@@vinceniederman3235 nah, greatest Eagles play period. Graham won this game with the strip sack. Legend. If not for that play, Brady does what he always does and Pats probably go up and win. This sealed the W.
Go back and watch the Eagles comeback against the Giants in 2010... Merrill knew it was going to happen! He literally says "It's been done... It's almost into the miracle stage" He knew!
@@TonecrafteLuthiery No, it was right before this play. There was no editing to the audio or video other than to line the two up. Merrill’s request was granted fairly immediately.
yup. I was at the Art Museum when Barnett was drafted and he was booed by some and in the Super Bowl he recovered that fumble and held onto it as he was tackled. Barnett may be a one year wonder, but he made some key plays with the fumble recovery and a few other plays in that NFC Championship game.
I replay this entire season just because. The Eagles overcame everything in this season. To win a superbowl with a backup QB is just astounding. The entire superbowl Foles was a masterpiece. The entire team was a masterpiece. Seriously the best season in Philly football history. What a game! BG is a legend and HOF'er. And he's still producing top tier plays. This will go down in history as one of the best SB's.
when Merrill says "recovered" that's when the chills start on my scalp and go down my spine. when his voice cracks with his unbridled excitement...complete ASMR moment.
That whole season I listened to Merrill and Mike on the radio in my kitchen. That Superbowl night, I didn't watch the game on TV. I heard Merrill say that and it is amazing that it happened. I cried in my kitchen that night. Besides the birth of my daughter, it was the greatest night of my life. I bleed green for life! 💚🦅🏈
1:11 There is no singular word in existence to describe the emotional intensity in this moment. It's like Graham is THE Alpha male in a pack of Alpha wolves. So awesome.
Furniture in my house started to unexpectedly float in mid air right when Tom Brady was striped sacked. I can’t explain it! All hell broke lose. I was screaming like crazy!
Thank you chick fli a Lmao all jokes aside but this play was one of the biggest plays in the whole game without that we could’ve lost and the drought continues but nope we won greatest day of my life
No screaming in my house, we ran in the middle of room and hugged and said we finally got our Super Bowl victory almost speechless. Now on the other hand, the Patrick Robinson pick 6 (NFC conference game), they heard us down the block.
My Patriots friend invited me to watch the game with his fellow Patriots buddies. I could feel the tension when I started loudly celebrating this fumble ...
I will never ever forget this day in the history of Eagles Sports !!!!! And its only the beginning.......Oooooh by the way.......LET'S GOOOOO PHILLIES $$$$$$$$ THE HARPER TRAIN HAS JUST ROLLED IN!!!!!!!!
If you look at the video with a compilation of the calls on the play, by far the best is Kevin Harlan's from Westwood One, and the Patriots announcer's call is right behind it.
As someone who wants to get back into writing I fucking want to write a whole ass script based on the Philadelphia Eagles 2017 season and superbowl appearance for the big screen
i remember merrill when he did the color with charlie swift who did the play by play. swift died and merrill started to call the games. his new partner was former eagle OT stan walters. love u merrill but can u see . how is your vision? i knew it was barnett that recovered the ball right away by his number.you got help to id number 96.i saw it on you tube. maybe time for a new guy? hey merrill you can go out on top. your last call a super bowl winner. merrill your best days are behind you.i grew up listening to you call a game and made me feel for the eagles because i heard it in your voice. the joy and frustration could be heard only be described by you. merrill its time. anybody else feel this way.?
My God what an awful posting. About as insensitive and utterly lacking in social skills as anyone could exhibit. Disgusting. Social skills, after age 10 or so, cannot be taught. You are in forfeit and default, socially, and surely divorced a couple times by now.
dude its pretty obvious his eye sight is starting to go. just listen to his calls from a couple years ago and its completely different. I love the guy and always put him on over the tv guys but this year was pretty brutal for him and not gonna lie it was hard to listen to at times.
brooks hill Soooo he should retire because he didn't immediately say who recovered it? That might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's like you've never watched a sporting event before.
brooks hill ... first of all MORON, neither he or mike watch the tv like you when calling the games. If u ever watch videos of them inside the booth you wouldn’t be such an idiot and assume they can see everything from that far away. Mike uses binoculars but there is always a play scout or (numbers scout) as they are called to the left of Merrill handing him cards each play on the players making the play so Merrill can just call the game as fluidly as possible. Not only that but the producer behind them watches and hands Merrill information throughout the game . You sir are a fucking moron and have you ZERO clue what you are talking about. Merrill is as sharp as ever and I hope he calls games for another 20 years
The greatest play in Eagles history
rocablockrocafella U Mean The Greatest Fumble Recovery In Eagles History!

