Thank you for the video. I used your measurements, they were spot on. I used the adjustment screws to make things fit. This was my first time installing any kind of hinge. Really appreciate the video.
Excellent video showing how to measure, mark, drill and attach the plates. Many videos show you how to drill the the cup holes and attach the hinges to the door. This is the first I have seen that shows how to do the plates on face frame cabinets. I am working on full overlay but it does seem it will be the same.
This is a great video thank you so much for your clear, concise explanations. It enabled me to hang a cabinet door I built. What brand of marking gauge do you use to mark your hinge locations? I liked the one you used. Thanks!
Hi there! The measurements would need to account for the thickness of the door for an inset hinge installation, so they will vary from the measurements in this video.
I believe that's the 1" rule stop. We have the 2" version which connects to a Woodworking Rule. kjpselecthardwoods.com/products/rulestop2 kjpselecthardwoods.com/products/woodworkingrules
This is great, but I would love to have those measurements using inches rather than metric. I don't have a single measuring tape or square that uses millimeters. Otherwise this is helpful.
It's amazing how all these hinge videos skilfully avoid showing you the exact things you need to see most - like how much the door overlays the frame and how much clearance you need if you have pullout shelves..

Thank you for straight to the point no fuss instructions!
Excellent, clear, with measurements, and explanations. No waffle.

Great video. Very clear guidelines. It gave me the confidence to do the job myself. Thank you.
Just followed these instructions, and they were spot on. Thank you!
Great to hear!
Can confirm. Drilling too deep and blowing through the door front does make me sad 😢😂
NIce video but I find that the vertical adjustment screw will not move . Do I need to loosen the 2 retaining screws first?

perfect length of video. I don't need 40mins of pre ramble. just show me how to do it. many thanks
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Cheers buddy. Exactly the video I needed.
What about doors of 20mm thickness?
Surely the mounting plate needs to be closer to the edge, or not?
Will all of these measurements work on the Blum 110 degree inset hinges?

Tesolin for prime! 🤗
Whats the square that you measured the 37mm on the carcass called?
What is the maximum lateral adjustment one can do with these hinges?
Perfect.
Where can I get a tape measure like yours- looks amazing
