwriter...... actually she is one of the best songwriters I've come across, A super lyricist and A super singer, IMO the best female voice from Japan. And this is what makes Band Maid even more special..... Since their formation as a 5 piece (2013) it's been the same members. Take one of them out...... it ain't Band Maid. That's how much each contribute to their sound and direction. This band is not interchangeable like The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Iron Maiden or AC/DC (some of my favorite bands), but more like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana or Rage Against The Machine (also some of my favorite bands). "The 5 Pillars Of Perfection". As for recommendations........ Try these, all from their UA-cam page..... Domination "Live". From their last concert 14/02/20 before Covid-19 introduced itself to the world. Thrill. This was their first MV. Their breakthrough. Not their best, but a fan favorite. Alone. The 1st 100% Band maid original. Don't Let Me Down. 1st English song, and it's dirty. Freedom "live". Cool Drum solo, also from 14/02/20 concert. Blooming. Coz I said so. One of my favorite songs. This should keep you busy for a while. ""
Band-Maid's online full live has been announced. From 16:00 on December 13th to 16:00 on the 16th (Japan time). The new song "Different" will also be performed. bandmaid.tokyo/contents/376042 Full scale live is probably more than 2 hours. The titles of the songs on the new album have also been announced.
Congratulations! You have just been introduced to the best hard rock band of today. 😉🤘🏻 And you are absolutely right in saying that this was great on every level. Each of these ladies has an incredible amount of talent. And what they create together as a group is probably the best that the genre has produced in a very long time. And I think some will agree with me when I say that with only one song you have just scratched the surface of what this band has to offer. And these ladies put one more on top of it by performing it not only well in the studio but especially live on stage. There they show their true abilities. "Play" and/or "Domination" from their concert in February 2020 are the most popular examples. Both performances are available on their official channel.
You want more? You’ll be glad to know that by Jan 20, they would have 107 songs. All good or great, no fillers... all fun! I’m sure there will be many suggestions for you in the comments.
You ain't see nothing yet...try real existance, morotarium, the non fiction day, puzzle...u be amazed...always see the live version...bandmaid4life 🤘🤘🤘
Loved the reaction and welcome to the band maid family. Hope to see more reactions. They are drop dead gorgeous bad ass musicians lol. Check out freedom for the drummer
@@JimGames The Live concert version from February 14 this year is by far the best, extended with solos including Akane in what is probably her best recorded drum solo so far.
BAND-MAID, best live rock band out today. Check out live videos on their website for more mind blowing experience. Suggest Real Existence, Domination, Play, Freedom, Onset, etc etc etc and MV’s Rinne, Blooming, Non Existent Days etc etc etc

I was surprised just like you when I first heard them too. As you have realized right away they are truly talented, high level musicians. Great reaction video. Please do more Band-Maid. I'm interested to see your reaction to Lovebites. Lovebites is an all female Heavy Metal band from Japan. Hold onto something. ua-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/v-deo.html
You have just found the best hard rock band on the planet right now. This is nothing. They are 1000% better live. You face is going to melt. Real Existence live or Domination live or Play live and bangers
You said it yourself, these girls can play. That being said, you should check out their song called "Play" (live). This band is really special when they perform live, and the recording quality is really good. ua-cam.com/video/3LxX_t4vg7U/v-deo.html

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single BAND-MAID song. Bon Voyage!
Missed your chance to say “with a roll of the DICE” :P
Still true though.

They are the greatest rock band on earth.
From JAPAN
Thank you for Reaction Band-Maid.
Official UA-cam ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAIDvideos?view=0&sort=dd&shelf_id=2126
For hard rock, "DOMINATION" "Secret my lips," "Rinne,"
"DICE."
"PLAY." and
"Onset."
For ballads, "Wonderland ," "Endless story ,"and "Daydreaming"
For a fun live, "FREEDOM(Live) ," "CROSS", and "Choose me"
Japanese style "Secret maiko lips" and "GION-CHO"
My most favorite songs right now are the "Puzzle" band version and the acoustic version.
Next, their latest Live work "DOMINATION" 2020 2.14 Sibuya Tokyo Live would be good.
For studio music videos, "Rinne" is a good choice. (^^♪

