I got scammed for about $2000 and then the “crypto recovery” scammers came knocking on my door. I ALMOST fell for that too.
Actually about 7 years ago a former boss of mine won BIGTIME in bitcoin and sent me and a coworker $9000 each just because he enjoyed working with us. That’s what conditioned me to fall for the initial scam.
This was a very reaffirming video. Oh by the way similar numbers often contact me about frozen blockchain accounts, the latest one saying I have access to $400,000 worth of bitcoin. I find those entertaining.

I dodged this bullet. I was about to be one of those scammers, I applied to one of their job posting and states that youll be a "Sales Representative" the compensation is high youll get more than you ask for and theyll even give you incentives for every "sales" you create. I went through their 5 days training and everything seems to be fine at first but when the script for the calls were discussed, thats when it clicked to me, we werent selling here, we're gonna scam people to making a deposit. Thats when I fully turned back and never looked back. I also reported this to our national bureau of investigation about the scamming that was happening to that building. Unfortunately, I havent heard any updates yet

But I think you can get the message across much easier: don't invest in sketchy things online that seem too good to be true. You can say that to someone without the $200 price tag 😉

I did a quick research on it, and my suspicions were confirmed that it was a scam. So when I told him the confirmation, he got really mad. UA-cams ad monitoring is absolute garbage - I get scam ads every day (bad quality ai deepfakes of people designed to scam people out of their xrp / Bitcoin… saying send your crypto to be sent double back) 💀 I report them constantly but UA-cam is happy to just profit off these scams and run them all day every day - they charge a lot for advertising because of all the data they have on users, but they don’t bother to vet what goes up… if an ad gets flagged it should automatically be flagged if the same ad is getting uploaded on some unvarified throwaway account (often it’s marked under entirely different categories as well to be more deceiving)… if a UA-camr put the same scams in their video they would probably get demonetised and kicked off UA-cam, but UA-cams standards are far more trash when it comes to what they will accept money for… really feels like they should be liable to anyone who falls for any of the scams

My old buddy fell for this scam over a year ago . The worst part was ,this money that he invested was from dad who just passed away the year prior so that was the money left after his death. I felt guilty cuz i was there for the funeral but had stopped talking during the scam cuz of a disagreement , and i know i would have stopped him if we were in contact then. He told me shortly after in which i had to break the news that it was definitely a scam. We both felt bad cuz if we would have kept communication it would have saved his money. A year later it still make me feel bad as it was all the money he got from his dad passing away. I can't imagine suffering both those losses

@@Moraca101 Oh yeah. There's another UA-camr I watch and a lot of these murderers will have really upsetting backgrounds and frankly have a lot of stuff that makes them victims of their own abusers be it parents, strangers, etc. But she always says "Two things can be true at the same time." Someone can have things happen to them that isn't fair but they can also now be a completely evil person who took the lives of many. You can feel bad for someone's situation, but it's never a good reason. It's an explanation for why something happened but not an excuse. You can be an abuser while having been a victim. Ultimately once they do something horrific we can't let the emotions of their past interfere with the person they chose to be today.

Now I watch your scammers they just take a little, grip you in a sunk cost fallacy, convince you to show them your passwords and gut your bank accounts.

I can't necessarily blame them for jumping on these "opportunities". It's like people that treat the lottery as a financial "strategy" - you might get lucky, but 99.9% you're losing every cent.
Also, with the state of wealth inequality in places such as the US right now, I can see how people would get increasingly desperate, and think that the only way to jump the wealth gap is to essentially win the lottery.