Nah the Philadelphia special
@@B2S1editz I won't disagree. I just lost my shit more at this one. Go Birds.
Eagles history. Nope. More like all of Philadelphia Sports history. Easy.
I can't believe he called it. He wished it right before that play and it was granted
It wasn't quite as immediate as the video makes it seem as I remember. Still impressive, I think it was right at the beginning of that drive.
Merrill knows his team

When I’m feeling down, I play this. And everything is good once again.
BG went from being labeled a 1st round bust mediocre edge rusher to Eagles Legend. This strip sack makes me tear up still.

Still gets me every time. Chris Long congratulating BG on the sideline and 55 cannot even process what just, what he did, what he brought to us.
There is the turnover we PRAYED for
Merrill Reese is the best.
Yes he is!!!
@phantomangel21 as a lifelong Bengals fan I've said in all my years of watching NFL Highlights he's head & shoulders above all.

God what a beautiful play. This will hold me over until the Eagles win another SB.
I always keep coming back to these highlights every few months. Such a fun season and team to watch.
We’re looking pretty good this year!
Replying to this so you come back now haha
We could be 8 days out.
i still get chills on this game😩😢

Tom Brady is a legend, I wouldn't have wanted our SB win to have come against any other player
Everytime I want to cry happy tears, I play this. Best day of our lives!

i have to keep watching these to make sure its real. i still can't believe it.
Thanks Chic- Fila -A! I knew you had our backs
Look at the double-team on Fletcher Cox #91
And he still got to Brady at the end
I Remember This Fumble Running Around and Going Crazy Yelling Like a Idiot "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD"!
I was saying the same thing with my hands on top of my head.
I shrieked “we’re gonna win the Super Bowl!!!”
I was running around my Friends House hesitating to run outside!
Screaming my head off! Like it was no ones’ business. Furniture in my house lost all gravity. Total utter pandemonium.
I was screaming "ITS FUCKIN OVER"
It still brings me tears of joy to see this.
An awesome time to be an Eagles fan!!!

this is why brandon graham is my favorite player.
Best moment ever!!
"There is that turnover we prayed for!!" Wiping tears of joy from my eyes right now. 😊
Greatest game ever. I will never forget watching this at my friend's house. We were going NUTS!
I cried when I watched this live. Eagles fans waited so long for this!
0:35...Kraft thinking of all the Asian tugs he could've been getting instead of watching that game.
Ctfu @ Asian tugs
The second “Boy oh boy!” from Quick gets me every time. It takes a second for it to sink in that that could be game 1:04
Merrill couldn’t contain himself here lmao totally flubbed the call but you can hear how excited he was I don’t blame him
I will never get tired of this :)

Me and my Pops were laughing like the Joker and stomping around in joy lol
One of the happiest days of my life
I'm surprised the refs didn't call it an incomplete pass!
Robert Quesada That’s a testament to the officiating crew. There’s a reason why the group of seven were selected to officiate the Super Bowl.
Robert Quesada it was a good crew, for once. It was very a neutral. No bs calls all game.
It's not an incomplete pass because his arm never went forward it only went forward after the ball came out so that is a legitimate fumble
@@m.m14433 THANK YOU GENE STARATORE for not fucking that game up

As someone who hates the Patriots and the silver spoon, do-nothing Kraft kids, I get boundless joy at 0:35
Brady tried to pull another tuck rule!!!🤣
Amazing how Chick Filet got to Brady and stripped the ball.
Some Pats fans were hoping for a roughing the passer call.

Brandon is still with us!
wow they really needed to force some ads in there
I can't believe they ruled this a fumble. Brady's arm was clearly going forward.
I don't know if your comment is sarcastic, but the replay at 1:00 shows Brady had lost control of the football long before his arm moves forward.
Bill Belichek threw the Superbowl. Didn't play Malcom Butler.
if 69 doesn't pinball off of the other defensive end, he would go right past brady.
Sad Brady is best Brady lol
No tuck this time cheater.