Akane Hirose : Drummer, band leader, good at funny faces, She is a big eater. She loves anime.
Misa : Bassist, stage drinks are liquor, play with bare feet. She is the most shy and reticent. good at cooking.
Thank you for all the information! I plan on doing a lot more reaction videos for Band Maid. I would love to experience a live show some day!
I’ll journey down this pigeon hole! Thank you for all the information 😊
Dice was my first to . Miku wouldn't be upset about cute it's natural for her . About 89 more great songs to go and a new one on December 2nd.
Make no mistake these girls are the real deal. Looking forward to you discovering them live, you will see how amazing they are! 🤘
"I wanna call them cute"
That's cuz they cute AF.
And many are represented with over 30 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
MISA! MISA!
Wow Thank you for all the info! I'm excited to checkout more music!
Great reaction. Personally their appearance juxtapose against their music adds to the fun factor
It took me by surprise that’s for sure 😂
@@JimGames If you watch their live stuff particularly Domination, Freedom and Play then you will see the fun factor is genuine. My problem with a lot of hard rock/metal is most of them seem way to serious and angry. These girls smile more on stage than any rocker since EVH.
Man....can these girls play. The best of the best.
They are the only band I have found that not one song is the same. I've only ever found about 3 major similarities in their 6 albums. And (not kidding) I can listen to a song 80 times and still pick out something I hadn't noticed before.
Best rocking maids ever 🔥 🔥
And, they’re cute 🧨
Funny you mention Leslie Claypool, he is one of MISA's "Barefoot Assassin" (bass) influences, along with The Pixies and Smashing Pumpkins. She's very shy and love her whiskey. Always has it or beer on stage as well
MISA!MISA!MISA! ..... The BEST Hard Rock Band on the planet. Hi from the UK :) Enjoy
Great reaction!. Best hard rock band out there. When you listen to them live you will notice it.
This band is flat out awesome. One of the best on the planet. Enjoy!
im still a band-maid rookie and i just went over the 2 year mark after finding them. my first video which hooked me was thrill. the song, the look, the energy hit my soul. i still get goose bumps till this day listening to them. if you think there videos are baddass. u gotta see them live. there fun and you know your watching something special.
Domination (live) should be your next Band-Maid song.
You gotta watch them live
Welcome to Band Maid .I need see you reaction next song:: BAND MAID / REAL EXISTENCE (April 13th, 2018) ::yess Live version i think you hyep.
Consider it done! Thank you for the recommendation!
Thank you for all the suggestions! I honestly cant wit to hear how they sound live!
To get started, listen to the best Metal Ballad released in the last 10 years: Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer (Official Video) ua-cam.com/video/lOIy-i6c_iI/v-deo.html or raw strong Metal song: Friss dich auf (Official Video) ua-cam.com/video/V6CJ0Rq8sZU/v-deo.html
I'm not a big fan of growling and screaming, but when Elli does it, WOW !!! and when he sings in a clear voice WOW !!! x WOW !!!
Sorry for the long comment (in bad English) and I wish you a lot of health and good reactions from the new subscriber.
Thank you for the info and suggestions! I think your English is perfectly fine! I will defiantly check out Null Positive as well.
If you see live performances, its obvious they are genuinely best friends and love what they do. On and off stage they're constantly together and the banter and fun they have with each other is something everyone always takes notice of.
I absolutely love seeing new people discovering Band-Maid.
It’s been a wild ride! I’m loving every second so far!
Domination live in 2020 and Freedom live , both killer performances you should see, esp with crowd reaction.
misa on bass is my idol. every song has a superb bassline. also u gotta know that jimmy page is a huge fan of the drummer akane, he says its the best drummer to date. this band is known for switching up their instrumentals and beats between the verses. they never play the same lines.thats what makes it so interesting to listen to. thanks for your reaction!!
No apologies straight ahead hard rock! Love it all and they are beautiful as well.
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , and the rest of the maids are Miku Kobato AKA Pigeon Band founder n back up vocals n Rhythm guitar , Kanami Tono , Lead guitar music arranger n shredder , Akane Hirose AKA Gorilla Drums , Saiki Atsumi Lead vocals AKA Ice Queen . Fan base called Maidiacs .
There is not a bad song from BAND MAID
FREEDOM - PUZZLE - FREEZER - PLAY - BLOOMING - DICE - DRAGON CRIES - All great songs!
the band is exceptional and i a favorite of the bass player. she gets a tone out of that not many people can. wow!
MISA! MISA!! MISA!!!
Dope video this band is on my top 3 favorite Japanese bands along with Lovebites and Unlucky morpheus
ah, a man of culture. Lovebites and UM are amazing.
Oh they sound interesting! Thanks for the link I’ll definitely check them out!
Just read your comment. Just fell in love with Let's Go's. Thank you!
@@Davey-Boyd Glad to hear it. They have apparently just got a new bass player too, after being down to two members after the bassist left early in the year. The show linked in my comment is unlisted, but obviously you can still watch it using that link. Another half hour show was from an online gig here ua-cam.com/video/RQj9K40EVlE/v-deo.html
If you enjoyed them, you might also enjoy another small punky band I'm into, Rumkicks, from Korea ua-cam.com/video/LVggYxufDps/v-deo.html
Oh, and here's another Let's Go's video that was delisted for some reason ua-cam.com/video/DCtWhkDQFF8/v-deo.html
@@RevStickleback Cheers for the links! Do you know Brats? Also I recently discovered Otoboke Beaver. Both from Japan
The new song "Different" will also be performed. bandmaid.tokyo/contents/376042
Full scale live is probably more than 2 hours. The titles of the songs on the new album have also been announced.
Yup I’m going to have to get tickets for that! Thanks for the information!
Congratulations! You have just been introduced to the best hard rock band of today. 😉🤘🏻
And you are absolutely right in saying that this was great on every level.
You have just scratched the surface of your new favorite band. They are special, aren't they? :-)
You want more? You’ll be glad to know that by Jan 20, they would have 107 songs. All good or great, no fillers... all fun! I’m sure there will be many suggestions for you in the comments.
Great reaction, thank you~
I think you need to watch any of their live performances, which will surprise to you. :)
Check out the music video, "Blooming." You won't be disappointed. In reality, all they do is amazing.
You ain't see nothing yet...try real existance, morotarium, the non fiction day, puzzle...u be amazed...always see the live version...bandmaid4life 🤘🤘🤘

The Live concert version from February 14 this year is by far the best, extended with solos including Akane in what is probably her best recorded drum solo so far.
Dice has arguably my favorite bass-guitar "hand-off" solo section of their songs.
Amazingly Beautiful...
BAND-MAID, best live rock band out today. Check out live videos on their website for more mind blowing experience. Suggest Real Existence, Domination, Play, Freedom, Onset, etc etc etc and MV’s Rinne, Blooming, Non Existent Days etc etc etc
Cute, yes they are.
They are just so much MORE.
Their music makes you happy.
This is exactly the song I tell everyone to listen to first.
My fav band!! They are the best... you MUST do "REAL EXISTENCE"...

We have all fallen into the GAP !
I fell into the Gap in the late 90s. Luckily I'm out now. Those boot cut jeans are difficult to part with.
Great song to pop your Band Maid cherry. They get better from here. Wait til you see them live.
Im getting so hyped reading all these comments! I cant wait to hear more.
You belong to Kuruppo now, and have to follow the pidgeon to wherever Band-Maid goes.
Real existence is no.1 favourite even though other 20 plus band-maid favourites are so close to the top anyway.
And you see nothing, they are much more better live...
Thank you for sharing a link with me! I’m really excited to learn more about BAND-MAID.
Bandmaid..Real Existence,Choose me,Play live feb 14 2020,or Domination live feb 14 2020🤟

The word you are looking for is kawaii.
Actually you can call all of them as "Kawaii", like my kuruppo right there 5:10 :) Bando-Maid for Life Bro! Next stop Lovebites - Holy War /,,/
I was surprised just like you when I first heard them too. As you have realized right away they are truly talented, high level musicians. That can be acknowledged especially in their live performances. In Miku's case, it's weaponized cute.
Weaponized cute 🤣 I love it!
how about beautiful, talented, legendary ,awesome i got at least ten more to describe them cute isnt one of them
All except Miku, trained to play by Kanami, are classically trained or went to a music college.
I call them cute all the time, but I also ha e seen videos of them off-stage or behind the camera

I was very confused at first, then I realized you just copied the entire description form the original video.
Yeah if people discover a band from one of my videos I like them to easily be able to buy the artist merchandise or find links the artist would like to share.

Great reaction video. Please do more Band-Maid.
I'm interested to see your reaction to Lovebites. Lovebites is an all female Heavy Metal band from Japan. They will knock your socks off, fold them up and put them away. Their song, Thunder Vengeance is a good place to start as it's the first song of a Concert. Hold onto something.

You have just found the best hard rock band on the planet right now. This is nothing. They are 1000% better live. You face is going to melt. Real Existence live or Domination live or Play live and bangers
it's alright.. they are indeed cute. also badass.

Unfortunately that link won’t open for me.
You said it yourself, these girls can play. That being said, you should check out their song called "Play" (live). This band is really special when they perform live, and the recording quality is really good.
